6 things found inside a skyships hull

6 things found inside a skyships hull

A labrador, which is always loyal, to keep me company on my journeys.

A pair of binoculars, which have the finest glass, to spot birds in the sky.

A writing kit, made of bamboo, to write home about each expedition.

A shelf, from home, to keep all my toys and teddys to remind me of home.

A guitar, les paul epiphone, to sing at sea on a stormy day.

A sandwich, preferably jam, to munch on when I’m hangry; for emergencies.

Fighting Fire with Fire

You’ve probably been on a skyship when the sea wind is whipping at your face but not too hard to hurt. If not perhaps when the horizon seems a million miles away but still in reach. Those are things sailors tell you to inspire but don’t they ask: have you ever been on a sky ship when a storm violently rocks you to and fro to make you feel like an insignificant piece of dirt. Or has a bolt of lightning struck your ship from the sky.

                                           ***

Joan sprinted across the deck, she was starting to wish she should have kept with sweeping. BAMM!! Another bolt of hite lightning. The ship lurched; They had now lost sense of direction by far, fog swept over the decks devouring everything in its path. Out of the blue, she saw torches and heard voices, she stared, then her instincts kicked in and she was sprinting towards the light.

Just then another bolt of lightning struck the planks in front and Joan nearly fell through. She took a slight detour through the cabins but felt the door at the end was locked. She carefully retraced her steps but met fire. Then she grabbed a plank lit the end and threw it at the door. It instantly burst into flames. Joan seized the opportunity and ran head first screaming.

Next thing she felt the warm daylight on her cheeks; she was safe.

How to care for a pet dragon

How to care for a pet dragon

Do you ever have one of those days where you are bored and are staring at a wall. Well why not purchase your very own dragonlet; I assure you, you will never be bored again. So why now buy one from your local dragon zoo.

Diet

Many dragons like to feast on chicken and berries such as blueberries and strawberries. However do not feed them any kind of chocolate because (like dogs) it will make them very poorly and they may not recover. Although there is another alternative for a treat. Biscuits. Dragons will love any biscuit so why not use biscuits in their training as a prize.

Keeping your dragon fit

Make sure your dragon has enough natural sunlight so don’t keep them enclosed in your house. However, they can live in your house when a few months old, but with time they will get older and not fit. Therefore, it is best to keep them out doors on a lead from a young age. A dragon’s natural habitat will be larger than your garden will ever be, so they need walking once in the morning and once in the evening but that will still not be enough. Luckily these dragons have lived with people for centuries and have become domesticated but you can still take your dragon to dragon exercise gyms where they will be nice and healthy.

Training

Dragons are best to start training from a young age and will be loyal to you for the rest of their life. Now every dragon is unique so you will have to make up a call which only they will respond to. Don’t worry if your call is similar to someone else’s because dragons can hear the difference due to there keen hearing instincts. If you wish to ride your dragon you will need a licence and a loyal dragon however wait till they are big enough to ride.

Riding itself is easy the dragon will let you on its back when you have earned its trust. JUST A WORD OF CAUTION dragons are known to drop you if you annoy them.

leafy pegasus

The leafy pegasus is one of the rarest pegasus. Experts have tried to count these magnificent creature’s but the exact number is unknown, this is because they like to hide in the deepest, darkest woods. They are rarely seen outside their territory but nowadays scientists are getting worried because leafy pegasus’ are being spotted more and more. This is bad because they should stay in the forest where it is safe, but due to deforestation they have been forced out of their natural habitat.

Leafy pegasus’ live in the northern forest of Alaska. They like to build their nests on ground floor and travel in packs this is because it is safer and at least one pegasus can protect the young. They also like to forage around the floor for ferns or berries and occasionally the stray rotten leaf. Additionally, they drink water from the shallow rivers and sometimes climb short trees to get the freshest leaves. Unusually, they are fine around humans which is strange however they are known to bite humans or kick them when they feel threatened or to protect their young.

They are known to hold races for entertainment and the fastest becomes the leader. Other than that, they are very intelligent creatures and are known to use tools such as sticks to scrape mud of their hooves.

Leafy pegasus’ are extremely endangered once they roomed the whole of europe but now they are forced into hiding. And even now they are not safe this is because of deforestation. It is estimated that these creatures have about 75 square kilometres of rooming land before they get shot on sight. Now it might seem a lot but it is not. Leafy pegasus’ need at least 100 square kilometres to roam at the least and it is cruel to keep them contained with limited supplies. Studies show that the bravest pegasi venture out but are killed by humans for their wings. In 2015 the world’s governments agreed to make a sanctuary for the creatures, but sadly the plan did not take place. Please do not harm these creatures and help by donating money to charities who support saving endangered species and help preserve them for future generations.
