Chapter 4
Squirming, people running, agitated Captain, crying children. Everyone woke to nervous tension, itching to leave the next morning. This was a different start to the day, to what they rose to the previous daylight. The rain stormed over the skyship, a quiet pitter-patter sound like an individual heartbeat. The dripping of the rain soon created miniature puddles around the ship, many people were slipping over. Anxiously running, Joey fell on his face trying to load the fuel into the tank because they had none left of it and without it they could not go anywhere. Harley was helping make weapons for the attack they were about to face, cannons, slingshots and stink bombs. Soon, they were ready for take off; the hot air balloons slowly inflated and the engines roared like a beast bellowed with rage. Then finally they were off, looked down at the islands hoping that wasn’t the last time they would ever feel land on their feet.
Smiley, shiney, sharp teeth grinned savagely like a lion stalking its prey; All members of the group Miloseva loaded with insulting, threatening blades, ready to attack; Their muscled bodies alarming the brains of many; Their bloodshot ruby red eyes darting from place to place tracking down their next victim. One by one downing alcohol, making themself angrier by the minute, easing their chance of winning by throwing their thoughts and fears out of the window. Fearless-bold-brutal.
Abruptly, everyone started screaming, they were here! “Fire the cannons!” Captain Whiteheart exclaimed.
The ship was rapidly getting shot, a murderous wave of intensity like a killer earthquake every time. Joey and Harley bolted in the basement underneath the table in the kitchen. Above a loud clip-clop clip-clop took place, she was on the floor above, her heavy crocodile leather boots stomping about searching for the vermillion-ruby, which was the only
one to ever be found in the world. Shortly, the noise grew louder and louder then someone opened the hatch into the basement. “ Where are you Vermilly, come out, come out wherever you are?”
Hardly daring to breathe, Joey and Harley looked at each other as if they were communicating through their eyes. She paced through the kitchen, opening every cupboard door trying to find it. It was moments before they were intending to get found…
Unexpectedly, Captain Whiteheart jumped through the basement hatch. Now it was a battle of Captain Whiteheart versus Captain Bluemerith whoever would win would forever own the vermillion-ruby and whoever would lose would let their skyships down. “ What chance do you have of winning you lost no good elforo ( meaning an idiot in pirates language)”
screamed Captain Bluemerith.
“This is my ship, I know every nook and cranny of this ship, something might just appear out of knowear” told Captain Whiteheart.
In a blink of an eye, they were fighting, ripping each other’s throats out, unfortunately this was the cruel way of living for those who don’t have rules and boundaries, especially the carefree pirates. Then Captain Bluemerith smashed a punch on Captain Whiteheart’s face. Blood was pouring out of her eye sockets, she had let the ship down, in fact she had let everyone down, but now it was all over. These bloodthirsty, ferocious terminators could take whatever they want and do anything to anyone they want. They were all now slaves of Melsoiva and were no longer safe. “Finally, what deserves to be mine is now in my possession, me and Vermilly can have a precious and loving time we both have always dreamed of!” Captain Bluemerith thrilled.
A wave of thought washed over Joey, he had the most powerful item in the world he could save everyone! Delicately, he clutched the gemstone out of his pocket, he shakily walked towards Captain Whiteheart,” Now this is your time to prove your worth and bring this ship back from misery!” Joey said timidly.
Captain Whiteheart limped towards her, “ Don’t ever return to our ship again and if you do what you like to call your darling Vermilly, will attack you every single time! Do you understand?” Shouted Captain Whiteheart.
Before she could say anything she shattered her soul, removing her and her followers, retreating back to their original lives.
Many weeks passed, and the ship had only just recovered from the dreaded Milosiva, Captain Whiteheart was living her best life and being treated like a queen for her bravery. Joey got anything he set his mind to for a month. The crew had only just finished scrubbing the deck, now it was squeaky clean. Although it may be clean they couldn’t lose memories within it.
After this, the sour-faced evil woman still had a glint of revenge in her eyes, despite the fact she was fearless, the Vermillion-ruby broke her heart, now she wanted to break him.
