You are a football match
You are like a panda,
picking a perfect moment to move as fast as lighting when you get hit.
You are an ancient goal post,
50 years old, a ragged net and rusted posts. You have seen many goals but never felt it.
You are a fanatic fan,
watching your team and screaming all the way like a lion in distress.
You are a pounding player,
that has always wanted to score all his life like when a lion wants his prey.
You are a regional ref,
mean like a happy hyena and a lazy lion.
You are the dreaded VAR,
lurking and picking a perfect moment to check for handball.
You are a 100 year old pitch,
one that had been abandoned since the world war and can’t wait to be touched.
You are the only two cards that have been in a human’s pocket,
you’re ready to get shown to the world.
You are a moaning manager,
one that has been sacked – now you’re in china.
You are the only cabo cup that can’t wait to get life like a baby when they are born.
I love your choice of words it is very descriptive and I love football it’s such an interesting poem.
