Prologue

You’ve probably seen land-on-sea.In summer,you would probably dig sandcastles,enjoy the bright sunshine and look for an ice-cream van to get ice-cream.You would obviously climb the rockwall and have the time of your life. But in winter,you would never ever want to come because in winter storms and blizzards happen.The snow falls and you freeze like you’re an  ice cube standing in the middle of the continuously snowy Antarctica. Even locals say stay away, they have a very good reason!

Chapter one

My name is Karat Terret. I work at an amazing museum.Most people would call me Kerry Terri.I work as a  night watcher. I take care of all the things that live at night! You would probably think i’m crazy but I am not.When i say living i mean LIVING.It sounds like I have a horrible time taking care of these living creatures, but visitors come at night so that’s how i am safe. We aren’t that busy in winter since nobody comes nowadays. 

A boy stares and taps on the window and whispers pretty loudly and says “Let Me In” staring at her not knowing what to do. Well too late now the museum is closed. He looks so cold I open the window and he comes in. He says “HIDE ME!”

Before I continue there is a story I should tell you a long time ago, like about 14 years ago. Local legends have said there was a creature called Vapomander. He was spikey and smelled like rotten eggs.It looked like an alien with spiked hair.He would usually come in winter, He had an enormous footprint as large as a Stegosaurus.

Some say that he has trouble looking for food,since he eats humans and no humans come in winter.A lost child who had gone in winter, said that when he went he never came back!To hide my scream I said ”what is the matter?”  

Chapter two  

We sat for a moment and I asked “What did you see?” Outside I can see a storm and lightning splattering in every direction while the rain gets heavier and heavier every minute.  Before she even answers, I already have a clue of what she is going to say. She claims to have seen the Vapomander.

An hour later, we set off on a trip in darkness. Juweria and I tiptoed past the ally and kept our mouths SHUT as glue. All I can say about Juweria is she is the most

bossiest person I have ever met. The dark blue sea blows as hard as it probably could as the wind pushes it very hard.The distant rumble storm cracked and shackles as it stretches down.

We passed the beautiful rainbow, the lovely fish and chip shop and the one and only MOONLIGHT club. All of them packed up ready for their shift to be finished.And in the blink of an eye everyone disappeared and nobody was out. 

Juweria hugs me and says  “please  protect me. My answer is ok ” I will protect you. Wait a minute what is that it looks like green fur with spiked lines on it like a Rhino.I..It looked like what Juweria saw!The sand revolves and gets dried by the sea and the rain makes a tsunami spears through the beach but luckily and I and Juweria are far away from it.

 Without a breath,We head on into the dark house.At that exact moment we enter and we see a fridge.In the fridge there was a human, meaning someone must have entered the dark house.Someone sighed heavily pausing as still as a mannequin.I said “Is anyone here” as i instantly regret it.

Quietly we look in the house and we see a dark shadow we hide and take a close look at it.It had a spiked head, a long body and 2 short legs and long arms.It had red eyes and thick eyelashes.I could smell him,he was very stinky.I don’t think he has showered in days.

Outside we hear the lightning shattered inside we hear the big illusions.Vapomander bends in a swift move.He breaks the plates and the glasses the door almost broke.He opened his teeths and almost made the full house shake.Just like an enormous tsunami.But as much as I felt scared,i was as safe as a rock.As the long waves crashed together.
