Chapter 2: Mountain Trouble!

When Podkin woke up, he heard the noise of rustling. Paz and Podkin looked in horror, but then Echo’s crystal blue eye peered through. For some reason he only had one. “What happened?” They exclaimed. “Goblins. *cough*” He said. “Poked my eye out. Looks good though, right? *wheeze* He said. “Yeah…” Podkin said. “Don’t go to Mountain Abode. They’re there and they aren’t friendly. Don’t trust them.” Echo repeated. “Sure” they said not listening. Podkin was munching a blueberry cake bar and Paz was reading the map.

Okay then, off I go. Hope you are well!” He said as he hopped up on 2 paws and walked away, his leather coat flapping in the wind. “Hey, I think the best place to go is Mountain Abode! It looks really good and friendly!” Paz exclaimed.“I think you’re right Paz.” Said Podkin. They awoke Pook and started to trot off.

Midway, the three found a mysterious crow. It was laying on the cold, damp grass and seemed to have passed out. It slowly opened its eyes, to surprise, they were practically as red as fresh blood! “Kra*grind*caw!” It grumbled. “This is sad and disgusting, but it is a sign of the Sharpwood Hunters. We have to get to the mountains. Stated Podkin. As they ran, a beady black eye watched from the shadows. “Call in the hounds. Three kids in my eyesight, go only for them.” The figure repeated.

When they arrived, every animal was out to greet them. Many friendly goblins lurked around, rummaging for food to give them as gifts. Podkin thought it was a small amount, so he went to the food carriage. “Great! Guys, they’ve got the strawberry and blueberry cake bars!” He exclaimed. They went on to ice cream shops with the lemon drizzle sundae. But as soon as they met the last person, their blue eyes turned red.

“You messed up lil rabbits *burp*.” A wolf and goblin stated. Podkin remembered, Paz and he did one lesson together. Self defence “Paz, remember one lesson? Self defence?” He questioned smugly. “I see where you’re going with this. CHARGE!” She yelled. They ran at a wheelbarrow, throwing cans of fizzy drink, then opening from the impact and blasting the goblins and wolves with eye-stinging pop. They used it as a boost. Podkin shook up 4 cans, 2 in each hand, and they launched forward, down the rocky road. They roared in laughter, when at the bottom of the evil mountain. “Turns out it wasn’t safe!” Said Podkin. “You were wrong!” He said again. “But you agreed!” Said Paz, giggling.

Chapter 1: The Shades of Glimwood Tangle

Under the harsh heat, the three trudged on.

They had been sent away from their beloved home, Calm Crevice, after receiving a message from Echo the Fox to leave the area, since the Sharpwood Hunters were near. He didn’t tell them where to go, but far away. Paz had insisted that they went to Glimwood Tangle to get to its shade. “Ugh! This heat is ripping down my fur!” Exclaimed Podkin. “Well, if you listened to your lessons, you would know how to neutralize it! Maybe you should’ve listened to lesson 153 on Extreme Weather.” Said Paz tiredly. “I miss home.” Murmured Pook sadly.“It’s okay Pook, you are still with us.” Whispered Paz as she gave him a hug.

As soon as the location got into sight, Paz stated “It’s not too far off now.” “How do you know, Paz?” Questioned Podkin. “Because we can now see it.” Paz said, slightly annoyed. “Well, just because it’s in view doesn’t mean it is close! You can’t know it all.” Shouted Podkin. The group fell silent. Quietly, they cherished the quiet whilst walking closer. Midway, Pook started to turn and frown. “What’s the matter, Pook?” The two asked. “I miss, Calm Crevice.” He murmured, tears in his eyes. “It’s ok, we’ll find a better home, a fresh start.” Said Paz, confidently.

When they arrived, Podkin had dropped his bags and exclaimed “Shade! At last!”. They ran away and went further into the deep labyrinth of trees. They had made the decision to shelter in the center. Paz sung Pook to sleep, then the two had agreed to be nice at last. As Podkin drifted to slumber, his mind swirled into all the darkness of night. Finally, resting.

I have never… but I have

I have never jumped down an 400 metre haunted hole,

but I have used equipment to climb down a 200 metre cavern.

I have never swam down to the deep Mariana Trench,

but I have swam down a 100 metre large pool.

I have never met the one Satan and looked him dead in his soulless, dark pit like eyes,

but I have stared at a Bengal Tiger out in Africa.

I have never been sucked into a music themed game,

but I have once won an intense, rap battle.

I have never dug a hole, deep down into the underworld,

but I have dug a giant hole and filled it with water.

I have never shot a minuscule target,

but I have shot a pheasant with a powerful, Pump Shotgun

I want to paint

A perfect Plesiosauroidea, diving and skilfully spiralling in the amazing Antarctic Oceans glimmering water with a shine in its eye to its goal, with no worry in mind, a silver bald eagle maliciously marking its prey, with a maniacal plot in mind, an octopus slithering through halls without an end, knowing its destined to never escape, a piece of cake, alone in a world of its own and a monkey, swinging through a grim gas, burning from the inside out.

I want to paint an excited, tremendous tabby kitten in a care centre, about to have a happy home, a scaly gecko, camouflaging to prepare to be aware of the predator ahead and I want to paint a water dragon, whaling at a blue whale, making more waves in the process.

I want to paint a powerful pigeon, breaking into a valuable house in a police car, a shiny MacBook Pro, taking over its body to restart and come to life, a blobfish, swimming perfectly at the deep Mariana Trench and a hose, spraying uncontrollably before it runs out of clear water.
