The mix

You are a mushroom bright red but sometimes you can be brown so be prepared

you are a tiger eye as sharp , sneaking though the woods when your pray is apart

you are a giraffe with a long neck but your my favourite pet

you are a ticking clock when people need you , you need to stop

you are a fluffy cloud but sometimes you can be grey even though it can rain on your birthday

you are a flower bright as gold but you can be dead but when you come back you can share beauty to the world

The Mysteries of the Moon Unicorn

The Mysteries of the Moon Unicorn

The moon unicorn, which is a rare species of flying horse, is found near the galaxy and the milky way. Most days of the week unicornoligists come together  near the mountains and national space centre to gather more about these mythical animals. During recent lockdown periods, these unusual flying creatures have become curious and have traveled to the Earth and deeper into the surprises of the milky way. To the pleasure of many people the moon unicorn has now been spotted in the sky and taking advantage of their secret identity and sacred lifestyle. However, there is more to be revealed about these obscure animals.

Appearance

Would you recognise the moon unicorn if you happened to see one ? It has wings like most flying horses but it has Moon-printed wings that are way more powerful than usual unicorns. They also have shiny eyes with strong night-vision power to help it fly through the sky without crashing into asteroids or meteoroids. Another feature is that the moon unicorn has itself a magical glow in the dark horn that helps it navigate through the solar system when it gets lost. Weirdly it has star-white fur that sometimes can look like a shooting star if they fly too close to the Earth. Last but not least the magical moon unicorn has its white ice mane that helps it heat up or cool down when it gets too cold or too hot.

Many people think that the moon unicorn can make special wishes come true but this has yet to be proved. If you think that one is alive in your local area, it is probably best to not reveal the truth. They enjoy playing and flying if you have achieved their trust. Remember though, these are untamed creatures so do not try to control them as they will put up a grudge! Let’s keep these mystical flying horses safe for future generations.

A lepord as it hunts its prey

What is small ?

A puppy dog rolling around on the floor playing with its loving owner, baby penguins as they slowly learn how to belly-slide into the icy, cold water and a pettle as it slowly glides down landing on the cobbled paths of the busy streets.

What is large ?

A stunt plane performing happily for a crowd down below applauding , a pack of friendly dolphins splashing around in the blue mesmerizing ocean and a submarine as it sneakily tracks an aircraft carrier.

What is quiet ?

A spotty leopard as it hunts its prey hiding in the long green grass, a thousand snowflakes as they all slowly fall to the rocky ground of the paths and the grass blowing gently in the wind as children all play happily together.

What is loud ?

Motorbikes as they start their engines ready to start racing around their dirt track,

Dogs barking loudly as people start walking past on the noisy busy streets and a child angrily playing the drums to let out all of their anger.

What is hot ?

The sand when the sun starts beaming down onto it and when you walk on it and it burns, the oven once you have finished cooking food and you accidentally burn yourself and the sun on a hot summer’s day and there are no clouds in the sky to block out the sunlight.

What is cold ?

An ice lolly straight after you take it out of the freezer, a child’s smokey breath in winter and a frozen lake in mid january.

What is heavy ? A weight of worry on your shoulders, my mom’s shopping bag after shopping for a long time and a blue whale’s heart the size of a car.

What is light ?

Soft grains of sand when you walk along the beach without shoes, a feather as it peacefully flies through the sky and a newborn baby as the parents carry it around in a baby carrier.

Wolf howling at the full moon

I’ve never ridden a camel across the desert,

But I have ridden a donkey on a beach with my mom.

I’ve never seen my star sign Picese,

But I have glanced at the northern lights flying back from spain.

I’ve never boogied infront of a crowd,

But I have dodged being forced to dance infront of a crowd for a school disco.

I’ve never eaten a butternut squash,

But I have tasted a freshly grown strawberry in my nan’s garden.

I’ve never touched a lion on its fury back in the wild,

But I have touched Belle on her soft furry back while she is sleeping.

I’ve never seen a wolf howl at a full moon on a hill in the wild,

But I have listened to Buddy bark at people when they walk past the window.

I’ve never raced usane bolt in the 100 metre race at the olympics and won,

But i have raced Liv and Jamie around the running track and won.

I want to paint

I want to paint a raging rhino running rapidly,

an enormous elephant eating enthusiastically,

a cheetah creeping curiously through the tall grass hunting heroically

a keen kangaroo jumping joyfully across the rough rocky ground.

I want to paint the Stourport fair as busy as an airport,

the children screaming as loud as motorbikes starting up,

the rides as colourful as a rainbow.

I want to paint the feel of the soft fur on Buddy’s back,

the sound of Buddy and Belle barking,

the memory of getting my first dog.
