THE INCINERATING DRAGON

There are many types of fire dragon: the burning dragon, the temperature dragon and THE INCINERATING DRAGON!!! This is a report about the incinerating dragon.

The incinerating dragon lives in the depths of the volcanic mountains of the Mediterranean islands. Usually, the incinerating dragon is seen after volcano eruptions.

Like most, the incinerating dragon has a wingspan of about 23 metres but has magma rocks on its spine and camouflages with fire and lava with a blackish, orangey, reddish colour. If you were to go within 20 metres of the dragon you would be disintegrated!

The Shed

Skylark waited impatiently until the right time, the witching hour! 5 minutes to go. Then she could be sure her parents would be asleep-for that matter everyone would be asleep. Thunder crashed outside. It wasn’t a convenient night but she knew she had to do this. Skylark tiptoed out of her bedroom, creeped down the stairs and made sure to skip the creepy step. The front door creaked open. She could feel the freezing cold inclosing her in an invisible mist. She stopped but all she could here was her own heartbeat-the coast is clear. She stepped out and in an instant she regretted it. Later Skylark was at the place, the shed…
She waited again. Then she saw it!  A long claw prodded her shoulder! She bolted faster than the speed of light. The vines were stopping her. She got out. It stopped….

The waterfall

Autumn leaves cracking,

Under children’s feet,

The fluorescent sun,

Shimmering and shining through the leaves

The great gushing waterfall,

Rippling like a whirlpool,

Into a vast lagoon,

With clear blue water,

Sparkling in the boiling sun,

The lingering lagoon,

Bubbling like a hot tub,

The squirrel scamper around,

Obtaining nuts for hibernation.
