Chapter 2- Crash Landing!

By Elliot

Théoden cautiously stepped out of the flying room and down the ladder, closely followed by Alexander. The sky was grey; Théoden could feel the wind gently brush against his cheek. He looked straight in front of him and there was something incredible. A tall, green, ruined kingdom, which was built into a snowy, large mountain. Suddenly, Alexander fell to the ground, cowering back like a sausage dog in danger, he pointed at the dirty floor in front of his friend. Théoden stared down. He felt horror fill within him. He could even smell them now, tens of thousands of unfortunate skeletons, who must have died in battle. The close friends tried to put it out of their minds so they could focus on escaping and where to stay for the night. Beside the grand kingdom, was a forest of misty, dark trees that looked diseased. Théoden began walking towards the dim light that was untended to. Inside the kingdom, he realised that the light went out. The door suddenly shut. It was pitch black. All of a sudden, they could hear a foot splash in a puddle in the distance. ‘I’m doomed, I’m doomed, someone help,’ thought Alexander, unable to say a word. The deadly darkness frightened them all. Will they survive?

A Great Sky Ship

In the misty town of Adlidale, Théoden and Alexander walked past the enormous, magnificent Skyship, about to walk up the twisting, golden staircase to have the time of their lives. As they arrived at the top, Théoden who was extremely confident about the opportunity, ran right to the bow to look about the town and the sea. However, Alexander was not so confident: he slowly and cautiously joined his brother, who was also enjoying the view for they were about to start a great journey.

A few minutes later, the captain, whose name is Jacob, announced loudly to the passengers that they’re setting off. A red horn blow and the loved ones waved goodbye and gave last minute gifts and lucky charms of all colour and size hoping they will return safely with lots of experience. “Farewell to you all we will miss you we all will,” shouted Théoden wishing them all luck. After a few months Théoden had met most of the people and all was going well nothing could get in their way or so they thought. That night as all the adventures passengers slumbered into their bed something terrible happened when the anchor was lifted on the first day something monstrous caught onto it something deadly. A goblin. It ran up and the green seaweed filled monster noticed the captain. Delicious he thought beginning to grin an evil smile of hunger.

After a few minutes of planning, the goblin ran at a very fast speed but crashed into the glass surrounding the flying quarters. Attention all passengers a goblin is on the we will be locking all your rooms down for your own safety all of you just remain calm this is just temporary you will get out alive the pre-recording announced. After close consideration the captain n decided that they will be making an emergency stop and so they did and unfortunately they knew only one thing and that was that they had never seen it before.
