A Forgotten Promise

A Forgotten Promise

What are loud? The banging music from next doors’  party, a baby’s echoing cry and excited children playing on a playground.

What are quiet? The deafening silence in libraries, a dark Tuesday night when the streets are still asleep and a sleepy Sunday Morning.

What are empty? A jaded heart shattered into a thousand pieces, a forgotten promise and a lonely, unoccupied tunnel slide at a park.

What are full? A stomach after a delicious Sunday dinner, a heart bursting with passion and a mind overflowing with ideas.

What are frail? The trust between friends, a transparent, delicate wine glass and a pottery production displayed in windows.

What are strong? An unbreakable bond to loved ones, shiny, heavy steel and police officers fighting crime.

Cuddles at night

Cuddles at night

What are smooth? My dog’s tongue when he licks the palm of my hand, my dog’s fur when he cuddles me at night and my bedding when it’s been washed.

What are rough? The roof of Dexter’s mouth when I brush his teeth, my peeling skin when I’ve been in the sun for too long and a rhinoceros skin when they come out of the water.

What are full? My brain at the end of a school day, my stomach after lunch and my heart bursting with love for my family.

What are empty? Water bottles after a hike up Snowdon, a classroom before the start of a school day and my brain when I’ve ran out of ideas for this poem.

What are cold? Snowflakes falling gently, a cold shoulder and a intense snow ball fight.
What are hot? A ghost chilli pepper, lava from a volcano and a mouthful of harsh words.

Santas cold nose

What are cold? The inside of a fridge, Santa with a cold nose walking past a polar bear and  a penguin sleeping on a iceberg in the sea.

What is hot? A volcano erupting in the rocks, the big, hot sun in space, an oven coking a big bit of fish fresh out of a pan.

What are wet? A stormy rain falling from the clouds, a wet cube in a cold drink and some wet sand on a windy and rainy beach.

What are dry? A lonely rock sitting on the sand, a pice of bread on a plate and a pen in a pencil pot.

What are big? A giraffe eating a bit of grass, people moving into a new house and people looking at Mount Everest .

What is small? A mouse eating cheese, a snail eating some lettuce and a leaf falling to the ground.

Never Have I Ever

Friday 8th October 2021

I have never made the in the La Palma volcano erupt but I have made my mum’s temper erupt.

I’ve never been eaten by a big, fat, chunky man but I have eaten a big, fat, and chunky gingerbread man.

I have never sat on a giraffe but I have ridden a horse called Joff.

I have never been eaten by a despicable, evil and strangely alive toilet bowl although I have been bitten by an alive shrimp.

I have never been bitten by a massive, venomous snake but, I have been bitten by an invisible, skin-ripping midget in the forest.

Never Have I Ever

have never scored a goal in the Kop end at Anfield but I have pelted one in the top corner at Atherton Town.

I have never been in a real war but I have gone on missions in nerf wars.

I’ve never swam in the Atlantic but have swam on the shores of the English Channel.

I have never run a marathon but I have run 10k.

Fire Breathing Dragon

I have never rode a fire breathing dragon flying over a cliff

But I have ridden a giraffe teddy in B & M.

I have never caught a cat fish the size of a cat

But I have fished tiny tadpoles in a pond.

I have never climbed Mount Everest

But i have held onto a climbing frame at the park.

I have never seen a fire in my car

But I have watched a scorching hot fire at bomb fire night.

I have never seen a rat running across my garden

But I have seen my dog running in my garden.

Never have I ever

Lamar-

I have never seen America

But I have seen videos about it.

I have never seen world war2 but I have heard about it

I have never had the privileged of riding a horse  but I have ridden on a donkey

I have never tasted bbq but I had tasted ketchup

I have never eaten pork but I can still eat halal meat

Exploring New Things

Friday 8th October 2021

Exploring New Places

I have never fought a ferocious dragon, breathing scorching fire,

but I have argued with my friend over the last packet

of crisp in Asda, as our parents beg us to stop.

I have never climbed a challenging mountain ascending,

but I have tried to reach the top of a climbing wall in Howe

Bridge Leisure Centre.

I have never been to Disney Land, the happiest place on earth,

but I have gone to Southport Pleasure land, almost extravagant as

Disney Land .

I have never visited the green luscious land in Lake District,

but I have ran up and down energetically with my friends in

Green Hill.

I have never swam in the calming water filled with chattering people

in Center Parcs, but I have played in the water energetically at Splash

Area at Gullivers World.

I have but i have not

Friday 8th October

I have but i have never

I have never visited the green , luscious land that spreads across New Zealand meadows, covered in fragranced flowers blossoming in the sunlight.

But i have travelled up and down green hill with my friends.

I have painted a rainbow shining.

But i have drawn a poney in the sky.

I have never been locked up in a dreaded Tower.

But i have been locked up in my toilet.

I have never seen godziller fight Hong Kong on my street.

But i have hurt my brother in my house
