The Colourful Mask
The Colourful Mask
I put on the red mask,
And could taste the sweet
flavour of a strawberries
A field full of poppies
And the sight of beautiful scarlet
Roses in the distance.
I put on the green mask
And could taste the fresh
Crunch of an apple,
An emerald catching the light,
Waiting to be found.
I put on the blue mask,
And saw the waves bouncing up and down,
The fresh taste of a blueberry melting in my mouth,
And a field with a small blanket left to fight for itself.
I put on the yellow mask
And saw the sun glaring down at me like I was his slave,
The dandelion jumping up like a tree,
The fresh taste of a tall glass of orange juice.
