The Phantom Emporium

Prologue

Some place aren’t meant to seen by the public the phantom emporium is one of those shops. The Phantom Emporium is tucked away in the back streets in Scotland where no one goes and where the slumps live. Now one would ever see the emporium until now.

Even though the lights are always on it is stowed away where nobody can see it’s beauty. The Phantom Emporium has special item you would never find in normal shops. Even though the few people who come by the shop they would never look at the shop. The phantom emporium was over flowing with laughter and joy no one ever looked into the emporium to see what was happening. The secrets of the Phantom emporium would all ways try to entice the odd costumer to see what’s inside but they would never come in. But no one ever entered the door way was dusty from never being opened. The emporium tried every thing to get costumers it wanted someone to come in no one until someone saw the warming lights and took a leap and then Rory knocked. Chapter 1 Rory has always be a smart kid but some times his curiosity can take over and lead to danger. But one dark murky night he was walking in the back streets when he saw something out of the ordinary. He walked up to it and grasped the big handle and wacked the spruce door with the horse shoe like handle. The door swung open into a grand room with chandeliers and a chalk white sofa but the was a desk that was see through. Every where he looked is was packed with weird and wondaful thing like hats that made you taller but then Rory saw glanced at the golden worrier armor and was star struck. He looked at the leather bound books and a ornate snowflake that touch his cheek .He stared up at the ruby book shelf and saw the spartan armor kneeling down to the gods.​He stared up at the ruby book shelf and saw the spartan armor kneeling down to the gods.​He smelled a donuts and pastries that were piled high like a skyscraper. ​he saw cages casting it’s shadow down on the people below. Rory smelled a bond-fire raging in the night sky​ this was an amazing place but the thing that caught Rory’s eye the most was the leather book that read in gold letter the book of wonders this made Rory open the book and start reading to read every page.

“I see you have found my book of wonders,” a voice murmured in the distance Rory suddenly gasped and closed the book he was a old man who has lightning color eyes. A parrot perched on his shoulder the he shook his head disapprovingly

I would take the sight of a fresh sea side.

I would take a sprinkle of the smell of a smoky barbecue.​

I would take the smell of freshly cut fruit formed into the fruit salad

Magical doors
In the room of silent shadows,
darkness consumed all.

In the room of significant sun,

It was like you were in a heat wave ,waiting for the slightest breeze to come over you.

In the room of luxury lakes,
you would stay for hours not wanting to leave.

In the room of dark doors, you could see oak, chestnut and birch doors when ever you open a door, dark secrets are released.

In the room of Earth,

The snow mountain giant is a spices which has become rare over the years. You will only find them on island in the north

Male snow mountain giants are tall and have ice as a beard. Despite there appearance these giants are very kind. Snow mountain giants are very loud. They are also awkward they like to go to cities they are noctule creatures and don’t like the sun. They are lively creatures they tend to go with the flow and they make split seconds decisions.

There’s giants don’t like meat or vegetable so they eat rocks like: boulders; andesite and obsidian these animals also eat midshafts and caves. they are called rockatarians. Amazingly they have a big metabolism.

Chapter 4
The next day, snow blanketed the field like chalk. James saw the snow built up it covered: roads, fields and caves with ice. When the snow touched his skin, it sent a shiver down his spine. It is as if the sky ripped open and let out a overlaunch of snow down on the world. Then he saw Mrs Hill looking out the window and muttering “The snow build up is here. It’s our sins that have come back to haunt us.”

But James could wait no longer, he could wait no longer as Mrs Hill muttered. If he left it any longer, he would be stuck inside singing. Time was getting shorter by the second. He had to help Ruby and that meant finding Skyler.

Outside, James was becoming frozen. It got in everywhere with its cold breath sneaking into every crevice. He almost turned back but he was going to save Ruby. Desperate, James searched the town for help, stumbling across streets and falling over fields. He shouted “Help!” Only the howling wind answered back to him. There was only one person that could help him.

He stopped at Mrs Paragon’s house and asked whether she had seen Skyler. Mrs Hill called her the know-it-all as she knew about everyone’s whereabouts and secrets. She was the keeper of secrets and didn’t like to speak to people that she doesn’t like! But James was at his wits end.

Luckily, the shadow of Mrs Paragon was in the window. She saw me and said
“Don’t come in! You will make my house wet!” stunned at the thought of her precious floors getting wet.

“Sorry Mrs Paragon, but have you see Skyler this afternoon?” James said with a shy voice. Mrs Paragon snickered cruelly, looking James up and down.

Then I remembered when I followed Skyler to the oak tree in our town. That’s were I thought she would be. I was right. She was sat on the branch.
James said ” Have you said anything about the other night.” She gave a sharp reply.
“no I am acutely getting to like her.” then Ruby came from behind the great oak.

Over the years that passed, James kept visiting Ruby and Skyler. They grew closer . He also sent Mrs Hill cards for her birthday. When he visited Ruby he found Skyler speaking to her.

Chapter 3

The summer holidays felt like a eternity. It stretched like a zip wire being puled along a park. Every day James wandered through the shady forest and emerald field’s he knew the like it was his second home. The city had become distant he didn’t miss the crowed city roads that once he called home. Unlike the city, the countryside had green scattered every where there was color every were: scarlet roes, popping primroses and ghost cowslips.

At night, James woke up silently and wandered into the woods (by the tallest hill which stretched for miles) where he would play with Ruby. But sometime they would sit in her cave surrounded by darkness and observe the animals that lived in the forest. They would watch the stars follow the moon every so often Ruby’s ears would jump up.

The one thing that James worried about was someone stumbling across Ruby. In the light hours she would stay in her cave in camouflage areas. She would stay in the darkest depths of river cove sleeping in the thickest places were the shrubs offered safety. In the darker hours she would stumble over to James with a shy face.

It happened though. One night at the end of October James herd a scream covered by a growl. He recognized Ruby’s call he rushed over shoving bushes out of the way until he saw Ruby scared with her readied teeth and getting ready to pounce but then she backed away. He stood shocked when he found ​ Skyler a few feet away, With a pale face “J..J…Ja….”she stammered as she took a step back. Keep still James hissed catching a glare of Ruby. As he advanced he stuck his hand out to Ruby to calm her down. Skyler followed James to Ruby.

The secret had been kept for so long now it is out. Mrs hill and James were talking about moving Ruby “we should move her to a safer place.” To keep he safe from the world.

Ruby glared at James like the moon staring at the people below. Her amber eyes were like a blazing forest fire. They were hollow like a deserted vault safe. Her fierce face like a fighter jet going into battle.

The claws were like a Spartan spear and her fur was thick like the bison truck. ​James could see she was tense and scared he tried to help her but she ran as fast as a hyena on the prowl. Her teeth are like a pirates dagger in rows.

“She likes you,” said Mrs Hill as the giant cat submerged into the bushes. James looked up at the great cat and he couldn’t stop smiling. On their way back the wind rustled as if the trees were cold the moon glare lit the way ahead James felt like they were being watched he thought he saw the fiery eyes of the big cat.

“She will be watching,” Mrs Hill said” I found her a few years back. I found her on the mountains a year or two ago she was a little cub. I found her starved they couldn’t afford to feed her because of the war. I took her in and spent all my time with her. My goodness, she grew fast” James listened hypnotized by the story.

James couldn’t stop thinking about the gorgeous cat .Ruby was creeping in the forest her blazing eyes piecing the dark. When she licked his hand, he hesitated. Her eyes were blazing but it gave him warmth they had bonded.

So every night, he visited Ruby and took everything out to make sure it was clean. James would set up rabbit traps around and she still hunted for her self. She was still scared so when ever he would visit he would lower his voice.

The months of the summer Mrs Hill saw the wild child and the wild cat bond.

“Remember don’t go near the old house, Skyler “, groaned Mrs Hill “and stay away from the end of the garden James,” Mrs. Hill shouted as the wind howled above her voice. In the summer, they would do jobs and help around the house. If James was lucky he could see his friends.

Today was their first day of school, they were so excited to see their friends but nervous because they haven’t had an air raid so they might attack today. Skyler was there to help him to get through it when he sat in the class room filled with children. The chatter spread across the class room until the teacher came in with his cane as soon as he walked in they all sat up straight with terrified eyes.

At home James and Skyler had a bunch of chores before school and after school it included washing the dishes, making food and feeding the animals. They lived in the loft. James and Skyler had two small table cabinets, a bed each and a sheet of cloth and a light. It wasn’t much, but it was enough. “It isn’t like home,” whispered James, hoping no one could hear him.

Whilst James was dozing off, he saw a hole in the pig pen. One of the pigs were missing this was as if the pig observed and learnt a time table. It escaped every night to do something and he was going to find out why.

When James went inside to find Skyler, she was all ready up and he told her what saw and they started searching.

He searched through the fields until sun rise and then they found it.

He saw the pig by the mountain like it was scouting out for German troops when they got to the pig the saw a strange mark that looked like a military’s roundle.
