Mask of colours
I put on the mask of sunny yellow and I saw a grotty old forgotten piece of cheese sitting alone in the fridge, a lovely excited canary flying lightly in the breeze, and a bright lovely sun waiting patiently for night to fall on the town.
I put on the mask of minty green and I saw, nn elder oak tree leaves growing back ever so slowly, nn old lovely grape fading away, and the soft chewy mints one by one dissolving in the stomach.
I put on the mask of marmalade orange and I saw, a tiger scowling in the distant jungle so far away, a marmalade cat purring for its oh so good food, and a cherished sunset over the lovely sunset.
I put on the mask of white souls and I saw, a starving well-known sheep eating rapidly, the Halloween costumes of tiny children trying to scare me, and majestic pieces of paper hoping to be used.
I put on the mask of redness and I saw, blood on a bitter sharp knife, luscious raspberries and I started eating them, and anger taking over people around me. By Jack Lancaster Road Primary School
