A Rainbow of Masks

I wore a red mask and saw

a Chinese dragon dancing in the streets,

a person eating an apple

and someone squeezing a strawberry.

I wore a blue mask and saw

the ocean waving at me,

a blue whale jumping out the water

and Neptune going out of orbit.

I wore a white mask and saw

a lot of different shapes of clouds,

milk drip onto the floor

and sheep getting shaved.

I wore a green mask and saw 

an emerald shining,

some grass blowing about with the wind

and the Brazilian flag waving about.

I wore a black mask and saw

the midnight sky in the darkness,

a black cat sneaking around 

and someone scratching a black chalkboard.

I wore a yellow mask and saw 

the sun was beaming in my eyes,

dandelions waving in the wind

and little ducklings crossing the road.
