Discovering the magical door by Rebecca

Lisa noticed a magical door standing up-right: there were nails on the wood which gave a sign that it had been broken before; there was a peep hole up near the top, however it was sellotaped up; the handle was hanging on for it’s life with only 2 instead of 3 screws. The door was whinning at her, calling for her to open it, so she took a step towards to have a look, hearing a voice.

”H-h-hello?” anxiously stated Lisa, as a slow breath came out from Lisa’s mouth. She took one step towards a figure then stepped back again nervously; she hoped that she hadn’t woke anyone up. Lisa gasped in shock as an old man stepped out. Sat on his shoulder lent a blue striped bird that nodded at the man.

”May I help you?” the old man asked, glancing at her disgustedly, until she moved over, carefully. “This is my shop. You like it?” Lisa didn’t know what to say so she just looked down. “This is my magical door of adventures. You can have a look at it!” He walked off thinking if she would listen, but then realised: no one ever listened.

The book of lightning – Rebecca E

Go and open the window of magic.
Maybe you’ll see your future floating around you,
your past crowding around you,
or your present smiling at you.

Go and open the cage of fog.
Maybe you’ll feel the world turning in on you,
your body getting lost in a worldwind,
or your face frowning as it cuddles up to you.

Go and open the jar of fire.
Maybe you’ll feel yourself getting burned,
your body sinking into orange, smelly flames,
or the fire spitting on you.

Go and open the drawer of animals.
Maybe you’ll touch a frogs toady skin,
a German Shepard jumping on your legs,
or a hamster biting your finger.

Go and open the fridge of tears.
Maybe you’ll see a little kid crying,
a puddle of wetness floating around,
or a bottle of coldness leaning on the shelf.

Go and open the wardrobe of beaches.
Maybe you’ll see a towel waiting to be lay on,
the sea waving at you,
or a sandcastle stood upright.

Go and open the present of sun.
Maybe you’ll hear the sun laughing,
the clouds clashing into each other,
or the sunset saying goodbye to you.

Go and open the book of lightning.
Maybe you’ll hear the lightning flashing,
the night turning into greyness,
or the lightning saying hello.

The house of rooms – Rebecca E

I stood in the room of art, looking at the paintings on the wall.

I stood in the room of darkness, wandering around the dark blue sky.

I stood in the room of sad ghosts, staring at their depressed faces.

I stood in the room of science, watching the volcano explode.

I stood in the room of floating pets, mysteriously wondering why they were up there.

I stood in the room of winter, watching the snow run down my face.

I stood in the room of February, looking at all the love hearts.

I stood in the room of maths, counting up all the fractions on the wall.

I stood in the room of emotions, looking at the signs to smile or frown.
