The next day, Milo returned to the Emporium. Even though the sign said closed, he went inside anyway. “What the heck are you doing back in here?” yelled the shopkeeper.
“Sorry sir I didn’t see that you were closed still,” said Milo.” I think you might make a lot more money if you decided to open your shop for once.”
“My working hours are none of your business little kid,” responded the shopkeeper.
“Please can I stay just for ten minutes?” asked Milo.
“Ok ten minutes, nothing more.” said the shopkeeper getting very annoyed and impatient now.
“Thank you so much,” said Milo. “You won’t regret this.”
“I already am,” responded the angry owner. “Whatever you do. DO NOT TOUCH THE BOOK!”
The owner disappeared behind a curtain, his coat tails swishing behind him. Milo was all alone in the Emporium, and the only thing he wanted to do was touch the book of wonder. So, he darted over to the book and opened it. He saw hundreds of diagrams and drawings and words he didn’t understand. After that, a pen appeared in his hand, and Milo started drawing a beautiful beach with friendly people and the thing he wanted most. Some friends. Then a beautiful golden retriever came up to him licked him and said, “Hello woof, my name is Dog, follow me woof.”
“Woof woof, woof woof,” responded Milo.
“I speak English you know woof,” said Dog. “That was highly woof offensive.”
“Oh sorry,” apologised Milo. “Where do you want to take me?”
“To a place woof,” said Dog. “Follow me.”
Dog took Milo down a corridor and the turned right and saw a door. “Open it woof,” said Dog.
Milo turned the handle and opened the door. Right there before him was the beach and all the people that he had drawn. “WOW,” gasped Milo in amazement. “This is everything that I drew.”
