Meals of People

On the rusty table, someone had set out a five-person family feast with thick slices of juicy, poisoned turkeys, huge bowls of red fingers, glass jars of fresh, slimy flesh and black plates of black hearts. Hundreds of homeless people were serving their organs and their hands like long thick noodles and tall glasses of creamy blood. They were dressed in strange, dark clothes with bloody cloaks, orange shoes and very dark red caps. Poppy tried to talk to the homeless people but they kept silent…

rather like an calm snake.

dear superhero letter

I  am writing to you the pollution stopper. to give up your superhero life and stop saving people with plants, your step dad takes all the credit and you get none. I would also like to add your failing all your classes and your mum is getting really mad at you! You’ve also been failing French and the thing is you’re your gran and papa are French.

I would like point out your attendance rate for the past year it’s not good. On the other hand, many people argue that your powers are useless. People say they can use your powers better than yourself.

Some people claim that You are trying to help but no one feels safe around you, they all call you a vigilante or a criminal in disguise.

Although some people believe… we suggest however that  you can’t even catch a bad guy with vines your accuracy is terrible. Alternatively, people say your better than the heroes from the comics/movies or that you could be happy and live a normal life.

This is not correct because most people know about your powers even your school bullies and teachers.

The main reason for this is you can be normal and not get bullied by the public and media.

Yours truly sergeant miller.

Polly by Ryan @ Belmont

Long, long ago there was a poor girl called Polly who lived next to the beach. She had a strange, little cottage with a rusty bike but she was happy.Early one morning, Polly went for a walk to collect shells. She collected flat shells, curved shells and thin shells. Suddenly, Polly found the most beautiful shell she had ever seen, lying next to a rock pool!Slowly, Polly bent down to pick up the shell, which was glistening in the sun. To her amazement, the shell spoke. “I will grant you two wishes so choose wisely!Said the magnificent shell.

Chapter 2

Outside a bright lamp of light of sun and clouds light inside. Jordan quietly tiptoed his way through the abandoned factory, searching for a place to hide. Rusty machines sparking electricity like when a fire work explodes , the insides of cables still plugged in, some shards of metal on the ground with glass. To his surprise, he found out he was stuck.

Beside him, the creepy wrinkly old man stood at the door way, A pocket knife in his sweaty palm. Jordan gasped…

…but at that  minute, something rushed towards the light of the doorway, faster than a bullet. Out of the dark, not a single one  but multiple pairs of bright brown eyes appeared, a light of shiny silverish white teeth.

It was gargantuan. Gargantuan it was patterned like a giraffe but as small as a tiger. Jordan realised what he was looking at, a cheetah. It roared . In that moment, the old man had fled the building. Jordan stood paralysed in fear.

The cheetah turned It’s head and laid down as Jordan watched. Licking it’s paws. He could see that he was wounded. A big fresh red cut ran across it’s body. He hadn’t ever seen a cheetah in person. He could smell a stinky, rubbish like scent and watched his pelt of patterned fur ripple across his side.

They looked at each other and Jordan thought he sizing him up, looking deep into his soul. But, his fear went away and he held out his hand. He leaned and took a little sniff at his hand. The he licked his hand with his rough tongue, his eyes opened wider as if it was surprised. He could see kindness but also an ocean of depression.

It was then that he spoke. A deep voice that seemed it was as quiet as the sea at 12:00 at night. It was voice that a  kid would pretend to have to sound intimidating. “I need help right now,”  he slowly said. “we must find the portal.”

Jordan stared back, as if he understood. He realised in that moment that he would do anything to help the creature. Anything ” they will come back,” said the cheetah, “I need to hide.”

2 hours later, Jordan and the cheetah had sneaked through the streets, down to the old warehouse by the abandoned camp sight. No one ever dared to venture there. Rumour had it that the spirits of campers haunted the building but the last summer Jordan made an entry. He often sat there watching the lake and he would fish there. The cheetah laid down in a dark corner. Jordan guarded.

Chapter 1

It was a sunny summer evening in July. It heated up the beach and the ocean. A few spots had stayed dark, killing the light mood for anyone who got in the area.

Jordan Walsh ignored the darkness and focused on the light. He was looking at the checkpoint. He unzipped his hoodie and started to cool down before walking away from Church Street.

He could see a worker smoking checking passes, shoving most people away from the gate between the town and the rest of Troon, where all the shops stood.

“Hurry up boy! My shift is nearly over!” roared the worker in a deep voice, blowing smoke into Jordans face. He held out an ashy hand and Jordan passed the ID and showed the package in his backpack. “Where are you heading, son?” He asked as he stared in Jordans nervous eyes.

“I’m taking some letters to some parents for the school” Jordan replied, smiling as hard as he could. The worker puffed and nodded his head.

A minute later, Jordan was walking through the lower town. Here the streets where thinner, street lights shined as people ran along the like there was no turning back. How Jordan wishes he done that when he was there age.

Taking a shortcut down Bentick drive, Jordan put his hood up afraid to catch anyone’s sight. “Hood up, be polite” his mums voice echoed in his mind.

He turned down a corner and some random guy started staring at him, rapidly approached him and pushed him into the shadows.

The man steels his wallet as he said “what’s in here” he slowly opened it “come on! Fine, your package there As well.” He said, Jordan Punched the man in the face and ran away he turned a corner into a brick wall it was a dead end!

The man’s shadow got bigger and bigger as he got closer and closer. It seemed like he had nowhere to go. The he noticed an open door behind a few bin bags, A minute later he had no time to lose, He dived in the building.

Inside,Outside

Outside the cave, everyone saw abysmal lightning beginning to close in. Inside the blazing dragon started scanning for enemies.

Above the ash of gold, was a mysterious purple book. Below it, was a basement full of children staring and there was silence.

Outside in New York City, we’re strange people staring up in the sky at nothing. Inside, stood different kind of dragons with scars upon their faces.

In front of me, stood elegant mansions with curious decor. Behind me, there was an ancient cave full with creatures.

Outside, the sun breeze filled the air with joy. Inside, a group of elegant rainbows shone up in the sky with a beam of light.

As soon as jolly-faced Mr Hardy joyfully and happily sprinted into class Seven , the familiar room turned into a happy room. He was thin with a joyful smile like happy Santa , settle down children said the favourited teacher. “I think we’re going to have a fun lesson.” Said Mr Hardy
