Your pebble

I’d like you to imagine a pebble as small as a shiny, blue beetle sitting peacefully like an old leaf on the hard ground.

I’d like you to clutch this old, tiny pebble as carefully as a little robin resting in your hand.

I’d like you to call this pebble, your pebble.

Now please fill in this survey:
Does your pebble wear shoes?
Can your pebble run a race?
Has your pebble been to the fair?
Will your pebble adventure around the world?
Does your pebble like singing?
Is your pebble wearing summer clothes or winter clothes?
Has your pebble got a favourite film?
Does your pebble know how to swim?
Has your pebble driven a car?
Is you pebble one in a million?

Notice the unseen

It doesn’t have to be

The taste of a famous fabulous Cornish pasties.

Or the screeching of a soft snow-white seagull.

Or the slumber stopping call of farmers cows.

It could be

A monumental sycamore tree.

Or a herd of peacocks grazing with their tails in the air.

Or the loud, large church bells ringing noisily.

Just pay attention and don’t miss

The most symmetrical pattern on a beautiful butterfly’s wing

Notice the glean on the greatest green leaf.

Or a raindrop falling slowly down a window like a tear on someone’s face.

Lost objects

On Monday, I noticed a loud, rare woodpecker pecking on a monumental oak tree as big as a giant.

On Tuesday, I found a mottled-brown buzzard’s feather carelessly left behind,resting
calmly on the olive-green grass.

On Wednesday, I walked to Mulfra Quoit and saw the biggest, angriest adder peering curiously at me from a crack in a dark cave.

On Thursday, I touched the smallest, chunkiest mushroom standing proudly with its giant family of other mushrooms.

On Friday, I heard the wild, strong wind dancing and howling in the baby blue sky.

On Saturday, I tasted the tallest ,smelliest wild garlic and it tasted as good as the richest garlic bread.

On Sunday, I dreamed of the prettiest flower calmly blowing in the breeze like a dancer dancing to a song.
