chapter 2 – The Island?

After many months of traveling through storms and the poring rain, they reached what at looked like st.droogans island, only it was in the wrong place.

“The map must of been wrong…” said captain skywalker, who was confused. They decided to land on a smooth piece of land around the middle of the island.

 

They walked for a few hours through the high spruce trees and came across a mountain, but is was green and… scaly? In the end, they decided to set up camp by an old abandoned shack and lighted a small campfire.

They started to feel vibrations more than ever, this wasn’t an earthquake.

Tom asked Emily, “Em can you feel that?”

“Feel what?” She answered

“Those vibrations!”

” oohh!!!!!!” Emily whispered ” Where I live we have small earthquakes so often, you barely notice them after a while.”

“This isn’t a earthquake!!!” Shouted Captain Skywalker

“G-Get on S-Skyship n-now!!!” Stuttered Saddy

“Great idea Saddy.” Said Tom, “GUYS GET ON THE SKYSHP NOW!!!!” They leaped onto the Skyship JUST in time as the ‘island’ rose up from the sea.

“Its a…. ginormous sea turtle?!” Said Emily confused

“I knew is wasn’t the island!!!” Said Captain Skywalker “ARRRHHH!!!” The turtle had grabbed them!!!! The Captain peeked over the edge but the ship moved and she fell in the sea.

“NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!” Screamed the Captain as she fell

“MUMMY!!!” Yelled Saddy as she leaped into the sea after her Mum.

“Saddy NOOO!!” Screamed Emily as she almost leaped in after Saddy and the Captain, but she had the sense not to jump.

Then the turtle let go…….

 

The cat and his prey

Rain-soaked, the cat stalks his prey.

It’s bright yellow eyes follow the bird around the room like searchlights.

The claws, sharp like knifes spring out of his paws.

His wiery whiskers wiggle about,

as he gets ready to pounce.

It jumps onto his prey and enjoys his meal with pride in his eyes,

MEIOW he cries.

CHAPTER4

THE FULL BLACK MAN

Ginger ran like the wind but then he came across the Blue lake.  Ginger was losing it but then finally Ginger lost it. He jumped on the man! The man shouted “GET OFF OF ME YOU CAT!” Ginger was shocked but finally spoke “You can talk?” said Ginger but the man did not speak again.

Ginger saw a smile on the man’s face and Ginger knew that he was goanna die if he ran away.  Just as Ginger was away to get killed a bunch of cats appeared. It was Gingers family!

Ginger said “How did you know where I was?”

“I don’t matter.” said his sister. All of the cats attacked, and the man ran away.  Ginger and the cats never saw him again.

 

 

 

The Mask of Meanings

The Masks of Meanings

I put on the mask of flames and saw

The dying embers of a gentle fire,

Smoke erupting in the sky

And the fireplace on a cold Winter’s evening.

 

I put on the mask of nature and saw

Vines spinning around trees like ballerinas,

Tomatoes tearing up as they are about to be devoured

And rotten watermelons watching their friends be taken while they are abandoned.

 

I put on the mask of sorrow and saw

Tears as police show up at people’s door

Lonely evenings

And the thought of death.

 

I put on the mask of water and saw

The ocean on a warm Summer’s day,

Athletes panting after a race

And armbands waiting patiently at the side of the swimming pool.

Email from Mouse

One day, I received an e-mail from a Mouse! I know crazy! You won’t believe what it was about, it was about the quality of food on offer in my house. I did not even know mice could write e-mails! When I read it I did not know what to say.  I hurried to tell my sister, she did not believe me any ways and I don’t know why I bothered to tell her. I was still in big shock. I didn’t know if I should tell my parents after what happened with my sister, so I didn’t bother and so I did not tell anyone else.

I wore the colour mask

I wore the blue mask and saw

The rough sea crashing at the shore,

The clear sky shining on a sunny day

And the small bluebells sat longingly in a lonely field.

I wore the red masks and saw

Flames roaring in the night sky,

The red velvet carpet crumpling as people walked on it

And shimmering rubies in a dark cave

I wore the green mask and saw

The uncut grass from my neighbours garden,

The beautiful emerald shining

And a cool taste of mint

I wore the orange mask and saw

The sunset of a lovely summer’s day,

Children happily sat around a campfire

And marigold petals scattered around

Letter to the tooth fairy.

Dear tooth fairy,

I am writing to you because I was wondering why you only give 1 or 2 pounds. I  thought you could give 3, 4, 5 pounds so people can get a new toothbrush, new toothpaste  or something else for your teeth so why do you give 1 or 2 pounds? Why it doesn’t really make sense at the minute it will all make sense when you hopefully write a letter back to me please can you write back please I’m begging you,I really need to know please.

So will you please? I am begging you. I will even give you food and a drink but that is only if you do. I am begging you.

The Summer Unicorn

The Summer Unicorn is really popular with young children because they grant wishes. But if you try and wish for to much the unicorn will explode in your face. These unicorns love summer weather and will do anything for ice-cream.

Generally this type of unicorn is found in Africa. But only in the colder months, Winter, Autumn and Spring, because they move to America in the Summer. They set up camps in forests because of the shade and there’s less humans. They normally move about in groups of four ladies and two men. When young are ten months old they leave to create more groups. It is believed that many of the young die because they were left behind by the rest of there group.

The Summer Unicorn knows how to adapt to its surroundings. If its hot their fur changes to a light colour, normally candyfloss pink or white, but if its cooler they change a dark colour, normally black or indigo, so they’re a lot like a chameleon. The Summer Unicorn can bond with humans. When they bond their hair, hooves and tail change colours. If they bond with a child it’s the child’s favourite colour, but if it’s a adult it changes to black, grey or white. The only adult which has bonded with this type of unicorn  is Joe Joe the famous unicorn scientist, his unicorn’s mane, hooves and tail turned white, the rarest colour. The unicorn also grows when bonded.

The Summer Unicorn enjoys eating sand and other sea foods such as cod, sea weed and some types of shells. They drink salt water and collecting shells. We can all agree this creature is wonderful and we should keep it safe for the future.
