In the morning, Um heard the demons hissing as they enter the forest. this meant they weren’t too far away from him and Mang. He woke up his friend Mang  and they set off to Lava Lake Tavern where they sold different drinks like apple juice – which was Um’s most favourite drink-. When they got there, they saw many peacock humans playing around different games like hide ‘n’ seek. They saw a singing bard called Venti playing different song with his lyre. The people cheered as he played.

They walked inside and saw a small but big enough room for them to rest in. The owner Diluc let them stay there for free. Um left the Tavern to look at the beautiful view of Lava Lakes. As the music played through Um’s head he relaxed as he closed his eyes.

A hiss from the bushes made Um wake up. He looked around but there was nothing to be seen. He saw a shadow lurking around him as if he was its prey. The shadow was as big like a fire whales one. He thought that it might be one but they don’t hiss. He froze as he felt the creatures warm breath on his cold back. He closed his eyes…

Um and Mang were ready to leave. 

That night, Um got a letter – which was on fire with a red envelope- from a demon bird messenger who squawked somethings before It left. Um rushed to Mang who was sleeping in his leafy bed. He awoken as they start to read in horror. The letter declared that they had to leave or they would be served as food to the king by his servants.  

They thought of a good place to hide. Spring water canyon was the best place they could think of so they packed some food followed by crumbs and equipment. The journey wasn’t easy because they had to go through: Fire Forest, Lava Lakes and Volcano Valley. They stepped out of the door and took one step onto the old rope bridge –which was in-between their home and fire forest- safely crossing it. 

They took one step into the Fire Forest and fire began to grow louder and stronger as they avoided it. Mang called out to Um so they can climb the tree to make shelter. As they did, Mang took out some crumbs so him and Um can share. Soon Mang fell asleep curling up into a spiky ball. Um couldn’t sleep so well but fell asleep with one question in his head. Will they get to Spring Water Canyon?  

The guardian unicorn is the most mythical  unicorn from all. Only 10% of people can have them in their room for safety reasons. They have many magical powers, including invisibility, that help them survive during the years. Unicorn hunters ,who would do anything to capture this unicorn, would use their powers to try and capture more unicorns thanks to their invisibility. These creatures hide in bushes in the parks and in trees. Mostly they eat apple ; healthy stuff but when they see a cake untouched they might eat some of it or if you have some gems they will eat it.

These creatures have long, silky mane full of wonderful dreams. on the other hand, their tails hide terrible dreams. their emerald green eyes hide mysteries of the future. The diamond blue horn shining in the darkness. Their fluffy  crystal white fur lets anyone sleep on it and be covered by its soft gold rimmed wings. behaving like and older sister or brother is what they do to protect. The fly at the speed of lighting if the human they chose is in huge danger. They sometimes like to rummage around your room for careless belonging to make a nest in a bush in a park close to you.

What are cold? a feeling of a soft snowflake landing on the tip of my nose, an ice lolly fresh out of the caves of the freezer. What are hot? the atmosphere around the vicious volcano after its enormous eruption, hot chocolate sitting on the crystal clean table in the middle of a winter day.

What are lost? a memory fading into the darkness of the damp room, a holiday that you enjoyed with your family  that has a thought with it that you won’t go there again. What are hopeful? a hopeful memory of getting a pet for your birthday, the hope to meet new friends in your brand new scary school.

What are broken? your heart after someone carelessly destroys something you really likes, a mug as it breaks onto the cold kitchen floor. What are loud? a lonely stray dog howling in the middle of the calm night, a concert full of music and people cheering as the song plays.

I have never ridden a dragon with silky scales,

but I have ridden a horse named Charlie.

I have never walked on flaming lava,

but I walked on hot sand.

I have never carried a blue whale,

but I have carried my heavy cat Sebastian.

I have never ate £100 ice-cream,

but I have ate normal ice-cream.

I have never swam in the Atlantic Ocean,

but I have swam in the sea at a beach.

I have never played Fortnite,

but I have played Genshin Impact.

I have never adopted a stray dog,

but I have dreamed about adopting one.

I have never stolen from a money,

but I have stolen a pencil.

I have never stroke a lions neck,

but I have stroke my cats neck at home.
