Emporium Story Chapter 4 Library of secrets
Worried, Clara followed the hooded man and he led her to a large Black door with a gold door Handle. Carefully the man opened the door ,with a loud creak that made the corridor shake with fear and her spine shiver, leading her inside closing the door behind him. A candle light flickered on and lit up a large room. Rows and rows of bookshelves were filled with leather bound books that sat on the wonky oak shelves. But one book caught her attention. The past of of Phillip Bow, Her father. She thought to herself. Mabey she could find how and why her father left all those years ago and maybe, just maybe, she could go back?
Like a child in a sweet shop, Clara searched through the book franticly. Looking for information that could help her and her mother become a happy family once again, But if she didn’t then she knew that this would not happened. Deep down Clara loved her father even thought he hadn’t been there for most of her life, She turned to the next page started reading.
She started reading. She read quickly scanning for the right information. What would she do If she couldn’t find anything. Then she found what she was looking for: the page. It was an biography about him, Phillip Bow. Later that day she knew why her father had left her. Something about his old boss, the man he looked up to, the shopkeeper. Michael Green. She also new why the Emporium was now forgotten.
Many Years before this event happened a mysterious man took over the shop and he destroyed the wonder and the magic. No one knew of the man that used to own the shop but only the story that lay before them. She had never knew what had happened before she was born but the reason her father left her was because he was trying to protect the wonders and his family. Clara discovered a new side to her father.
Feeling a sharp pain of guilt, She walked through the cold empty marble corridors , under the chandeliers and followed the signs over to the room of the bubbles. She read the golden sign, hopefully for the last time, and opened the delicate solitary blue door with a old door knob. She walked over to the first memory that she saw, the one with her father and her mother eating dinner like a normal family. A man was watching that memory as well. Her father was watching the memory. She walked closer to him and she talked. ” Why are you crying?” Clara said ” I’m coming with you home again to see mother and we’ll be a happy family again. ” Well first we need to get out of this dreadful place,” Laughed Clara
They walked out of the bubble room and they out of the marble corridor for the last time looked back at the wonders and then at her dad. Clara felt something crawl up onto her shoe and tug at her shoelace. It was pickle, the small green lizard. I crouched down and picked up the cold green lizard and I felt myself shed a tear. I shook it off and put Pickle back on the floor again. I put my hand on the door, closed my eyes, touched the handle and opened it.
She opened her dark blue eyes and looked around, confused. What was happening? She wasn’t in the same place she started of in. The scenery was different! I looked around and saw a landmark that she had seen once before. It was the the Big Ben. They were in London!
