Chapter 3
Robert sat quietly in the iron shed, staring at the dirty floor, while Waris searched impatiently for a way out. He checked the window, but it was too small, even a spider couldn’t fit through there,
and he screamed but it didn’t work. He barged the wall and tried to pick the lock.
Angry, he snapped at Robert for not helping, “Instead of sitting there in disbelief looking like a wet raccoon you might at least hype me up!” But it seemed Robert had given up.
As darkness fell, inside shadows stalked Robert and Waris the shed felt full of disbelief and soon enough the shed ws pitch black. Outside stars danced the night and a half moon casting a unusual
light across the houses of the Brackbrigde Manner . At that moment, Waris heard a strange noise. Within a millisecond, they were both at the window peeking out. There were red eyes glowing like a demon.
It was Hamza, their mechanical dog.
Waris wound him up, and he dropped a tiny key into his hand .
Using the key, Waris carefully unlocked the door. Him and Robert ran out into the moonlit garden, following Hamza
across the lawn to the safety of an old farm. There, Robert lit a fire while Waris told,
every single thing they discovered. They were finally free, but questions still remained : where was the unusual clock, and what happened to John Harmtan and his airship plans?
