CHAPTER 1- Finding the Emporium!

As Lara was walking down Alvin Rose Lane on a beautiful summer’s day with her mum and little sister, Layla. She felt something unusual tickling her toes, so she stopped to check that nothing was in her shiny shoes as she bent over, she felt whatever it was travel slowly up her back it was going super-fast! Without knowing she began running round and round in circles until she suddenly crashed into this huge wooden door on a crimson brick wall (that look like it had just been put down) with the number… XII it must have been some sort of roman shop she briefly learnt about roman numerals it was not her strong point she was very confused. She walked on still in confusion… but all of a sudden, she realised her mum and sister had disappeared. She panicked… she developed a headache but something else made her feel in danger. She heard bangs and a huge clash coming from the door. Maybe it’s a sign that she should enter… or is it not?

Suddenly, Lara felt pins and needles dashing up her legs, her palms began to sweat her body went tense. But, knowing Lara she would take any risks just for the fun and enjoyment, but this door did look sketchy. It was down an eerie and narrow alleyway. However, Lara was feeling like getting herself into a bit of bother. But little did she know how much bother she may get herself into. On the door it says, “enter at your own risk.” You would think that would scary you away or at least draw your attention to something or someone else. However, that was not the case when you were with Lara. So, she slowly entered the scary building… what was happening!

As she entered, she tip-toed but she couldn’t see a thing considering she was blinded by the light of what she thought was a thousand sets of golden armour surrounding her, silver bird cages hanging from the high-ceiling, red velvet chairs with golden legs and arms and some beautifully wrapped chocolates sitting on a desk with what looks like a moustache on it. Anyways, she opened her eyes.

s she did struggle to see but she managed she was shocked with the amount of real silver and gold that lurks around in such a hidden and scary emporium. All of a sudden, an old man in a grey suit with some sort of book in his hand entered the room. Lara jumped in fear, she was frightened she thought she was the only person in here… she guessed not. Suddenly, the man cried out “Welcome!” he seemed very enthusiastic, but Lara wondered why he was here and who she was? As Lara went to touch the golden armour he screamed “don’t touch!” within a second. Who was this man… and why was he here?

However, Lara didn’t reply she was scared. Especially when a huge, fluffy black cat leaped onto the old man’s shoulder. Why was there a cat in an emporium? She didn’t want to get herself into any more trouble than she already is. Well, that’s if her mum figures out which she hopes doesn’t happen! She was shaking, her mum and sister have magically disappeared, and second, she is stuck in a secret Emporium with someone she doesn’t even know! How did she end up here… she had regrets about ever walking into this scary and creepy place.  She thought to herself “why would you be so stupid Lara.” What if her mum and sister are in here and she just doesn’t know… Lara gulped she felt a lump in her throat. She was petrified, I mean any little girl would be right? The man slowly approached. She had to escape… and fast!

CHAPTER 2- DON’T DISOBEY!

After a lot of consideration Lara decided to stay. However, the old man was still slowly limping towards Lara. He had a huge moon boot! It was a velvet red moon boot Lara thought that was very fancy considering she had never seen one before. Suddenly, all Lara could hear was the man screaming “HELLO!” I am Chris Fizz, he sounded like a very enthusiastic man. He made Lara jump! He’s really that loud, she almost jumped out of her skin. Anyway, Lara replied in a scared tone. “H-hello… my name is L-Lara Leckie.” Lara began to walk away from this strange man. She tried to speed, that was one of her talents. However, something stopped her. Oh no! It was the big black cat again; Lara was shocked when she heard it say in a high-pitched tone “Don’t touch the book… or you’ll regret it.”

Lara thought it was just her hearing silly cats speak. So, she walked on shivering. This emporium was filled with random carvings on the wall which did add some random features to the emporium, golden sets of armour that shined in her eyes like the sun on a boiling day, chocolates that tasted like heaven and Lara’s favourite was the golden desk with a stunning red velvet chair with golden arms and legs that Lara had always thought moved. But ever since Lara heard that voice in her head or whatever that sound was, she began thinking. What book? Is it here with me; Lara was thinking for a while and the only book she knows of is that huge book that relaxes on Mr Fizz’s desk? It never left its position it’s like may be glued there or something. Ever since Lara walked in the emporium, she wondered what that book was for? Now she may have just figured out the answer… Now Lara was told not to touch the book she wanted too even more! You know how nosey Lara is she wants to know everything about everyone. It’s like some weird obsession she has had since she was little. She just can’t get rid of it and that annoys Lara more than most things.

Lara was just too tempted, so she paced over to the desk, trying not to act to suspicious. But that was hard considering this was one of the most suspicious things you could do an emporium. It’s almost like trespassing but not exactly. Maybe just maybe this wasn’t even the book that weird cat was talking about; Lara couldn’t lie to herself. I mean what harm can it do? It’s only a ridiculous book? Lara approached the desk slowly and steadily… She leaned on the table trying not to make any noise. On the front of the book, it said “draw if you dare.” She took that warning as a joke she picked up the quill that lay on his desk and began drawing. She drew ancient Egypt because that was her school project it was all about Cleopatra and all those Egyptian people.

However, the floor began to shake, the emporium began to crumble into pieces. Suddenly, Lara found herself in… ANCIENT EGYPT! She was surrounded with sand and pyramids as tall as Mount Everest. She was sweating, it was so hot there; much warmer than it is on Irvine Beach. How did she get here? She sprinted towards one of the pyramids with no doubt she would find herself in a lot of trouble and not just with her mum with Chris too…

CHAPTER 3- THROUGH THE DOOR!

The pyramids creeped Lara out, she was petrified how did she keep managing to find herself in nothing but bother. However, Lara opened the door to hear a loud creek. She tip-toed though and she noticed; a long, dark narrow hallway. Suddenly, she noticed about a hundred mummy’s charging at her she leaped to the side trying to save her own life. After managing to escape these frightening figures; she walked about one thousand steep stairs: When she reached the top, she was breathless but was excited to see millions of shimmering, glistening diamonds blinding her as she entered the room; The walls covered in shining gold paintings of the Mono Lisa. Lara thought to herself… how unusual is this pyramid is… Little did she know she was about to figure out how unusual it really was.

All of a sudden, she heard door bang and swing open lights started to flicker spiders sprinted up and down her legs around her neck. “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” Lara screamed she was petrified what was happening! Then, all the lights turned off, everything went pitch black the door slammed close. Lara gushed out tears she missed her family why can’t she go back home?! She screamed her voice quivering in the pitch-black pyramid. What was she going to do and how was she going to escape? This experience has been petrifying. She can’t wait for it to be over with! She wandered around the room, not knowing what to do or where to go. She had never been to Egypt before so this whole experience is new to her especially all the light flickering, mummies and spiders. She was hoping this was all a bad dream…

After all the banging and light flickering had stopped, she ran down the stairs but noticed to red beadily eyes staring her down wherever she went she heard a hiss she jumped. However, she decided she run back up to the top floor. She was unsure of what this frightening beast was that was lurking down the stairs… And how did it get here because Lara did not see a thing when she entered the pyramid how did it get here Lara thought she closed the heavy door when she was in encase anything like this did happen. She guessed not she must have forgotten to. But she wished she was more careful and DID close the door behind her because now she may have to face much more than a spooky pyramid.

After about one hour she heard something slivering up the steep stairs, the door creeped open. Lara panicked unsure of what to do. Suddenly, the beast entered the room Lara bursed into tears.

CHAPTER 4- THE RETURN!

Lara panicked she was petrified she leaped up onto the top of a statue trying to keep herself safe she tried her hardest to stay off the ground. She wondered what the beast was but she wasn’t going to stick around to find out. She leaped onto the hard concrete floor sprinted down the steep stairs and exited the pyramid. She was lost for a while unable to find the door to leave this weird place she managed to find the door she ran through it desperate to leave… will she manage to get back home or not…?

After a couple minutes nothing had happened Lara began to get suspicious but she was about to get a lot more suspicious. About twenty minutes later she found herself in a pitch-black room she couldn’t see a thing it was as if she was blind. She heard a deep echo but she hadn’t been speaking “WHO IS HERE” Lara screamed almost about to cry. The voice was familiar… wait is it… Chris?  Lara was petrified. Was Lara in bother?

Chris screamed “LARA how dare you… Use my book! WITHOUT PERMISSION!” Lara was scared why was he screaming? She ran until she saw light, she found herself in the emporium again how did she get there? Wherever she went there it was the emporium?

It’s if she can’t escape but suddenly, she noticed a door it was the same door she entered through she opened it and the door slammed shut behind her. But she saw Mr Fizz chasing here screaming “Lara!” come back. After a while he offered her a job at the emporium. They both worked together for ages until one day Chris… died she became the shop owner and now her dream is to create many more wonders.

Chapter 1-Finding the Emporium!

PROLOGUE!

Do you believe in magic? If so, then the emporium is the right place to go. It’s filled with secrets and things people want to know. But… it’s not just like any normal shop. Oh no, it’s definitely not anything out of the ordinary it’s filled with passages and clues you may want to know. Just go there and maybe one day you’ll know. But only enter at your own risk you may not be as worthy as you think you are all sorts of things can happen in the Enchanting Emporium…

Anyways, she opened her eyes she did struggle to see but she managed she was shocked with the amount of real silver and gold that lurks around in such a hidden and scary emporium. All of a sudden, an old man in a grey suit entered the room.

TREMENDOUS TREASURES

                            TREMENDOUS TREASURES!

I would take-

A photo of my lovely Bedlington terrier Pippa,

To look at her cute face whenever I am frightened.

I would take-

The sound of my family’s calm voice and l would listen to it every day

Carefully and follow their instructions.

I would take-

A flame from a burning hot fire to light up the pitch-black nights whenever I am,

Lost in the middle of nowhere.

I would take-

An enjoyable book of spells to practice casting terrible spells on my enemies everyday

Until an enemy appears.

I would take-

A piece of stunning land from Scotland and whenever I am bored I can go

To my happy place.

I would take-

My phone so I can call my fabulous friends, and comfort them

Whenever they feel frightened or dull.

I would take-

My Irish Dancing shoes to entertain everyone around me whenever

There is an awkward or intense silence.

I would take-

My gymnastics leotard so I can go to competitions and win 1st place every time!

I would take-

The softness of a silk cloud for me to sleep on every night.

I would take-

Beautiful golden beams of sun to heat us all up when we are out in the freezing cold nights.

I would take-

My art supplies to put colour on things when they are dull.

I would take-

Some food and water to feed the homeless on the freezing and dark nights.

I would take-

Burning hot ice to trick the Villans into touching it.

I would take-

The smell of a steak pie waiting in the oven dreading to be eaten.

I would take-

The taste of the schools’ yummy chicken curry and eat it whenever I am hungry.

I would take-

A cushion filled with soft silky clouds so I can get to sleep in a click.

OPEN THE CORRECT DOOR

Go and open the white door,

Maybe you’ll hear a dove tweeting to a beautiful melody.

Go and open the blue door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself underwater breathing perfectly.

Go and open the green door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself on top of Mount Evertest as warm as the sun.

Go and open the orange door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself on a basketball pitch playing against a stunning goldfish.

Go and open the bright neon door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself blinded by the light of the sun as you walk in.

Go and open the red door,

Maybe you’ll find the devil waiting to cast a terrible spell on you.

Go and open the black door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself in the middle of the pitch-black night.

Go and open the rainbow door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself in the middle of the solar system looking into outer space.

Go and open the pink door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself lying in a comfy cloud of candy floss.

Go and open the yellow door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself on the sun as cold as an igloo.

Go and open the purple door,

Maybe you’ll find yourself in the galaxy but as a burning warm star!

Magical Poem

In the room of plants,

I felt as if there were ants in my pants making me dance.

In the room of time,

I ate a lime whilst the clocks danced to the song I sang.

In the room of darkness,

I could see clearly as if it was through glasses as clear as the sky.

In the room of decisions,

I cleaned the kitchen’s, and, in my vision, I completed my ambitions.

In the room of food,

was in a mood because I didn’t know who’d stole my snood.

In the room of art,

I played paintball with a dart as they began to fly away.

In the room of sun,

It was so warm that my heart began to run.

In the room of water,

I began to falter.

In the room of icicles,

rode a bicycle whilst I fell on the slippery concrete.

In the room of work,

kind of smirked as I knew the answer to everything

SHOULD FAIRIES BE HUNTED?

Today, we are going to be discussing whether or not fairies should be hunted. This matter is a very serious topic and should be discussed more. Parents are worried that their children may be exposed to different kinds of fairies (evil fairies), but others are not worrying about fairies being accepted in our safe community. However, there are protests going on about whether fairies should be allowed in our town or not it’s just people’s opinions I guess?

Many people believe that fairies should be hunted considering there are many kinds of fairies. Parents are concerned that their kids will be exposed to evil fairies and more dangerous breeds. There are theory’s that these dangerous breeds of fairies carry evil and dangerous potions to make people abide by their rules which I am sure is not a good thing. Others believe that fairies may take over the community and take up too much space! Which I know sounds very silly but if you think about it if hundreds of tiny fairies move into OUR town there will be no space for any more buildings or shops for us to use and buy from. According to some parents their children are traumatised and are frightened for fairies to move into this safe and local community. Apparently, evil fairies are known to eat people’s pets! Which people are not here for.

On the other hand, other people believe that this would be a great thing for our town. They say, ‘the more the merrier’.  Which in some cases is true. Additionally, people claim that fairies could bring lots of magic to our community which is a fabulous thing (for some) And on another hand more people/creatures will be buying things which means more money for our local shops. Which I think is fabulous because I support local shops all the way.

Some people are beginning to think that fairies (especially evil fairies) are beginning to grow friendship with the breed of ‘electricity dragons’. This combination of dragon and fairy are deadly so if you ever spot these two creatures together report them immediately by dialling 123 0987654 321 these group of animals/creatures are deadly especially when working together. I remember years and years ago I almost got gobbled by these beasts. I got the fright of my life! They are dangerous never trust them. I wouldn’t trust them if my life depended on it. I have always believed in magic and I believe fairies could take over this community by casting a couple of spells on us silly humans. Having considered both having and not having fairies. I am beginning to believe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all. I mean what harm can they do? They are tiny harmless creatures who probably want nothing from us. But, on some level I believe that we will need some form of protection encase the horrible breed of evil fairy manages to break into our community and steal our belongings. I think it’s time to end this debate once and for all. I hope you enjoyed!
