Chapter 4
Waris dreamed of his mother’s gentle voice calling him. He was sprinting, sprinting down a long darkened hallway towards the voice. As he went closer the voice drew further.
When he woke up on the farm, sunlight was zooming in Robert and Waris’ eyes. Robert was still asleep, but Hamza was wide awake, cleaning his skin. He looked up at Waris with his emerald halfway closed. Waris sneaked over and began to wind him up. After a while, he stretched and muttered. “That’s better by all tick tocks , it’s time to get what is truthfully yours. I saw the professor 5 minutes ago. Get up you lazy bones we have got work to do, I wish I never saved you.”
“Oi, mate I was having an impeccable dream until you disturbed it,” Robert shouted.
Together, Waris, Robert and Hamza snuck over in the airship, where they saw the evil CEO carrying a wooden box on board. Hamza led the way into the airship, and Robert opened the box, finding glory that they rightfully own. But with a blink of an eye, the CEO spotted them and shouted angrily at Waris. Waris
quickly released the airship ropes and they jumped up in the sky. The three watched, as the CEO had anger issues and bellowed insults up at them.
Below deck, they found John Hartman tied up. Waris freed him.
“Come on,” he said, clambering on deck and taking control of the airship. “We will soon put some distance between ourselves and that villain, find somewhere to land and then seek out the bobbies.”
As the airship floated above the countryside, the children enjoyed the view. Tiny houses looked like ants and began becoming giants as they drew closer. Snowflakes began to fall swirling down and Waris felt happy with his father again. Hamza curled up and went asleep as Christmas drew closer.
