The Mask of Colours

 

I wore the blue mask and saw a pebble skim across the river’s surface,

A kingfisher dive underneath and bluebells frozen in the distance.

 

I wore the ruby mask and saw a fiery red spark burning onto my eyes.

 

I wore the white mask and saw, white snow falling down, on the pale floor.
