The Enchanted Emporium-Chapter 2

The Enchanted Emporium

Chapter 2

As soon as he arrived, he left. Hazel’s mind was spinning with questions, who was that mysterious person? Where had he gone? Since Hazel was not allowed to touch the gold entwined book she kept on looking. She found it hard to concentrate with the glowing book in the corner of her eye, she could not take anything in properly. Hazel found herself walking to the other side of the shop to take her mind off it . Despite this, her head still turned around to glimpse at the overpowering book. Just a second had passed,  before her legs were encouraging her to step forwards a little more.

As soon as her fingers bounced onto the cover, a tingle went up her arms and filled her with an embellishing glow. Her face widened. In the corner of her eye, something darted across the walls, she turned around cautiously. Hazel didn’t see anything but what she did see was rows upon rows of doors. Who would need that many doors? It was not time for that though because without warning she found her hand reaching for the feather and dipping it gently into the jade ink.

Within long, Hazel had written the most majestic piece of writing ever! She had written about her most wanted dream but what next? What does she do with it? Out of the blue, a kingfisher positioned itself on Hazel’s shoulder and tweeted: “Come with me.” Without even thinking, she followed the kingfisher as if in a trance.

She stepped into a room through a door where sunlight beamed down through the remaining cracks through the thick forest. Stepping stones were placed in front of her upon a carpet of pine. Immediately, she jumped from one to another. It was a matter of time before she had reached a clearing through the forest. Then, to her amazement, a cottage appeared, with ivy crawling up the side of it and flowers sprouting from the ground joyously. Hazel started running towards it…

what are

What are hot? The summers sun in the desert and fire at Forest School.

What are cold? Snow in the winter and ice cream with silver sprinkles fresh from the freezer.

What are light? A grain of sand on the beach and a soft summer breeze.

What are heavy?A

daring dangerous dinosaur and a red school bus.

What are strong? A gorilla charging at me in the jungle and the strongest metal of all,

Titanium, in a workshop.

What are frail? A fragile but forever friendship and a glimmering glass vase.

Wolfs, Foxes, Volcanoes and Boxes!

Wolfs, Foxes, Volcanoes and Boxes

by Bella

I have never watched a lion dance but I have seen a cat.

I have never jumped  of a diving board into a volcano but I have dived head first into the Lido pall.

I have never caught a large first aid box in the middle of a pall but  I have caught a ball in the Lido pall.

I have never but I have

I have never eaten a cocoa bean in the amazon jungle,

but I have eaten a chocolate bar at a tiny cafe.

I  have never befriended a wild tiger,

but I have befriended a colorful stray cat.

I have never tasted a brussel sprout,

But I have tasted cabbage at my aunt’s house.

I have never been to isle of white on a hovercraft,

But I have been to Arizona on a plane.

I have never seen a black panther hunting its prey,

but I have seen a bunny scurrying around my garden for food.

I have never picked strawberries to make my own milkshake,

but I have bought strawberry ice cream.

I have never seen a sparkling diamond,

but I have seen a glistening ice cube in a cup of water.

Never and Will

Never and Will

I have never seen a roaring dragon knocking over a sweet store but I have seen cheeky monkeys eating sycamore seeds of the top of our car.
I have never stopped a robber from stealing the queens crown but I have saved a frightened mouse from a gang of fearsome cats.
I have never slept in an orphanage but I have been to newbarn with all my friends.
I have never seen a mother and baby kangaroo but I have seen a baby deer being born.
I have never driven a limozine but I have sat in the back of our old Ford Focus while my mother was at the steering wheel.
I have never written a published book but I have scribbled down stories to read to my sister before we turn the light off.
I have never flown on a unicorn but I have whizzed through the air on an aeroplane, watching the wispy white clouds.
I have never patted Rudolph, with Santa and his reindeer but I have ridden a pony at one bright, sunny fair

Go and open the door-By Bella

Go and open the rose door,

Maybe there are flames looming above you,

A field full to the brim of poppies,

Or rubies encrusted around trees.

Go and open the marigold door,

Maybe there is honey oozing out from the seems,

Tangerine peel scattered across the ground,

Or one thousand apricot trees before you.

Go and open the bumblebee door,

Maybe there will be the sun beaming down at you,

Dandelions swaying gently in the breeze,

Or canaries swooping down.

Go and open the olive door,

Maybe there will be parakeets singing peacefully,

Ferns besieging your wildest dreams,

Or mint ice cream cooling you down.

Go and open the cerulean door,

Maybe there will be the navy marching towards you,

Lakes gently lapping onto sure,

Or a wave of sapphires clashing against each other.

Go and open the periwinkle door,

Maybe there will be grapes ripe to pick,

Lovely smelling lavender,

Or Boysenberries sour then ever.

The room of ice!

The ice room

In the room of ice,

Hail blizzards sweep away any thoughts.

Flickers of sun are nothing but a dream,

When everything is like ice cream.

New buds are a sign of spring everywhere,

But our room is practically a nightmare.

When rivers lakes and ponds are frozen,

You have to remember that it was not easily chosen.

It is not good when there is no food on your tongue but remember,

Life still goes on.

For you will be delighted to know,

That there will be no freezing snow,

In SUMMER!

I would like to… Bella B

I would like to…- by Bella. B

I would like to keep the smell of a sandy beach on a hot summer’s day, the feel of a rainbow that you purposely took, the strength of my imagination, and the stripes of a zebra as it leaps across the grassy plains of South Africa.

I would like to push away, death, as it circles like a vulture, the speed of an eagle as it flies across a nation at you, the fierce dragon guarding your memories so you cannot access them, and the glow of a sunset as it spreads across the horizon.

I would like to taste the rush of thrill as you open a new book, the vibrance of a red poppies summer bed, the precious gem that is my soul, and the robin’s sweet chirping voice as it sings from the highest oak tree branch.

I would like to smell, the joy of words as it spills onto a page like water, the smell of a daffodil’s head on a hot summer’s day, the roar of a lion as its voice echoes around its lonely cave, and the sight of The sparkling, golden sand in the Sahara Desert as the rare, Crystal-clear river weaves through it like a glistening, silver ribbon.

I want to touch, a treasured memory that seems so far away, the furthest away star, hidden snugly in the galaxy, a cats meow as it settles down for a good night’s sleep, and a mouse’s desperate squeak as the cat woke up and:

POUNCED!

I want to paint

I want to paint a glimmering green snake like a giant emerald worm,

I want to paint an Ancient Egyptian crumbling to stone like a flaking biscuit,

I want to paint blonde hair shining in the sunlight like a daffodil,

I want to paint a red and green toad like an apple,

I want to paint all the different colours spread in to the rainbow, like food coloring in a cake,

I want to paint a leopard climbing carefully up a tree.
