Chapter 2 of cogheart story By Axel SWW

Chapter 2

Gingerly, Lincon peered round the street. Woodmania. It stood as still as a grandfather clock. A shout, someone was lost; they got closer and closer. Linconsens was still bathing in oil. His oil coated fur stuck to everything that got near him. There it was, number 407 Woodmania. Scared, they peered round every corner that they went by, seeing if anyone was near. Frosted leaves scattered the road making it slippery. Weeping willows diffused the fields; making it extremely hard to get to the other fields. He got to the front door. The glass was smashed in so he could unlock it from the inside. A massive dark oak door lumbered open as he pushed it. He was in.

Spectacularly, Robert and Lincon knew exactly where to find the special stone: the bathroom. They crawled up the stairs trying not to make a sound. The padlock jiggled as they were getting closer to the bathroom. Someone beat them to it. The sound stopped. Suddenly, they peered round the corner expecting a dark figure to appear in their sight. But no. Nothing. They went to the bedroom to try and get the key to the padlock. They searched through all the draws until they found the key. Glowing, the golden like key sparkled in the sunlight, reflecting into both their eyes. Robert took the key and unlocked the door. They had got it.

Curious, Lincon picked up the stone, it started glowing orange. It got hotter and hotter until it started to burn his hand. Robert swooped it out of his hands and stared straight in the middle of it. “Wow, I’m going to take that home with me” whispered Robert, not knowing he said it out loud.
“What?” shouted Lincon. “That’s my nans and she’s dead now” shouted Lincon in Roberts face. They walked out the house both wondering how much it was worth.
“Its probably so rare you can’t get another, you should sell it for millions” muttered Robert.

“Hello” whispered and icy voice. Robert and Lincon spun round recognizing voice, they carried on walking out the house until they got to the door again. “You have finally met your match” whispered the icy voice again. They turned round to see Robert’s dad. Aron. Yet this time it wasn’t. It was a shapeshifting monster. Suddenly, a loud screech ingulfed the room. It had clearly been hear before. The monster like creature knew its way like the back of its hand. Scared, Robert closed his eyes hoping that it wont hurt him. Something touched him. Lincon ran out the room trying to distract the creature. Dodging, Lincon made the creature fall down the stairs. But it came back up almost instantly.

A few moments later Robert and Lincon woke up to a massive pile of rocks. They had bumped there head so hard that it had made them unconscious, but they had woken up, now. “That little rat!” Exclaimed Robert. “Were never going to get out of here!” Sighed Robert. The door was locked with a 50 cm lock that was made out of pure steel. They both kicked at it but it didn’t even budge. In his head he said to himself ‘we can do this’. It inspired them. to kick harder, they kicked harder. Nothing. They heard cracking at the door just as they gave up. Light glinted through the cracks as the door started to get weak. They were free.

Chapter 4 By Axel SWW

Chapter 4

Robert heard a familiar voice, he ran towards it. It sounded like it got closer, but as he got to the voice it would vanish into the depths of the castle. As he got to a dark, musty bedroom, Robert picked up a vase that was hundreds of years old. In a split second he teleported to a rocky mountain. Someone pushed him, as he got closer to the ground he started to panic. “This is just a dream” Robert thought to himself. Just as he was about to hit the ground, he woke up.

As he stumbled down the stairs he asked Lincon to make him breakfast. “NOOO, I’m tired”. Grudged Lincon. Robert held onto the railings to try and keep his balance, he started to slip on the stairs and slid down into the kitchen. They both had there breakfast and set off, they followed Linconsens to the house that Lincon’s stone was in. All of them crept to the stairs hoping that no one else was in there.

“Come give your old buddy a wind up for the cogs will ya?” He tocked again. It took Robert and Lincon to move the key at least once, they pushed as hard as they could, they couldn’t even do ten winds. They saw a purplish creature in the bathroom ready to flush the toilet with the stone in the bowl. Lincon jumped just as it flushed. The creature was like jelly, Lincon bounced right off. Sitting on the floor, Robert just watched lazily.

The creature just phased through the floor, they all headed to the nearest sewage centre. When they got to the nearest centre they hopped in hoping that they will find it straight away. They got pretty deep in until they found a big pile of random things. They searched through all the things. Staying back from the sludge, Linconsens stared wondering what he could do after they had got it back.

After they had got it back, they headed back to an airship that had landed nearby, but something made them stop. A whisper. A shout. Someone was coming. They began to run, there was no point in them trying. The creature caught them up in a split second. There was an old crack in the wall that Robert and Lincon could probably fit through. They began to crawl as quick as they could hoping that it didn’t know where they were. Meanwhile, Linconsens distracted the monster to try and let Robert and Lincon get as far as they could. Linconsens charged at the monster. He went straight through it like there was nothing in his way.

Lincon and Robert got to the airship. They had to go find Lincon’s dad. As they got to the crashed airship they found him lying on the floor. It looked like he was sleeping. “Lets go take him back to our airship” Robert hissed. They dragged him back to their airship. They lifted him onto the airship. They took off.

As Lincon’s dad woke up he glared at Robert “Who’s this eh?” Exclaimed Reggie. They made a great team. As they set towards the setting sun. Lincon hoped that the creature would never return. Linconsens was now gone forever.

Hungriness and Happiness Poem By Axel SWW

I found
Hungriness in a McDonalds chicken nugget factory,
Cheeseburgers flying out the cooker, waiting to be eaten,
small fries lightly salted,
Chicken wraps, getting filled with ketchup.

It can break the rules of physics, causing infinite food to fly out of restaurants,
And if this secret gets out, this world could be in great danger, bags exploding with food.

I found
Happiness trapped inside my palm waiting to be used,
Balloons filled with joy, popping with excitement,
Hershey’s chocolate sauce trickling into my mouth.

It can fill the world with happiness and change the world forever,
And if this secrets gets out it can perish any human life.

The Ship Of Sadness By Axel SWW

Sadness hangs off the hull,

making it nearly capsize.

The silver like hull shines in the grinning sunlight,
blinding any enemies.

The atavistic floor boards creaks as loud as big ben under the great weight,
depression fills the air.

Boredom haunts the deck,
turning any-one from happy to sad.

The crews life drained out of them,
their bodies flailing in the wind.

People gaze out to sea,
revealing there sadness.

Lights shine on there skin,
exposing scratches on them.

Chapter 4 By Axel SWW

Chapter 4
“It’s ok.” Jiffy’s voice softened. Behind us was a rock-solid wall. Jiffy put his hand out to show that he had no intention of causing any damage to the eggs or the Platamander. I had got to the very furthest corner of the cave, away from the creature and its eyes locked on to me. It was looking at me a certain way that I thought was peculiar. The eggs were cracking and shaking, “We mean no harm to you and your precious family,” said Jiffy calmly. We were about to leave but as we tried to get to the entrance, the Platamander stopped us from getting past.

The Platamander’s spines had flattened and its claws retracted, its face was calmer and its teeth were shorter. It had blue eyes glared at us. It was looking at me but it had now locked onto Jiffy, watching his every move. The air had got stuffy and the Platamander’s claws clawed at the air. It was like it was trying to show us something. It let us pass through the entrance. It was like Jiffy had bonded with the Platamander. The ocean had lead through the cave system. We had followed the trial of water as we knew it was leading to the entrance. “How do we keep this a secret?” whispered Jiffy,
“We could say that the cave caved in?” I suggested.

We were walking through the street and cars rushed past our faces. Luke’s Lagoon shop turned the closed sign to open. Money burned out of people’s purses. Outside of the cave, people queued for ice-cream. They grabbed the cones viscously, getting snatched by seagulls.

Finally we reached the van, Jiffy and I reached over to the coffee machine to make a coffee. We both exploded with joy. The story has not even started.

Chapter 2 By Axel SWW

Chapter 2

“What type of monster?” I asked,
“A dangerous one” replied the boy. I stared in silence hoping he wouldn’t ask a question.
“When did you first start this business?” the boy asked. I didn’t reply, “I’ve seen it.”
“when, why, how?” he stuttered over his words; he couldn’t reply without stuttering. I shut the window as it was getting cold. He allegedly saw the Platamander poaching fish.

A few moments later, the boy, who is name Jiffy Ducox, begged me to go outside. I went outside with him and waited for him to come back. A few minutes had past since he had first come out. I’ve decided to wait for him a bit longer a he hasn’t come back in the last thirty minutes. I am going after him as he still hasn’t come back, rain is spitting at my scalp, “I’m not giving up!” I shout to myself. The van getting smaller every minute I walk away.

I walked across town, Wookey-on-Sea wasn’t that far away, It wasn’t looking as good as it normally is. I got closer and closer, it was covered with lethal mud, I had to go across it to get some cover. The roof banned the rain from getting through, my hair as wet as a swimming pool.

Me and Jiffy walk over to the worn down pier, we saw a trail of spines leading towards an underwater cave, we followed it until it went into the ocean.

Silently, Jiffy and I creep over to where the cave starts its entrance “where does this lead?” I asked.
he doesn’t reply, I was worried that he was in his own mind and just went for it. He started swimming into the deep cave, I followed him behind not realizing that it was getting dark. I gently tapped his shoulder, he turned round, but he still kept on swimming. Turned round to see a round black face peering down into my eyes. I swam away and left Jiffy to swim down. When I got back to Wookey-on-Sea I sat down in one of the rooms. Thinking about what would happen to Jiffy or if he is already dead.

Outside, the wind blowing the deck chairs about, Inside the lights flickered. The Platamander broke through the door of the pier and launched itself to the end of the pier. Its gazing over the sea, seeing if its prey is near the shore, it spotted me. Its blue eyes widened as it saw me, jumping into the water to be unidentified. Its black face peering out the water.

Chapter 3 By Axel SWW

“We are never getting out of here” exclaimed Robert.
“Oh yes we will” shouted back Lincon. He kept on kicking the door until it started to crack; Nothing happened.

Robert hummed until Lincon shouted back at him to stop, “Hurry up and get your lazy body down here!” Lincon shouted. When they had got to the door they both pushed it with their feet to try and kick it open, they made a little crack and some splinters in the door. It was the best they had done in ages.

Back outside the warehouse Linconsens rubbed his metal tummy in shame (although on the inside he felt like he was going to vomit up all his cogs and springs.) “I shouldn’t have had that hot oil bath!” he wailed. Robert and Lincon pushed as hard as they could trying to make it out before Linconsens got there.

Robert heard the wail of Linconsens, “He’s here!” shouted Robert, Lincon could not believe it. They both heard thumping around the shed.

A big slash at the door broke it in half. “For ticking sakes how did you not get out.” Tocked Linconsens. All of them crouched out of the shed and snuck to a corner of a building trying not to get caught. They peered round every corner trying not to make a sound, although Linconsens cogs and motors whirled quietly. A pigeon flew by them staring at them as it went by.

“Your Father sacrificed himself for me” Linconsens admitted. Looking down at his shoes, Robert looked up to see wildlife all around him. “Where could he be” Lincon muttered. All of them slid down the mossy hill that the shed perched on. At The bottom of the hill was a note that had numbers on it. “The numbers, its the code!” Exclaimed the three of them. “Its has lots of 0 an 1s, was it binary?” exclaimed Lincon. Linconsens cog played a mechanical symphony as he walked. He left footprints in the grass do to his great weight, It was a clear sign that someone could follow them.
