The skin saver

The skin saver is an unusual form of beetle that has just recently been discovered. Would you even recognise one and is there anything crucial that we need to know about this new creature?

Like most beetles,the majority of the skin saver include 6 hands which enable them to grab different pieces of skin at a very fast rate. However, a minority have been seen with as many as 12 hands and this variety is especially nimble, flying at great altitudes. In the main, they are the size of a large scarab beetle and have a rather similar body. Amazingly, they have the capacity to see in all directions at the same time.

The skin crawler’s body is multi-patterned and covered in different coloured dots that has a rather weird 3-D effect. Weirdly, they can flatten their spotty bodies and this causes their spots to disappear. They can squeeze under your skin and can crawl up your nose! This is concerning because when they crawl into your skin or crawl up your nose they will make their way up to your brain and start eating away at it. They are normally found at night because that’s when you are sleeping. So – beware, if you live in Australia (these bugs are most commonly found there)make sure you get some bug replete or if you see any lumps on your body the size of a rubber make sure you get it checked with a doctor.

Chapter 4 – Teleporting through time.

Without warning, Libertina felt a hard cylinder object in her hand. It was the pen. The pen she had used to write this whole mess with.

“Please! Undo the things that have been done! Bring the book to me so I can rip out the page! Why did I think writing down my father would work! What is the point of life, he can’t even see me! Ugh!”  “Calm down dear,” It was Old Gleb’s voice, “I will bring you back to the emporium, and you can undo the things that have been done. Got it.” “Got it.” said Libertina sarcastically.

Before she knew it she was travelling through time. Her arms and legs were up in the air, she was floating! It felt she weird, she had never felt like that before. The sky was a deep blue, with small and big light specks of colour…Was she in space! 

All of a sudden she saw a bright light and heard a ringing in her ear. The bright light faded away and she saw that she was back in the emporium. Sitting on the chair with the book in front of her and the pen in her hand. The only thing that was different than before she had travelled to that world was the page was empty. Libertina decided to leave the page how it was…Empty…She took one look back at the book and ran out of the shop. She ran and ran all the way home…

Chapter 3 – Is this really happening.

It was her father, was this really happening! Her dad was in front of her. She could see him! As quickly as possible, she ran to give him a big hug, but the problem was…she went right through him…Was she a ghost? Could he see her? “Hello dad,” she shouted “Can you see me!” she began tearing, soon tears were pouring out of her eyes…Her dad who she had longed to see forever, couldn’t see her. She felt sick at the thought that her dad could see her. She was surrounded by trees. It felt like they were caving in on her, she didn’t know that they actually were… Suddenly, a noise came out from the bushes. A monkey-like figure started chasing Libertina. Libertina jumped up, screamed then fled… As she was running, she tripped. The monkey creature came up on top of her and growled…Was she going to get eaten, or was she going to live?

Chapter 3 – Is this really happening.

Chapter 2 – Trouble

“Hi, im Old Gleb,” he said, looking Libertina up and down in uncertainty. “I run this shop. Do you like it?” Libertina was just able to squeeze out the word, “Yes.” “Ok well,” he said unsure what to say. Then it hit him. “Feel free to look around and only touch stuff on sale. Don’t touch the book!”

After Libertine saw Old Gleb had gone, she looked at the stuff on sale then at the book and back again…She knew she shouldn’t do it but she could resist. She walked over to the book and dipped the feather into the scarlet ink and began drawing…

She had always longed to see her father again so she began drawing him and her together. She had also always dreamed of beginning in the Blue Haven Resort, and meeting Celia and Sebastian LeFever(The most famous people in the world), she drew them as well and last but not least she drew a dog. She had ALWAYS wanted one but her mother said no, she dreamed about having a white labrador and naming it Luna…

When she finished drawing, she began flicking through the pages to look at what other drawings Old Gleb had done. Each page contained a new idea more bigger than the other. There were pictures of cities,jungles,forests,deserts,islands and more.The next thing she knew, there was a wolf standing right infront of her. It had the same warm,meaty breath she had encountered at the door way. “It was you that had come to visit me at the door, awww how cute.” “Enough,” said the wolf in a deep,dark voice. “No time to waste, follow me…”

Before she knew it, the wolf had taken her to a freshly painted door. Which had a jungle, identical to the one she drew in the book. “Is this my room?” asked Libertina. “Yes it is.” replied the wolf…Libertina opened the door and stepped inside, she didn’t step into a room she stepped into a jungle. The trees were high above her and the frogs’ croaks echoed for miles and miles…Then she saw it. Her dad. It was actually her dad! Immediately, she ran up to him and gave him a big hug. “Who are you?”…

The mysterious Emporium Prologue.

There are some places where strange things happen, because of these weird things no one ever dared to step foot in that place. The mysterious Emporium was like that…

Even though everyday, the lights shone brighter than the day before, the doors were wide open and the windows were as clear as a diamond. Even though the toys’ faces were like real life childrens, the front desk had a pen floating in mid air and the whispers from inside the building were like the hisses of a snake. No one ever dared to go inside.

It was like the broad, oak doorway was trying to draw you to go inside…But it didn’t work. No one had ever stepped foot inside, that was until Libitina came across the shop. 

Chapter 1 – Libitina’s urge

Libitina had always been a curious little soul, her mother had always said be careful where you venture, for it could lead to something dangerous. One rainy afternoon, Libitina was running through the streets of Paris trying to dodge the raindrops when she noticed something unusual about the Emporium. 

For the first time in forever The Emporium doors were closed.Libitina thought this was very strange since the doors are always open to welcome the people of Paris. Libitina thought about it for a moment should she step inside, or should she run away.She had the urge to step through the broad, oak doors but something had stopped her.Something changed her mind. She felt the presence of someone,something standing right in front of her…The breath of a strange creature…Breathing warm, meaty air…

A man,tall,thin and bony, his head peek round the corner of the doorway. He waved at Libitina. The other hand was covered in blood-red ink and in his other hand was a pen, the same pen that had been floating at the front desk, everyday of every hour…

Take the strength from a strong man holding up one of the heaviest weights and use it to throw away your pressuring thoughts.

Carve a heart out of the finest wood there is and use it as your own.

Glow like foxfire until nothing is in your way.

Radiate until you melt away the ice caps and overpower the sun.

Work until you have become the most successful person in the world.

Walk the Earth until you have ventured over every mountain, lake and sea there is to offer.

Serve until you have been awarded the greatest medal there is

Laugh like there is no tomorrow.
