Spring and Winter Haiku

Spring

The trees grow their leaves back

Flowers blossom peacefully

The warm weather begins to grow

Winter

Trees sway in the cold wind.

A blanket of snow covers the town.

Icy lakes crack and break.

Autumn

Rainy days, empty trees and scary pumpkins,

Line the quite streets that

Children once played out on.

Black cats and witches, dark days and stars,

Halloween approaches,

As children collect chocolate bars.

Parties and treats galore!

Coloured leaves in red, green and gold

With conkers and acorns littering the floor.

Summer

I love Summer lots

waves crashing on the beach

the soft sand is hot.

The sun is burning

The trees have lots of leaves on

People swimming.

Planes flying high

People enjoying themselves

People driving home.

summer

Airplanes in the sky,

The waves going up the beach,

Ice cream in your hands,

walking down the beach,

sun bathing in the sun,

playing in the sand.

Seasons greetings

I can smell chestnuts,

I feel the wrath of the cold,

I hear the birds call.

Roasting on an open fire,

I can taste the tradition,

I see the snowflakes.

Feeling warmth again,

In this time of year we’ll sing,

We’ll wear coats again.

Dancing in the moon,

The trees are naked with cold,

Mistletoe again.

Seasonal Haikus-By Olivia

The fire roars

The stars start to show

 The children Snore

Windows frozen

Chocolate gets consumed

Spits of white snow

Flowers blossom

Grass gets cut short

Chicks tweet

Sun glistens

Ice cream melts

Children scream

Haiku by Alahna

Smell the turkey being cooked,
in the new brand  slow cooker,

While watching a christmas movie.

Bonfire roars when you throw,

Smelly petrol on it while the,

children run around the bonfire.
