My Happiness

My happiness is made from-
The chocolate chips in a sweet crunchy cookie,
The last page in my favorite book,
The colors in double rainbow,
The laughters of my loving family,
The feeling of mystery after a post-credit scene.

I found it-
Crying at the deepest and darkest corner of the sea,
Quivering at the side of Mount Wundagore,
Laughing in a bouncy castle with all its cousins,
Jumping up and down after climbing up a hill.

My happiness can-
make somebody’s day,
Turn a frown up-side down,
Add a rainbow in somebody’s cloud.

If I lost this happiness-
My whole world would crash in the darkest abyss, in the deepest corner of the universe…

My letter

Dear Mam,

Thanks a lot for hidin a can a soup in ma coat pocket I was well cold and hungry but It made me right warm. The train ride was well long but I got through it. First, before the train started some old broad named Mary gave me a name tag sayin Dave, ya know how I hate goin by that but was right awkward to ask em to change it to david. I fell sleep halfway through the ride so some small lad called John had ta wake me up, don’t know how i coulda gone sleep with the right small room I had.

 

Finally once we got there we all stood in a line and these women took turns choosin us. Turns out the broad named Peggy who chose me also chose John, the lad who I met on the train and some other lad called James.

 

Me James and John stay in this small cabin outside the big house. The first day we got here we had to do some jobs. First, we had to clean out the cabin we were staying in. Then we had to sort out all our clothes and choose our beds. Our room only had 2 draws so I kept mine in my bag.

 

We were pretty lucky because if an attack happened the cellar was right outside our cabin. On the first night I couldn’t sleep because with our lights one was fine but the other one was broken and was flickering and making right loud sounds all night.

 

The next day Mrs Carter took us for a walk and let us play on a field when we walked into the village called Emerald village we went onto then Adnakaw street which is the main street and it had loads of well nice flowers and it was nothing like home there was no cars or talking all you could hear was the birds tweeting and people saying good morning, Even though it is more peaceful than home I still miss home so much.

 

Before we went to the right big field Mrs Carter told us that on monday we will go to this amazing school.

 

I went to school yesterday. It only takes 10 minutes to walk and it was right good and I met some new people like this girl named Natasha and my teacher is called Mr Steve. We were at school for about two hours and for the last half hour of school we went to play outside. It was well fun. 

 

I know in this letter it sounds like I am so so happy but I am really missing you. I hope Dad helps beat Mr ****** and is okay and I hope you and Sammy are okay at hope bye bye. Speak soon

When the apple falls chapter 2

Mrs Sanderson told James and Peggy that the little cub she had saved was named Astrid. She was a small snow leopard, her fur was as white as a moonlit sail. She had beautiful blue eyes that were as icy blue as forget-me-nots. Her fur was soft and fluffy like a cloud of cotton candy, and her paws felt smoother than freshly fallen snow. Her ears always stayed up in the air as if they were filled with helium. Her tail was long and when she walked you could hear it slowly sliding across the floor. She wanted to play, so she slowly left Peggy’s lap and when she was tired she curled up on James’s lap.

 

“She likes lying on your lap James, she also likes playing with you Peggy” Mrs Sanderson said while filling up Astrid’s food pot. After she finished she called Astrid and told her to eat her food. While Astrid was eating her food James, Peggy and Mrs Sanderson were sitting together on the chairs. “Me and James have been wondering, if you don’t mind telling us? When did you find Astrid?” Peggy asked. 

“ Well you didn’t know this before but that day you saved Astrid was not the day I saved her.” Mrs Sanderson replied. James was confused so he asked Mrs Sanderson 

“Huh, what do you mean I thought you said Astrid was the last animal you had to save.”

 

 Mrs Sanderson replied, “Let me just tell you the story, I found Astrid only a week after she was born and took care for her ever since then and that was 4 years ago but only a month ago I took Astrid into the front garden where there is a gate so she could run around and play but,” 

“What, what happened next?” Peggy said, intrigued by the story. Mrs Sanderson then said 

“Someone saw her when I went inside to get her food and took her.” 

“Wait, so how is she here now?” James asked, confused. 

“Well,” Mrs Sanders replied “Astrid is so smart that she knew the way back to the forest and when I saw her and tried to get her she was about to be taken again but you saved her.” She said pointing at Peggy. “Woah, I thought you just saved her in the forest, I didn’t know there was a bigger story.” James said fascinated by the story. Mrs Sanderson replied “Yes it truly is amazing but you cannot let anyone else know about this”. 

“Yeah, Mrs Sanderson is right they would take her away from us and might even kill her if someone found out.” Peggy said making sure James knew what was right. 

James replied ”Okay, okay I promise, I don’t want her taken away from us.” 

 

Over the next couple of weeks Astrid created a special bond with Peggy and James but there was not one she liked better, she loved playing just running and jumping around with Peggy. She also loved that James was always there when she wanted to lie down and be stroked. One night before Mrs Sanderson said they have to go to sleep, Astrid wanted to play more and she was really hungry but Mrs Sanderson said it was too late and they all needed to go to sleep. About 10 minutes after they went to bed, Peggy snuck downstairs and placed her pillows to make it seem like she was still sleeping, then she went and got some scraps of meat to give to Astrid. . About 5 minutes later James went and did the same thing and they both ended up playing with Astrid then nearly got caught when they were sneaking back upstairs.

The Frost Giant

The Frost giant!!!!!!

If you came across a Frost Giant, what would you do? Well just in case you do come across one here’s some facts you must know  .In 1978 Frost Giants were the rarest giants in the world but since then they have become much more common. When the apple falls chapter 4

Chapter 4

 

Peggy and James knew they had a chance of brawling with them and winning but if they didn’t win they would need to have a backup plan and know where they would flee to so the twins followed the people holding Astrid, hoping to find out where they live. When they were in the middle of the forest they stopped at an abandoned cottage in the middle of the forest, it was covered in emerald moss that must have been a decade old, dust enveloped the roof’s tiles, the door filled with secrets past, thick grime covered its surface, covering what was behind. Behind this cottage was a clear azure river and at the brink of it was an old water mill, unrevealed items lay inside, but that’s left for another adventure. The Sun was beginning to leave for its night rest as the Moon returned  and now they were aware where Astrid was hiding.  They planned to stay there until dawn, however,  while the kids were sound asleep, it began raining, the rain turned to thunder. This happened through the night but as the Sun returned, it had stopped. They headed home, only the sun’s light led the way. When they got back home the back door was locked, forbidding them to enter, so they went into the apple tree and through the mysterious door that leads to the unilluminated basement. They were both exhausted, so they went straight to bed but Peggy stayed wide awake, her brain asking questions. What if she isn’t safe? What if they left the cottage? There were about a million questions playing through her mind.

 

 She couldn’t deal with all this stress and she was starting to feel sick, so she decided to go downstairs to get a glass of water.

“Hello,” said an unidentified voice from the other room.

“Who-who is it?” she said in a quavering voice.

“It’s just me, Mr Sanderson, why do you sound so worried, child?” whispered Mrs Sanderson hoping not to wake James up.

“I-im sorry im so so sorry! ”Peggy whispered,  feeling too much guilt to handle.

After that, Peggy just informed Mrs Sanderson what happened and Mrs Sanderson was irate but knew Peggy already had a mass amount of guilt so she stayed silent.

 

The next day Mrs Sanderson knew who to go to, they knew it all in the town, Michelle Wazowski. She was one of the few elders in the humble town, but she knew everything about everyone, so Mrs Sanderson thought she must know who the thieves were. Michelle’s house was on the opposite side of the town. It was covered in thick green, emerald grass surrounding it. It was quite a large house with 2 bedrooms and a lavatory, James saw that at the side of it there was a large wooden shed with moss spreading its way across the button. It had a beautiful wooden door with an intricately carved pattern of beautiful flowers on the front of it. Mrs Sanderon was knocking harshly on the front door for quite a while but when James showed Peggy the old shed Peggy noticed that Michelle was inside it. Peggy managed to clamber over the small gate and knocked the shed’s senior door when Michelle finally arrived. She was such an enjoyable person overall, she has had her moments but we all have. She thoughtfully invited everyone inside and they sat on a small park-like bench outside. James has an amazingly good memory so he was able to describe the thieves in full detail. Michelle explained that those people are kids whose parents have passed and know they have to steal to acquire money, they normally steal valuable stuff like watches and earrings, they then sell them for quite a lot of money,  as they are only kids, they are able to fit into small vents and can run as fast as the speed of light so they never get caught. 

 

A couple hours later they were ready, James was holding a bat as he was terribly scared and just wanted to rescue  Astrid and get this over with, Peggy was clutching a knife just in case it was needed and Mrs Sanderson refused to fight with the children, so she was on first aid. She would help heal injuries if needed, she also needed to gain Astrid’s trust and get her to come with them. They decided to set off at sunset. The time arrived faster than lightning, these kids were ready to risk their lives. They began walking, with caution, only a small lamp lit their way. They all had their separate thoughts. Peggy was hoping they wouldn’t be slaughtered on the way. They arrived at the base, it was an old cottage. The cottage walls were full of emerald colored ivory, the roof being conquered by crows perched on top, graves lay beside the walls, the deceased ready to pop out at any moment. All of this was torturing the poor children’s minds. They were becoming more scared by the second. James stepped out to the door first and kicked it open. The thieves were sound asleep as Astrid lay in a cage, sleeping. As James lowered his foot, a bear trap was underneath, he set it off as it clutched onto his foot, sending screams of agony out of him. Immediately the thieves sat up, glaring at the children. This was now a battle of time. Who could get to Astrid first? It was time for a battle.

 

Immediately,  Mrs Sanderson leaped out into the open and charged heading for the cage. Peggy screamed before throwing her knife at one of the thieves in Mrs Sanderson’s way, hitting them in the eye. Blood splattered all over the floor as a scream of pain escaped their lips and they lay in their own blood. James had managed to pry the bear trap off, in a rage, he charged at the second one, hitting them in the stomach and causing them to cough up a mass amount of blood. This was because he had added a little something to his bat, it was spikes, whetted spikes. Astrid was whimpering, fear could be seen in her eyes. Mrs Sanderson eventually reached the frightened little creature and she pried open the cage’s door. Astrid jumped into Mrs Sanderson’s arms and nuzzled into her chest. Mrs Sanderson looked, she had become attached to Astrid. She would protect her at any cost, even her life. Mrs Sanderson’s thoughts were interrupted by a thieve’s lifeless body flying towards her, she managed to duck although she was shocked. Shocked that children were capable of such an evil deed.  “Let’s go- now!” Peggy screamed, hoping to get away from this mess quickly. James grabbed hold of Peggy’s arm and hurled her out. Mrs Sanderson followed, careful not to make James’s mistake and step into anything.

They had done it. They had won. They had retrieved Astrid and she was safe. What should they do now?  “Hm, maybe we should go to the apple tree? Or I could make apple pies!” Peggy stated, all the fear had left her voice and had only become happiness.

“Possibly, maybe we-” Mrs Sanderson began but she was cut off by a small yawn, the small yawn came from Astrid.

“Let’s go and put her in her bed.” James  suggested, a small grin appeared on his face as everyone agreed with him. They all began to head home, little did they know, the thief who’s now half blinded were following them. He wanted revenge…

The Moon Ship

You know it’s time when you can smell the salty sea water so much you can taste it. When you can’t hear the seagulls squawking. When you can’t see the mystical, dolphins swimming.When you can smell the decaying wood, rotting in the air. After a ferocious storm, you can still feel the fierce waves crashing on the side of the boat. The feeling you get when you see the astral stars, shining brighter than the sun itself. When you can see the shooting stars flowing across the sky. After the sunrise begins and the moon excludes a galaxy blue colour.

chapter 3

It seemed like like an evil  snow leopard ! it had horrible dark green eyes, with sharp pointed claws. It had pointed blood on the tip teeth, It is wearing bear skin and panther cover, the thing that really terrified them was when they  saw he was carrying a baby snow leopard by the arm the baby had bite marks in its leg, Gryffin could tell it’s leg wasn’t broken but it was in terrible pain.

It was now morning and they woke up to a strange snarling sound outside. Gryffin looked out of a small whole there at the side of the plane and saw that there was death snarling and the slythers. Gryffin was so scared and whispered ‘’Raven Raven l-l-look it it it-s them’’ 

He hid under a blanket and thought I had to be brave so he went out and stroked Snowy. Raven knew they were gonna get captured so she got the backpack  and hid it with a jumper. She put snow in the biggest part of the bag and left the zip half open. That was when they barged in, grabbed Gryffin, raven and threw them in.

They grab the baby and go back to the plane Gryffin tells Raven to get a blanket and a pillow. When she got it he put it under the baby.

After about an hour the baby’s leg is still not in good enough condition to walk on but it will be in about a week. Raven gets the map out and plans that they will go through Hard Pass forest it is  hard to pass like the name says.

Although they were going to go through Hard Pass Forest it is too late and they are too tired, they went back inside the airplane and lay down they soon realised the airplane belonged to the baby snow leopard because it grabbed a picture out a cabinet and pointed at it say ‘’this me, my mama and dada gone’’ 

Obviously they could tell what it meant, since Gryffin is the sweetest fox ever he was crying on the inside. Raven got out  the special unlimited storage purple backpack the queen gave them. She fed some berries  to the baby. The baby said to them that her name was Snowflake, but Raven called her Snowy and she loved it.
