Acid-Shooter dragon
Acid-Shooter dragons are one of the most common types of dragon. They are in every habitat and hunt in groups. They are also commonly hunted by humans for their colourful scales and their poison.
Appearance and habitat
An Acid-Shooter dragon’s appearance very much depends on its habitat and if it hunts in the day or night time. A thing to be aware of is that females have red spikes on the end of their claws and tails. Males do not have these red marks; the end of their claws and tails are the same colour as their dragon skin.
If these dragons live in a deep forest and mainly hunt in the day, they will have dark brown, dark green and even lighter variations of brown and green skin. If they hunt at night, they will have pitch-black scales. If they live in the Artic and hunt in the day, they will have white and blue scales. If they hunt in the night, they will have dark blue and grey scales. Some other possible colour variations are if they live in the desert, they will have yellow, green with black dots or orange skin. At night these colours simply become a bit darker.
The Acid-Shooter’s wings are like fish fins in appearance but they have more strength than fishes’ simple paper wings. Their feet are like eagle talons with spikes on the end. They contain deadly poison. The Acid-Shooter dragon’s tail has spikes which can shoot poison. It usually looks very angry.
Powers
You may have already realised that this dragon’s special power is its poison. But did you know that it has three different ways of attacking with poison? The first, is a simple stun which renders their opponent unconscious for the dragon’s chosen time. This is most commonly used by baby dragons and lasts for around one to two minutes. Second is the stun that also harms the opponent and this is most commonly used for hunting. When the stun is over, the opponent is still injured. The third is where deadly acid is fired at the opponent which kills it or injures it and this is most commonly used when it is being threatened or attacked.
