Notice the unnoticed

It doesn’t have to be
Shallow deep-grey rock pools.
Or the green grassy fields starting to grow greener and louder like the dawn-chorus.
Or the special silence surrounding us every minute every second.

It could be
Finding your self stuck behind a large, green ground-rumbler stalking slowly like a prowling cat.
Or the unusual smell of dry, brown cowpat spread across the vast grass-keepers.
Or the sparkling, diamond rain drops trickling down your pale face.

Just pay attention
To all the things you’re missing
From the delicate, pale leaf skeleton lying quietly on the lonely road side.
To the pink, purple summer evening sun starting to set.
