Chapter 4:

Looking around her surroundings, Maria could see everyone panicking and rushing around (which they all didn’t know what they were doing) trying their best to get the ship prepared. Captain Rosemer was giving everyone orders to set off before the lava dragon could attack. “ Go and fire the engines! You go untie the ropes! Make sure the water bucket has been emptied!”. Ells heard a horrible noise in the distance. She looked up to see in the clouds a group of lava dragons hovering over the skyship infinitely . Was it too late…?

 The skyship was already up and in the air picking up pasit, protecting them while the dragons followed, but not for long when the dragons caught up and the ship slowed down. Their bumpy, scaly wings smacked their waists like drums as they flew down to the skyship. Wide multi coloured bodies swinging all over the place, and their grey blue eyes staring intensely, ready to battle. The fire-faced creatures were ready. 

The dragons landed on the ship and breathed fire in everybody’s face. Everyone screamed and not one person didn’t. They had no choice but to fight back. They didn’t have many weapons. They only had a few shields, which smiled in the light: one or two ancient fire-stopper-stones; swords and helmets – which led them to fight with all their strength. Ells and Maria looked at each other and took a deep breath “ We’ve got this!” They both said. They both ran into action, attempting to fight this crazy beast. At that moment, Maria remembered the fenix gem that the mysterious creature gave her. 

She immediately threw it up straight in the air where the dragons couldn’t see. As it fell down Maria thought she did it wrong, She thought that she just ruined her moment. When all of a sudden, it hit the dragons. All of the dragons got wiped out. Each and everyone of them, laying on the floor looking like they had no life left. Maria looked at Elles and just smiled excitedly as if she just won a trophy, while everyone else just cheered, peeking over the edge as people dropped them one by one into the sea.

That afternoon, The Skyship infinity was cleaned and cleared. Terrible cuts were treated with the ship’s doctor, destroyed things were moved and replaced and the skyship started to come together again. Maria and Elles took turns looking in the book of wonderland, choosing their next exciting adventure. They could see in the distance new horizons waiting from them.
