The number seven bus stopped with a shudder of the engines and then there was silence. Passengers of the bus all groaned in displeasure except one old man. He staggered out of the bus and up the hill straining to walk against the wind. Then he turned right into an overgrown garden that was attached to a small cottage labelled 56 Windermoore Lane. Glad to get out of the storm, the man stumbled over to a worn, old table and sat down on a similarly worn chair. Now he just needed to wait for them to arrive and all this would be over.
