Darkwhispers Dylan SWW

Darckwishper story Dylan

You’ve probably been on a skyship with your family. In summer, you may have flown over ancient cities with majestic temples and grand palaces, hovered high above dense green rainforests. Whilst you travelled above the salty seas, you probably gazed at small fleets of fishing boats and caught the excited voices fishermen as they made their first catch. You might have travelled to an island to have a festive family picnic on the hot sandy beach, play a game of hide and seek in the trees or to just have a relaxing family time. When you flew there under the blue skies, a warm breeze gently brushed along your face and you felt as free as a bird. Travelling by skyship in the summer is like that.

But travelling, on an expedition to unknown land you could get lost and be you may never return. You should try a skyship journey in the darkest days of winter when the cold winds freeze your breath and the frost clings onto your fingers. You shouldn’t be there when the ice dragons attack stealing your food, freezing the water and worst of all firing daggers of ice towards the skyship’s balloon. Nobody has ever experienced what animals may lurk around the island in the menacing night.

The crowds cheered as the skyship Shadow rose from land. Preparing to leave, it hovered for a moment to peer down at the crowd. Captain Elf stood proudly to show that nothing was going to get in his way to victory.

Billy and Ryan gazed down as the ship took off and travelled away from the village until all that was left was a small dot. They could see dolphins flying along the water as they followed the skyship from beneath. They could hear the sound of birds fighting over forgotten fish and screaming after every hit that have hit them. Billy grinned as they set off on an adventure through the gloomy night.

Within an hour, the Shadow was sailing away from the island that they grew up in with thoughts in their heads asking them. Will it be ok? Will we ever return home? Shivers shot down Billy’s spine. Ryan sighed, “I wonder if we will find Ermitage Wrigglesworth,” he muttered, waited for a reply from Billy. A few seconds later, Billy replied, “I wonder if anyone will beat us. Last time we lost by a minute.”

That night, the weather was cold with icy rain appearing from the sky. The moonlight beamed though the rain and onto the Shadow like a wolf’s eye. Down under the deck, Billy could see a tall stone tower probably the biggest one that he had ever seen. Suddenly Ryan appeared and looked down then saw an army of boats heading towards them. Without warring, Billy was gone.

Chapter 2

Over the next few weeks, the Shadow sailed through icy rain. Silent snow planted itself on to the skyship’s Balloon. Strong storm chased after the skyship like it was racing to a finish line. One morning, they woke to hear that the sound of lacking lightning had disappeared and far below an island with bushes that are like the scales of a dragon. slowly they had plenty of places that the ship could land t. According to Billy’s map, it was calling the island of darkness. his heart skipped a beat.

Scanning over the side, Captain Elf used his binoscanner until he spotted a skyship stuck in the trees he called to the team, “everyone Prepare to land!” The skyship looked smaller than their one Ryan peered over the Shadows hull, with a lot of question about the wreck then he asked “Had Wrigglesworth landed here?”

The rigging stilled; everyone crowed all around the side of the deck Billy and Ryan glazed across the side look for where the small ship lay sadly. To one side trees with ancient animals lived on the other side a lake rapped around the land. Above the clouds departed like soldiers that are welcoming the sun in.

The crew were clumped all at the exit getting ready to look for clues that this was Wrigglesworth’s skyship. Ryan scrambled on to the ship searching every possible spot that a clue could be hidden away from them after countless cheats and draws he was shock after he shouted “Look!” he ran to graver everyone up, they carefully tested it to see if it was Wrigglesworth’s map. Suddenly, “look!” Billy exclaimed then a small piece of hair was visible to them.

“We’ll set up camp here” she called, “and tomorrow we’ll search for Ermitage Wrigglesworth.” Soon the camp was set up. As the shadows lengthened and the sun went into hiding behind the tall trees. Billy and Ryan sat on a log rosting marshmallows in the cold breeze also hoping that they would not need to go too far to find the lost explorer. Sparks drifted away as the wood smoke made their eyes smart defend away

It was at that moment, Billy thought that he was being watch he saw a shadow. Something with a smoky outline in the darkness. A stick snapped. A branch cut in half. A leaf tumbled to the ground.

He stared into the darkness Billy took a step back.
