Season’s

You’ve probably been to Season’s hotel. In summer .you probably go down to the beach and collected shells and went rock-pooling with your family under a vast sunset, camping or going in a caravan or even at Season’s.Thats the kind of place in summer…

But in winter, you stay inside sat near the fireplace, drinking hot coco. When your mum comes and tops it off with a candy cane and marshmallows floating on top making shapes. Now thats a good reason why.

What am I?

                                     WHAT AM I?

I hop,I am a pogo stick,

I am orange like sunsets,

Yet as black as night-like ebony,

I am a fly-catcher with my extended net,

I am a leaf-hopper, a lily pad-leaper,

I am a poison-shooter waiting for my prey,

I am a noise-maker, hear me in the night…

Have you guessed yet?

I am a Bumblebee Dart Frog!!!

Chapter One – Leaving the Burrow

Chapter 1 – Leaving the Burrow

“Bob come on.”

The sunlight burrow had received a message that the Andiles were coming, they knew that they must leave immediately. The Andiles controlled Lupine Forest and Island. Their father was the chiefdon and their mother had a fateful encounter with the witches, that lived near Mushroom Village, and was never to be seen again.

Hurriedly, they were handed a map with some instructions, supplies, Flame the robin and were bundled out into the night sky. They figured it would be safest to go and spend the night in Deadwood because Bricksey thought that tonight seemed like a night that they could trust, a night that would help them. They would have to cross the rickety, unstable rope bridge above the rough, choppy waters of the black river.

They set off at a slow pace as Bob wanted to take more snacks although their auntie had already packed them loads. They trekked up stream and after a while the rope bridge. Bricksey as the oldest went first. Once she had dragged Bob and Barney across they found a spruce tree that they could make a camp with. Barney, who was the most energetic, dug through the snow and under the tree so they would be safe from prying eyes. He also got the blankets out. The floor looked like an exploded duvet. Much to Bob’s delight Bricksey prepared a meal of; oat cakes, tinned tomato soup and half a loaf of bread. Meanwhile Barney was thinking “ Will we find safety? What does the map tell us? Can we survive?…” but his thoughts were drowned out as his eyes gently shut and he fell into a deep sleep.

How to train your hippogriff

How to train your Hippogriff

Ever wanted to own a hippogriff?

Hippogriffs, which are easily angered, are wonderful creatures. If you have handled other mythical creatures it won’t help you as hippogriffs are totally unique. If you have other animals in your possession your hippogriff won’t like it, however the hippogriff is a cousin of the unicorn and they get on quite well. When you first meet your hippogriff make sure to bow to it so it will respect you.

What you will need:

A big garden, a soft comfy bed, a large supply of raw meat, they like otters and rats, water, and a place to explore.

First, create a soft bed, hippogriffs like to sleep on the floor. Also they like to lie in the sun after meal times so find a flat sloping rock that your pet can curl up on to relax.

Second, provide a large outdoor space next to your house because hippogriffs need a space alone when they can do their own thing but also where you can watch them. At night, if they are feeling restless they may go into the garden and make a honking noise. Don’t worry this is completely normal for a young hippogriff.

Now, make some time to play with your hippogriff and make a bond between the two of you. Hippogriffs like fetch and hide and seek.

After that, you must take your hippogriff on walks, maybe even try flying together, although try not to pull their feathers out. When your going for walks go exactly 1.7 miles or they will be to tired or too energetic.

Later on, take your hippogriffs on holidays, this results in your hippogriff in your hippogriff trusting you more. But don’t take them abroad because they may get scared.

Next, you can let other people meet your hippogriff but cats, dogs and young children may scare your pet if they make loud noises. If your hippogriff rubs their face against something it means they are annoyed.

Finally, you can let your hippogriff wander out themselves but make sure you don’t stray.

One day, your hippogriff will go into the wild but it will return if you have been kind to it.

Ferocious Troll Spotted

Ferocious Goblins Spotted
By Pippa Penn

Yesterday, Molly Preston, age 9, was sitting on a deckchair when she spotted a strange creature. It had grey wrinkled skin, dark, piercing red eyes and a long Pinocchio like nose with grey tufts of hair sprouting out each nostril. As she lives in a pecorous stretch of land in Ringstead, Norfolk it’s unusual to see anything exciting. She told BBC news that she was very alarmed to see a goblin in her back garden.

Later that day, the goblins appeared once more. As it was a sunny day, Molly had been keen to spend as much of her time outdoors as possible. This time the curious creatures conceded to bite her ankles, which was especially painful as goblins have two rows of dagger sharp teeth.

We interviewed Mrs Preston (Molly’s mum) who said “ My daughter was quite alarmed by this and I would like to inform you that if this happens again I will speak to the DDC (the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures) about it.” Molly on the other hand, who had got over the shock of being the first person to spot a goblin in three hundred and fifty six years, was quite excited by seeing one. Excerpt Dr Scott told us that “As goblins are rare we must be careful not to hurt them.” The local police warn everyone that if they should come across a goblin make sure to report it in some way.

Storm Unicorn

Introduction

Have you ever seen a storm unicorn? If you have it is a spectacular sight. The last reported sighting was 1856 by Francis Fornetto, he claimed that it was grey and had a lightning shaped horn. This is actually false information. The storm unicorn can actually camouflage and its fur can change colour and so it’s often mistaken for grass and water pegasi which are the most common types to see. Storm unicorns can also change the weather with their horns and see in the dark. Storm unicorns have leathery wings, a grey coat and sharp hooves. Generally, storm unicorns are shy but the others can be vicious.
