The butter venom

The butter venom

The butter venom is a life stealing type of butterfly that was found in Tuvalu. Since that day all sorts of people have been trying to find out all about it and specifically its diet so they would know what this venomous creature eats.

Appearance

The butter venom has a pretty patterned wing. It is supposed to make people think it is a nice creature but it is certainly not. Some more of the features are the venomous thorax speedy wings, laser hearts, pretty patterned hearts that shoot out bullets. You will know when you see a butter venom because they have pink, green and blue wings and the thorax shines like a coin. They are very hard to see so BE CAREFUL They may be pretty and nice, but secretly they are toxic venomous insects.

What it does

Most people believe that many creatures are gentle and that scientists are giving fake information, but the people do not know anything. The insects could kill you within a minute with a bullet, and inside the bullet is a poisonous liquid and also could faint if this does happen. As well as that, archaeologists and hematologists have explained an ambulance needs to be called if you have been hit by the butter venom. If you happen to see a butter venom immediately run away or shove it with a mop.

chapter 4

Paying no attention to the voice that hit her ears, Layla stopped where the approximate calculation of the door must have been. Not a door was seen but a lake that popped out through the glass. It was a mysterious black water line with illusions all around. Inky grass drew a rectangle on every side. Looking down at the water she could definitely see an odd door below the water.

Cautiously, she ducked deep into the water. Under the midnight water was the trace of the door. Her stomach filled with butterflies. Anxiously, she had to breathe so she went a little bit faster. Quickly she tugged the handle and then suddenly it was open. She walked along the corridor as if the lake was chucking her out. Tired, she lay down breathing heavily. The door was closed.  Awesomely her clothes were wet free as she returned back to the emporium. Was this just a dream?

Disappointedly, she sneakily walked through the curtains. Mr Whitlock called out. “Did you enjoy yourself? You have come back.”

Layla nodded, unsure of how she was feeling .

“What usually happens ” Mr Whitlock told Layla, “you can go anywhere you like but you have to be curious when going somewhere also when you are warned not to do it. He slowly took off his shiny hat, stroked it and grinned.

Layla rushed out onto the path and then, suspiciously wanting to find out what was going to happen, she turned. Mike was gone! It was like he had never been in this world. She felt goosebumps and then she shivered.

Maybe a different day just not today she thought. She shrugged and walked home.

What nobody knew was that a pearl white dove was following her. It hid behind trees, and jumped over bushes. It stared as she disappeared through her door. It had no worries.

Chapter 2+3

“I am Mike Whitlock”  he uttered, scanning Layla as she looked down at the floor.

“This is my beloved stall. Beautiful isn’t it?” She was unsure what to say so she grinned anxiously. “This is my book of secrets” You may touch anything you like. BUT just not the BOOK!”

A few moments later, Sir Mike Whitlock vanished with a click behind the door. Layla was lonely. Unconcerned, she flipped the book open. On each page a new adventure awaited, there were pictures of galaxies, rides, skies ,rainbows and much more. This was where the adventure began.

Unexpectedly Layla took a pen and started drawing a dark garden. She drew a secret path that led somewhere but along with that, she drew the box of the unknown.

“Over here,” called the dove.

Layla shut the book and out of the blue she went along with it. She opened a door and she stepped not in a room but in a dark and gloomy garden. It was a sad and quiet garden, no noise, not even a bird call, all the flowers were dead and the squirrels were too tired to run up the trees. Then she noticed a path into the house  because there was no door. The weirdest thing had happened. It was the path that she drew the box of.

Mr Whitlock’s book. Without stopping she ran down the path…

Her head throbbed like it never had before. The home had nothing, no clothing; no food at all; no bathroom; no living room; not even a wardrobe; NOTHING.

“Is anyone here,” Layla screeched as quiet as a mouse. Maybe somebody was here she thought, but there was no reply.

A few seconds later, she heard a creak. Turning round she opened the one door of the house. It was now she saw the thing: It had ebony eyes, a curled piece of hair; really long claws and a tail longer than a giraffe’s neck. She pushed the only door, and ran faster and faster but nothing was chasing her. She looked behind. Silence.

“I want you” whispered a voice

The Emporium

Layla had always been suspicious and curious but her brothers repeatedly warned her that it could lead to chaos. One freezing Friday, Layla was normally walking down Manchester road when she suddenly took notice of the Emporium, the bright OPEN! sign and the open door. Her mind stopped and she walked inside…

She was in the EMPORIUM.

All around the room she saw old small and rusty cars, little nokia phones and brand new sharpened pencils. Layla’s hands could not stop reaching out to the toys. She hugged all the dusty teddies and stroked the doll’s hair. She could not get enough of it. It also seemed like she was the only one there.

Inside the open cupboard there were all sorts of pencil toppers, Christmas ones, Halloween ones and animal ones. She wanted to pop the whole of the Emporium in her pocket. She heard 80`s music and she started dancing while trying on the leather hats. As she tried on the golden jewelry she caught a glimpse of a shiny journal. She opened the book. It was the recent days of October. She saw smiles from little girls and a pocket caught her eye. Inside there seemed to be a picture of an old woman.

“I see you have discovered my book of secrets” croaked a voice.  Layla shut the book and lay it back down on the table she looked at the owner.

He was a tall man with a leather hat on but what she really cared about was the fact that there was a pearl white dove on his shoulder.

The five senses

If I were summoned

to create a treasure

I would take:

The sound of

The pearl white tigers roar,

The sucking noise from someone slurping spaghetti

And the horrific howl of a race car.

The touch of

The best hugs from my mum,

The furry feeling from a bunny

And the comfort of holding your brother’s hand.

The sight of

The happy smiles on your birthday,

The umbrellas popping when it is raining

And your sisters and brothers are sleeping soundly.

The taste of

The first nugget from the plate,

The freshly cut cucumbers

And the smooth soft success.

The smell of

The perfume your mother sprayed,

The smelly but refreshing rain

And the newly grown daisies.

The fabulous doors

Go and open the rose door,

maybe you will find rare, rosy feathers from flamingos,

a glass of  strawberry lemonade making your mouth water

or a pretty dress just waiting to be worn.

Go and open the teal door,

maybe you will feel an ocean breeze hitting you hard,

there might be a shining necklace that smiles at you

or a puya flower that is as beautiful as the necklace.

Go and open the clear door,

maybe there will be a crystal clear diamond,

there might be a mirror that shines like the sun

or water in a glass sat there quietly.

Go and open the ruby door,

maybe there is a sunset setting,

there could be a ruby red quality street rapper laying on the floor

or one of the Queen’s jewels glimmering in the night.

Go and open the ebony door,

maybe your aunt’s death haunts you till you are asleep,

the bats pitch black eyes stare into your soul

or the obsidian rocks stomp louder than a roar.

My meomory

My memories is made from –

A bestie leaving the school with no notice,

A loved one leaving the world and you can never forget the memories,

The day of when a friend from Year 6 goes to high school,

I found memories-

Singing in my head as I sleep,

Running through my whole body as I am writing,

Seeing a friend holding their hand out like snakes releasing their tongue,

Showing myself in a damp pond seeing a loved one stood next to me,

Watching small memories on a phone,

Where a grave talks to you as you cry your eyes out.

This memory can-

Transform a deep dark pond into the beautifulest butterfly ever,

Turn a happy face to a sad face,

It can make a ladybug cry,

And it can break a heart as it fades.

Chapter 1

Aisha Hussain had not wanted to leave her precious mother. She was all she had since her father left for war and her 2 brothers went along with him. She missed her family. She stared out her bedroom window and a wail called out but then slowly faded. She wanted her mother to come pick her up.

Her first day of school had now disappeared from her brain. Her teacher was a  kind teacher named Miss Mohammed. She started to understand that Aisha was a very clever kid. She put her on the third row because if she looked at her she would be doing her work. Aisha smiled as she wrote her numbers to a hundred. As the bell rang, she got her learning book out and did her work even though it was a break. She never wanted to leave school even though Miss Khan was super nice.

The days turned into weeks and months and Aisha loved her new home but still loved and wanted her mother. Everyday she would wash the dishes, clean her bedroom and always did her homework. Mrs Khan had friends named Miss Booth and Miss Cook who came round who also had kids that were evacuees and they came to do their work with her because they were in the same class. They would also help each other a lot.

Outside, the bushy big apple tree grows and she picks apples from them and the bluebells shimmer and glow and she cannot pick these or else she will get in big trouble.

Inside the dampness begins to spread and the spiders crawl faster than a cheetah running.

Every night, Aisha was woken by a creek, crack and a crumble .  Aisha cautiously tiptoed out of her room and went quietly to the stairs. It’s not long until she finds out. She could not stand it. She ran to the attic and opened the doors. She moved the door slowly. All she could see was one  BABY ELEPHANT! She was shocked.
