The magic book
“Hello my child, my name is Mr Snice,” the old man announced. Jimmy got scared and turned around awkwardly. “This is my shop, do you like it?”
Jimmy didn’t know what to say, so he just nodded. “That is my book of wishes, you are free to look around the shop but do NOT touch my book!”
A moment later, Mr Snice disappeared with a tap of his long stick. Behind his back, Jimmy opened the book and saw some kind of a different world. It had cities, towns, roads, oceans, parks, mountains and all other stuff. And somehow it looked familiar. On the table he found a pen, so he drew a desert with a path leading to a small little house.
“Follow me,” whispered the K9. So without thinking, Jimmy slammed the book and followed. The dog led him to a door in the middle of a random alley. Jimmy didn’t know what to do so he entered. He landed in a desert,
“Wait,” he thought. It was the same desert that he drew in the book. There was a path of sand leading to a small house, so he followed it. The small house also looked familiar. He thought long and hard if it was safe to go inside, and after some long thinking, he went inside.
Inside the cottage there is everything you need: a cosy warm living room; a nice little kitchen with a fire; an eating table that has a steaming kettle and a cup; a second storey and a nice warm bedroom. “Hello,” said Jimmy. But he was met by silence.
A second later, he heard a sound. He opened the kitchen door and saw a very scary looking figure: red eyes; and really sharp nails. Jimmy opened the house door and ran as fast as his legs could go. He ran to the location where the door was but nothing was there- just plain sand. He kept running and behind him a voice hissed,“Come back!”
