The legend of Hopkin Two ears

Chapter 2: Scramashank’s Castle contd

“This is all my fault!” Hopkin hit himself, “Hey! Don’t be so hard on yourself it’s not your fault at all.” Hopkin glanced up, then down then to the sides, he spotted a crack in the walls! “psst, Peskin, look.” She looked at the crack and looked through it. “it’s a tunnel! Hopkin we can escape!” “I know, come on let’s go.” They woke Mo up again and crept into the tunnels it was rank in there, eventually they came to an opening and smelt the clean fresh air, “ahhh.” Hopkin sighed h was free again, but not for long. The Gorm weren’t stupid they knew that sooner or later that they would find a way to escape. “They’re gone sir, should we go and look for them?” A Gorm soldier asked “You know what to do and if they do escape, again, I’ll have to grab your head, for my collection.” He smiled broadly and left to his room. Meanwhile Hopkin and his brother and sister where going somewhere they thought would be safe. “Well.” Peskin asked breathlessly, they were all tired from running away from Scramashank’s Castle. “Where to next?” She added once she had gotten her breath back.

“The misty mountains.” He replied, Peskin nodded and they continued walking in silence.  Soon after Hopkin got his journal out and started to write in Rabbitese, so I will translate it for you.

6:30 AM

We were both tired from the walking, ad running away from that place. I do have a plan, but I’m not sure if it will work. Peskin said she was starting to get hungry, so I told her we would eat at 8:00 AM.

7:00 AM

I think Mo is thirsty and hungry as she was making moaning sounds, which she does when she’s hungry. I know she’s thirsty because her mouth is dry and her voice is raspy.

8:00 AM

I’m starting to get hungry myself now I think we should stop and have a snack. I’ll make an update in case something exciting happens.

Hopkin put his journal back in his bag and returned to Peskin, “Still hungry?” he asked politely

“Ravenous.” Peskin replied. They got out some food and ate and soon they were back up and walking, full up too. At noon they got to the misty mountains and set up a little camp at the back of a cave. They decided to get some rest for the journey that lay ahead. Just before he went to bed, Hopkin pulled out his journal and wrote some things down.

12:00 AM

Were all sleepy so we’re going to bed, hopefully we survive the journey to the hidden burrows.

He didn’t write much because he was sleepy and so they all went to sleep. Hopkin woke up first and could hear digging sounds, what that? He asked himself. It was getting closer now and soon he could hear it vividly. He presses his ear up against a wall, but the noise stopped instead behind him was Goztel, a leader of the Gorm, his metallic mask looked as if it was stuck to his face, Hopkin wouldn’t be surprised if it was. His body was encased in metal armour and he had a sword that was also made of metal which was rusted and bloody from all the souls he had slayed. “You’re coming with me.” He said in a deep voice, he grabbed Hopkin by the leg and put him over his shoulder, he then looked at Mo and Peskin, deciding to leave them in their sleep.

“Let me go!” Hopkin screeched in his ear, but it didn’t have an effect on him. He took them to a Gorm hideout which was near Foddlebum Castle. “Stay here!” he said. They did as they were told because they knew he would kill them if they tried to escape. He came back later with a flagon of water and some carrots, “eat.” He commanded. They did as they were told, they were hungry anyway. Then a shout was heard behind them. “Well, well, well.” Goztel said.  “Look who it is” “let them go.” A voice said. “I’ll never let the last rabbits of Shallowood Warren go. They are like,” he thought for a moment, “A jewel,”

He added on, “if, you want them so much why don’t you come and ge” an arrow pierced Goztel’s armour and went through his heart he dropped dead to the floor. Just like that he died. “I’m sorry you had to witness that.” A voice said. It was King Hassabassel.

Chapter Three:

King Hassabassel

King Hassabassel was the king of Roland. He was well known throughout the kingdoms and was king of Roland and Foodle-bum, they were like two kingdoms joined in one. “so, kiddies, how’d you end up here?” he asked, Hopkin proceeded to tell him their story. “ah, the Gorm you say? Well I have killed a few in my time. You know I was friends with Lopkin.” “Podkin One Ear’s, Father?” Hopkin replied with, “Yes, Podkin’s Father, Lopkin, he was a great chap.” Tears formed in his eyes, “But, the Gorm got him,” “Did you know Podkin?” He asked , “Podkin? Oh yes, yes he saved me once, from the Gorm.” More tears formed, so Hopkin decided to stop asking questions that he thought would make him cry, “Well, better get going then shall we?” Hassabassel broke the silence, “Where are we going?” Hopkin asked, “My castle of course!” he said, “Where else to go?” was that a rhetorical question or was he asking me where else could we go? He asked himself, he chose that is was one and just followed Hassabassel to his castle.

Sometime later, they got there. Hassabassel’s Castle was even bigger than Scramashank’s one. Its outer layer was laid with creamy coloured bricks and a golden and red banner hung from the front of the castle. The draw bridge was made from murk wood, a type of wood that couldn’t burn, even if you poured lava all over it. The drawbridge was held up by metal chains, which reminded Hopkin of the Gorm armour and swords. He told himself he would be safe here, away from the Gorm, away from anything that could harm him, Peskin or Mo. Inside the castle it was even greater, a golden chandelier hung from the ceiling and crystals were used as lights inside the dark hallways of the castle. It was grand, no better than grand, exceptional, that’s what it was.

“This is my castle.” Hassabassel said, “Wow,” Hopkin said in awe, “How long did this take you to make?” Hopkin asked, still in awe at the greatness. He woke up from his dream land to Hassabassel speaking, “That’s about how long it took. Hopkin?” he could see that Hopkin had sensed something, “Is something wrong?” and indeed there was Hopkin had realised that Mo and Peskin were missing! “Hassabassel.” He said, “Please, call me Randy.” He said back, “Where’s Peskin and Mo?” he asked, “Who’s Mo and Peskin?” he asked back, “Oh no.” he muttered to himself, a soldier came up to them “Sir, the Gorm are coming, should we attack?” he asked, “Yes and Hopkin take this, its called Starclout, protect it with your life, find Peskin and Mo and go the forgotten burrows okay?” he commanded, “How do you know where I’m going?” he asked, “Doesn’t matter, please just go. The sword is magical and it will aid you in your last bit of your journey.” Hassabassel said, “Okay.” Hopkin left the grand castle, only to see the Gorm in the distance, he turned and ran for the misty mountains. Meanwhile Mo and Peskin had their own problem. Mountain Trolls had found them when they’d been sleeping! Goztel had placed a flare just outside if the cave mouth and it had attracted Mountain Trolls, and they were hungry! Hopkin could see the smoke and he knew that they would’ve been taken by now, he glanced at Starclout and hoped he could do something with the sword.

Chapter 2: Scramashank’s Castle

Chapter 2: Scramashank’s Castle

They got there later that evening, Scramashank’s Castle was the place that the Gorm went to have a rest from work also known as invading warrens. Hopkin tried to escape the grasp of the Gorm’s bloody hand, but it was too strong, Little Mo had just woken up and was screaming, which was loud enough to explode your ear drums, a guard slapped Mo and it just got worse trying to cover their ears the Gorm soldier went up to the door. *Bang, Bang BANG* the grand doors of Scramashank’s Castle opened up, outside it seemed large, but on the inside it was even bigger. A golden throne was in the middle of the room, Hopkin guessed it was Scramashank’s own, probably by the gold they stole from the dwarves. Then the Gorm guards stopped, a door opened and an enormous, towering rabbit came out “are y-you Sc-scra-scramashank?” Hopkin trembled with fear, Scramashank was the leader of the Gorm, he was a dark furred rabbit with skulls hanging from his belt he was the most feared rabbit in the lands, he wore iron which could not be cut even by the most powerful weapons and if you had the guts to fight him, well there was just no point in it. Him and his army were unbeatable, but there was one place the Gorm couldn’t take out. The hidden burrows of Roland and that was because nobody knew where it was apart from the rabbits who lived there and the odd few bards. “That would be me.” Scramashank replied in a deep voice that was very intimidating “well I would be a fool to be scared of you!” Hopkin shouted back “Then a fool you are, guards take them to the cellar and don’t be nice.” He commanded to the Gorm holding the rabbits. Without slight hesitation they took them down to the cellar and locked them up in a cell. “Hey! You can’t do this! I know people, people who can defeat you!” Try as he might Hopkin’s methods didn’t seem to have an effect on Scramashank, he just laughed and turned away.

Prologue

“Where to next?” Asked a Gorm solider. “Let’s go to Shallowood Warren. They’ll never see it coming.” Scramashank replied. The Gorm are the most feared clan in all of Groland and Roland. Nobody wanted anything to do with them, unless of course you were Podkin One ear who unfortunately died of old age, but in this story a new hero arises and this is his legendary adventure.

Chapter 1: Unexpected Visitors

“Good morning mother.” Hopkin said to his mother sleepily as he walked down from his room in Shallowood Warren. “Morning dear.” She replied enthusiastically “Has anything interesting happened recently?” “Not anything that I can think of.” She replied with. Then a knock at the door was heard. “I’ll get it.” Hopkin said quickly “Hopkin!” it was his neighbour, Glopkin “What?” Hopkin wasn’t very fond of Glopkin as he could be extremely annoying sometimes. “Ok, I promise to be quick.” He said back “Better be.” Hopkin mumbled “The Gorm.” Hopkin’s ears shot up. “We got a warning message from The rabbits at Snobbyshores warren, they said that The Gorm are on their way to invade us.” He said. “Funny joke Glop.” “I swear on both my ears I am not joking!” he yelled convincingly. “who is there dear?” Hopkin’s mother asked “um, just the mail rabbit.” He shouted back. “Ok honey, come back so you can have your cabbage and carrots. “I’ll be over at yours in 5.” He whispered to Glopkin. “Ok.” He whispered back. Hopkin went back inside of his warren and Peskin and Baby Mo were at the round, wooden table. Peskin was the second oldest just coming 5 seconds after him the other 125 children that her mother had had when she was pregnant. She had to let them as there were too much to care for, there she only kept 2 kids left, Hopkin and Peskin and then Baby Mo came. Peskin was only 9 years old, but Baby Mo was only 1 years old.

“Hi, Hop.” Peskin said. “Hello, and hello to Mo too.” He replied with “Gurgle, gurgle, abayaya!” Baby Mo exclaimed. “Mum, is it alright if I go over to Glopkin’s?” Hopkin asked. “Ok, honey see you soon.”  “bye” he said leaving his warren. “So Glop where do you think they are right now?” Hopkin asked inquisitively “well I have researched their pattern on their journeys and they’ll be here in a few hours.” Glopkin suddenly burst out laughing. “What’s so funny?” Hopkin asked “The fact that you actually fell for one of my pranks!” And with that Hopkin stormed out of Glopkin’s warren with Glopkin laughing behind him. “Hi, Honey I made some dandelion salad in case you wer-.”  BOOM! A horn was sounded. It was The Gorm’s horn.  Hopkin looked at Baby Mo and Peskin, then at his mother. They were in deep, deep trouble. “Hopkin lead Mo and Peskin to your bedroom and pack, take this map it will guide you to a very safe place where The Gorm won’t even be able to get to, please keep your brother and sister safe and be brave.” Hopkin’s mother told him to do. “I will, I promise on my life.” He lead his brother and his sister to their bedrooms, they packed and left through the escape hatch. They left the warren watching as his mother and all of his friends got captured by the Gorm. He looked at the map his mother had gave him and it was a map of Groland, Gormland and Roland the final destination was The Hidden Burrows of Roland. The first stop was The Wailing Wood which was about 2 days away from reaching it, it would be a long journey and also very tiring too. “Well where to now?” Peskin asked “The Wailing Woods.” Hopkin replied “How long?” Peskin asked “I don’t know.” “when will we get there and will we travel when it’s night?” Hopkin was getting annoyed know “LOOK, I DON’T KNOW WHEN WE WILL GET THERE OR IF WE WILL TRAVEL AT NIGHT!” Hopkin shouted at Peskin and a Gorm captain heard him and shouted to them “OI, GET BACK HERE NOW!” Hopkin, Peskin and Baby Mo ran for their lives the Gorm captain was quiet slow as they were covered in armour so Hopkin and his band of rabbit set of for the wailing woods.

The Magma Unicorn

The Magma Unicorn

Introduction

Many have tried to capture it, but have failed. Have you ever seen one? Would you like to see one for yourself? Well read on because this report will give you all the information required.

About Magma Unicorns

These fascinating creatures known as unicorns are very surprising because they can change their colour to match their surroundings. They can alter their magma orange skin to red with just a thought. Unsurprisingly, they live in volcanoes and lava lakes, but sometimes they make burrows underneath them. They do this to keep their heat in the body. If they don’t have enough heat, they lose all of their orange magma colour and it turns grey then black. If this occurs, they run the risk of dying.

Magma Unicorns Habitat

Magma Unicorns can live in some of the coldest conditions, however not for a long period of time unlike The Ice unicorn. The Magma unicorn lives in most volcanoes as long as they are not extinct. Many believe that its main home is MT. Reventador which is located in Ecuador. However, they have been found to live in lava lakes too.

Magma Unicorns diet

Magma unicorns have a VERY strict diet. They only eat molten rock and drink lava. This is quiet hard because sometimes they can’t find a source of it and most of the time they die in the winter because holes in the ground, which they use to find lava, get covered in snow.

Magma Unicorns behaviour

Magma unicorns’ behaviour is very strange because it can range from being very hostile to a very friendly unicorn. The Magma unicorn has enemies the main one being The Ice unicorn due to it being made of mostly ice and The Magma unicorn is mostly made of lava. The battle between these 2 breeds has been going on for generations, but one specific fight was very interesting at the end of it. The Magma unicorn was about to end The Ice unicorn’s life, but didn’t instead he helped her up and left. This has puzzled unicornoligists for years and nobody has found a real reason why apart from Dr. Droosencake who stated this “I have researched this fight for years and I have come to the conclusion that it was an act of spite.” But this wasn’t the best reason but it’s all we have. Yet.

Outroduction

Remember these are very hostile creatures so do not go after them and if you see one don’t approach it because they are one of the most dangerous unicorns is in the world. I advise you to not go looking for one as many humans have been killed by the magma unicorns, but if you are a professional unicorn tamer and you have the right gear, you might just be able to gain the trust of these fascinating creatures and even have one as a pet, but do remember these are extremely good fighters and will put up a fight. I hope you enjoyed this report and I also hope it helped you to increase your unicorn knowledge. Goodbye!
