At dawn, Captain A.Mahmood handed out the papers and a second later everyone was gone to complete two tasks. One set went searching for necessities to live ; the other went searching for ripe coconuts. Ramsey was alone with the instructions to stay still and keep her mouth shut.

It wasn’t long before Ransey was tired. The messy wreck of Haider’s small skyship made her throw up in her mouth. She then realised that she hadn’t seen Tej all night. In fact, he wasn’t on deck either. A quick search on deck showed this.

So, she slyly ran away to hide under a palm tree and began running again to the top of a sand dune ; he saw a bunch of palm trees and inside there were lots of shadows. Coconuts rained on the sandy floor. The shining sun sparkled onto the leaves, bees buzzed like a massage chair and she sniffed the scent of coconut water. It smelt like a dirty bin bag, she turned what was that figure moving in between the trees?

Quickly and gently, a humongous shape tiptoed forwards. For a moment, she saw a strike of red eyes. It was at that moment as if her body was grabbed by claws and wrapped with wings. Slowly, a throat cleared and said “ Stand with me it is safe.” It was an angelic, soft voice, on the edge of a loud voice, but wrapped with lots of love. Walking towards her, a bear was revealed. Shocked, Ramsey was paralysed with fear but its red eyes helped her go back to normal. Departure was hopeless.

Phoenix-bears are very rare. They have the ability to not only fly but to easily retreat from battle. It is lucky that they are peaceful with humans! Ramsey was awestruck that she was reunited with Tej inside a pyramid where phoenix-bears lived. They had been caring for Haider when his skyship crashed.

The chief was an amazing phoenix of old age and he warned them “Unicorn-pegasus are near!” Pressing a blue diamond into Tej’s hand, the phoenix queen hissed “You’ll need this!”

With the phoenix-bears’ help, the kids took Haider back to the crystal. Captain Mahmood and the crew had appeared, Ramsey told the warning. Quickly, everyone jumped on board… firing the engine, storing food and pushing the ship. They prepared to leave.

But they were late.
