Outside, a jagged claw of lightning crackled across the sky and thunder rumbled overhead. Inside, Jack staggered through the derelict building, scrambling desperately for somewhere to hide. Old timbers leaning at crazy angles, rusted crates piled high and discarded metal scattered everywhere. To his horror, he could just see there was no way out. Jack was trapped.
Behind Jack, the armed soldier stood surrounded by light, in the doorway,a sword gleaming in his hand Jack gasped…
…But at that moment, something growled deeper than thunder. Out of the darkness, one pair of brown eyes appeared, and the sharpest, white teeth. Whatever it was, rushed past jack.
It was massive and black. Jack realised that he was standing beside a massive bear. It threw back its head and woofing. In that moment, the soldier had fled. Jack stood shocked to the spot, numb by fear.
The bear turned and knelt down in front of Jack resting its head on the ground. The bear could see that Jack was injured. A gash of red ran across his side. Jack had never been so close to such a huge bear before.

“Have you heard the News” a Reindeer was sighted over Brandon last night. It was a cold and frosty night, with the moon shining on all the ice.It was sparkling.It was just past midnight when the reindeer were spotted..The media and everybody soon heard about this.and the streets were full of people.It was so cold and frosty we all had icicles hanging from us.the stars were twinkling and bright that night.everybody thought it was just a dream but it was for real,.we then all headed back home to get warm in bed.
Dear Mrs Egan, I am so sorry that I have not handed my homework in, as I fell in a big puddle, and everything was soaking wet.I managed to get up as everything was just dripping off me, including my bag with my homework in it. When I finally arrived home and took my wet clothes off and put my pyjamas on and salvaged my homework out of the bag ,I had to put it on the radiator to dry keeping my fingers crossed that I could save it.it was so wet all the pages were stuck together.
