Chapter 2 

 Over the next couple weeks, the skyship sailed over vast seas and scorching deserts. Vigorous winds shook the skyship and acid rain fell through the sky. One morning, the crew that was aboard the ship awoke to see that the winds and acid rain has stopped and there was a medium sized island which was at the bottom of an island trail which was stretching across the sea like a stretched out snake.And at the end was a big island covered with forests, caves, cliffs, beaches and most importantly room to land the skyship. According to Raffertis’ map, it was called the hidden oasis.

Gazing down from the deck, captain wrinkletoes used his binoscope and, a second later, bellowed, “prepare to land” He saw what appeared to be an entangled wreck of a smaller skyship. Cheeburti glared over the deck curious to see what was below them. Has Wrigglesworth landed here? The engines turned silent and the skyship descended, sliding through the dying winds and approaching the land under them. Rafferti then rushed towards them. He left the deck feeling uneasy from the descent even though the skyship settled nicely on the sand.

The rigging stilled; everyone gathered around on the deck to see where they had just landed. Rafferti and Cheeburti  gazed across to the clearing where the wreck of the smaller wreck rested. To one side, a small, still lake covered the coastline which was rich in pearly white seashells. On the other side, there was a forest webbed with exotic animals and plants holding fruits going for miles, hemming them in. Above, grey clouds shattered and the sunlight creeped through lighting up the dark island.

The fruit descended by a rope ladder and began to search the old, waterlogged and fungi infested wreck. Rafferti rushed into an old, abandoned and torn up shelter and yelled “Look!” while holding up a ripped map. Captain Wrinkletoes examined the old map and pointed to faint letters in the bottom right corner. “We’ll set up camp here and look for our old friend cheesy greesybottom sooner rather than later.”

On the Island of Fortune,

I discovered trillions of tricky treasure chests,waiting to be discovered

Searching for a lost Explorer.

Traverse through the howling rainforest,

And tame the threatening tigers,

 Chapter 3

Jo woke up confused and tired and voices started to approach him and the bear.So Jo nudged the bear to wake him up,they then quietly hid behind some hay stacks hoping to not get caught.

They could hear the guards getting closer so they decided to move to a better hiding spot.They went to the back of the barn.Unfortunately,there was a wall of crates piled on top of eachother making Jo and the bear jump out of the window, they hid under the window frame.

Quickly, Jo and the bear had no regrets for moving as the guards were creeping around the barn shooting at the hay stacks.Until, Jo coughed and everything went silent there was no shooting or talking.Jos heart dropped and the footsteps were getting louder and quicker.They had been found.

Jo had adrenaline running through his veins as he sprinted away from the barn to the caffe and stopped to eat a snack.Just as he finished he heard someone talking about a muselium that is ancient and close to them which led Jo to believe that is the gateway.

Jo and the bear walked past the caffe, past the walled garden, past the pond and down the hill.They had finally made it to the muselium and hopefully found the gateway.They hesitantly entered the mausoleum but what they saw made Jo’s jaw drop.

Introduction

Earlier this year, a group of zoologists discovered a new animal and they named it the bird of death.It is a deadly creature and it flys which makes it more scary but it is quite small.The zoologists discovered that the bird of death have a habit of killing animal babies for fun by ripping their eyes out and tearing their throat open then drowning them or eating them alive. Appearance

This creature has a brown or black body but it can be hard to tell because of its fur which normally grows to about 5cm long.You could probably tell that its deadly because of its really long and sharp claws.It also has a pair of fluffy wings which allow it to fly and stay insulated in the winter.Its teeth are really sharp and quite long which means they can kill prey much bigger than them.They normally grow to about 37 and a half inches.

Diet

The bird of death is an omnivore which means it eats both plants and meat but mainly eats meat.This creature feeds on many different foods: cows ,lion cubs, tiger cubs, bear cubs, human babies and human children, deer, scorpions, fish, berries, leaves, dirt and sometimes each other.

Habitat

This unusual creature lives in many different places globally and I’m going to tell you a few now.They live in rainforests, trees, deserts, holes, basements,caves and chimneys.The reason why or how they live in these unusual places is mostly unknown but we do know that they love dark places so be careful when your out alone at night.

Special Features

The bird of death has many special features so I will tell you some.To start it has venom powerful enough to take down 20 fully grown african elephants or 50 adult men.It also has thermal vision which means it can sense heat.The death birds primary weapons are its claws and teeth which are as sharp as an obsidian dagger and the are retractable.Lastly it has wings powerful enough to knock down the general sherman tree.

Introduction

The Indoped is an extraordinary creature and is very unlike other insects.It has only been discovered earlier this year and a group of Zoologists have been studying this creature day and night for the past 10 months and have made some amazing discoveries on this creature such as how deadly it is,its behaviour,where it lives and its diet so if you want to find out about this creature then read the text below.

Appearance

Amazingly,this creature wears armour and it is covered in ancient runes that are aa glowing white colour.This species also has spikes on the bottom of its body and long antennae which alert it if it’s going to get stuck.It also has a stinger on the top of its head.The indopede has a dark red,head and black and white armour.

Special Abilities

The indopede has a lot of special abilities so I am going to tell you a few.To start off,its armour is strong enough to withstand a 50 foot meteor travelling at lightspeed but if you flip the indopede over it has no armour.Its second ability,is that it has a stinger on the top of its head which it can hide and unhide whenever it wants.Thirdly it has venom powerful enough to kill 505 adult african elephants.Lastly,it has legs sticky enough to rip your skin off.

Habitat

The indopede,much like other insects,likes to burrow but unlike most,it lives in the savnnas in africa and i’m here to tell you why.They like it in burrows because it protects them from the heat and they dont have the risk of being flipped over and killed because they have no armour on their belly.But they come out at night because they are nocturnal.

Diet

The indopede is nocturnal which means it only comes out at night and hunts its prey then instead of in the day.Unusually it eats creatures that are almost 2 times the size of itself such as:elephants,lions,cheetahs,coyotes,hyenas and giraffes.It hunts by waiting until its prey is asleep then laches onto its throat and starts ripping it open and then crawling inside to eat out its organs while injecting excruciating venom.

Instantly Bob picked up the book but he immediately heard a strange voice say aggressively “PUT THAT BOOK DOWN” ,so Bob dropped it and looked behind him to see a man with eyes as red as a  ruby staring into his soul menacingly.”Who are you?”asked Bob “I am Mr Johnquaviuos”,said the old man and then he mysteriously disappeared behind the blood red curtains.

Bob waited a few seconds to make sure that Mr Johnquavious was gone and opened the magical Book Of Arachnids and was amazed by the amount of things he can now do.So Bob kept flipping through the pages until something caught his eye “how to make your own room”

Bob didn’t hesitate at all and immediately read that entire page and was excited to make his own room.

Bob started making his room by adding loads of colossal trees and dirt then he added giant bodies of water that would glimmer in the sun as all of the animals drank from it.Then he added plants and herbivores also a sun,then he added carnivores and bugs (including tarantulas and scorpions) lastly he added rain and slugs.

Bob excitedly entered his newly made room and started wandering around he saw many amazing things such as parrots,scorpions,tarantulas,tree frogs,orange slugs,pythons,tigers,jaguars and panthers.It was amazing until Bob felt an extreme pain on his right leg and then collapsed next to a lethal scorpion then heard an evil voice say “i warned you not to touch the book”.h
