Chapter 4:

Looking around her surroundings, Maria could see everyone panicking and rushing around (which they all didn’t know what they were doing) trying their best to get the ship prepared. Captain Rosemer was giving everyone orders to set off before the lava dragon could attack. “ Go and fire the engines! You go untie the ropes! Make sure the water bucket has been emptied!”. Ells heard a horrible noise in the distance. She looked up to see in the clouds a group of lava dragons hovering over the skyship infinitely . Was it too late…?

 The skyship was already up and in the air picking up pasit, protecting them while the dragons followed, but not for long when the dragons caught up and the ship slowed down. Their bumpy, scaly wings smacked their waists like drums as they flew down to the skyship. Wide multi coloured bodies swinging all over the place, and their grey blue eyes staring intensely, ready to battle. The fire-faced creatures were ready. 

The dragons landed on the ship and breathed fire in everybody’s face. Everyone screamed and not one person didn’t. They had no choice but to fight back. They didn’t have many weapons. They only had a few shields, which smiled in the light: one or two ancient fire-stopper-stones; swords and helmets – which led them to fight with all their strength. Ells and Maria looked at each other and took a deep breath “ We’ve got this!” They both said. They both ran into action, attempting to fight this crazy beast. At that moment, Maria remembered the fenix gem that the mysterious creature gave her. 

She immediately threw it up straight in the air where the dragons couldn’t see. As it fell down Maria thought she did it wrong, She thought that she just ruined her moment. When all of a sudden, it hit the dragons. All of the dragons got wiped out. Each and everyone of them, laying on the floor looking like they had no life left. Maria looked at Elles and just smiled excitedly as if she just won a trophy, while everyone else just cheered, peeking over the edge as people dropped them one by one into the sea.

That afternoon, The Skyship infinity was cleaned and cleared. Terrible cuts were treated with the ship’s doctor, destroyed things were moved and replaced and the skyship started to come together again. Maria and Elles took turns looking in the book of wonderland, choosing their next exciting adventure. They could see in the distance new horizons waiting from them.

Chapter 3:

As the sun rose up with a gorgeous pink sunset, Captain Rosemer was already screaming at everyone to do their tasks, “ Oi you, wake up and go fetch some water! And you, go find us some food as we dont want to starve!” Then she moved onto Maria, “You thought I was going to forget you?” she laughed, “ Go hunt for some firewood, we are freezing!”

Cluelessly, Maria stumbled down into the forest, scavenging for wood. All around her was just forest: pine cones overt took the floor; bushes growing wherever they wanted; and trees making it so shady that it was almost pitch black.But what was that rustling in the bush? The sound got louder as if it was getting closer and all of a sudden, “ Boo!”, Maria jumped. “ Don’t worry, I’m not here to hurt you, I’m here to help you! Just follow me.” Maria decided to follow. She took her up onto a covered hill and gave Maria a fenix gem and said that she would need it, but why?

A few seconds later, she took Maria into a room and whispered, “The lava dragons are near.” Maria did not understand but as she looked up she saw Ells. “ There’s no time to explain, we need to get everyone ready for take off!” Ells said. Maria just looked around not having a clue what just happened.

Ells grabbed Maria’s hands and pulled her back down the hill. “ We must warn the captain before it’s too late!” Ells shouted. They went up to the ship into the captain’s room. “ Captain Rosemer! We could be under attack! We got warned that the lava dragons are near and that we need to prepare for take off!” Ells said, the Captains face with shock. “ Emergency! This is important! Lava dragons are near so we are under attack!  Prepare for take off!” Rosermer shouted on her microphone. Everyone started to fire the engines and untie the ropes. 

But it was to late.

Dear captain rewCulpepper,

I am writing to you today to apply for a job to be a part of the crew on the skyship Aurora. I hope you feel that my skills would be good enough to join this crew. I will bring joy and happiness to your ship in many ways.

First, I have the ability to do first aid, and recently have completed my YFAEs (The young first aid exams). THis means that if anybody on the ship is at risk of death, I could save them with the skills that I have learned. So no matter how hurt you get, you have a big chance of surviving. 

Secondly, I am very hygienic and keep me and my surroundings clean. If there are any illnesses spreading around the Aurora, I will not get sick and as I am a first aida, I will provide medicine for any sick people. 

Furthermore, I am very skilled at acrobatics, which means that I can get across the ship very quickly. If there was a battle, my skills can defeat them in seconds. My acrobatics are very powerful and I could easily help around the skyship.

Thank you for taking your time to read this letter. Please consider me to be apart of the crew, I am a very hygienic first aid person, who is very quick and skillful.

Prologue 

You’ve probably had many exciting trips on skyships. In the summer, you would have flown over towns and villages enjoying the breeze. When you flew, there would have been children playing in the water at beaches  with blue, clear skies. When you flew, there would have been sailors catching fresh fish meat then travelling from island to island. You probably got taken to the hawaii islands and landed the skyship just so you could get a tan at the beach. 

But travelling on an adventure to a forgotten island is no matter. You should try a Skyship journey where the speed of the ship allows the breeze to flow in your hair. You should try being there when vicious aliens attack, when they use their weapons to destroy the Skyship. You should try being there when the food runs out and there is only a drop of water left. Few people would wish that on anyone. Even experienced flyers think about not travelling on the ship. No one knows what creatures hide there. Rumour has it that there are dragon-devouris, lava-giants and more. Few would wish to meet a fast-eater-troll. Most say the rumours are for a good reason.

Chapter 1

Everyone’s eyes followed up as the Skyship Infinity rose into the pink, colourful sunset. Captain Rosemer was staring into the view planning her next destination, her face with joy and determination. And then they were gone!

Maria and Ells peered down as the skyship infinity rose up, looking at things which were humans but ended up looking like tiny ants. The skyship passed over many towns, and went over trees, which looked like pieces of broccoli standing on a plate, and beaches with many seagulls stealing others’ chips, while screaming kids played in the sea.

Attempting to shout at the crowd below, Ells and Maria turned to each other and grinned. Maria was once again happy to be on an adventure, but on the inside her stomach felt like they had butterflies in it and her heart began to race as they got higher and higher up into the sky. She thought to herself, will I be okay? 

After a few hours, the Skyship Infinity was already above the woodland forest. Ells saw people camping in tents, people lighting fires and roasting marshmallows on them. Maria sat down and said, “I wonder when we will get to the island of Da Fitit?” She mumbled, while starting into the distance. Ells looked over to her and replied,

 “ Well, I want to know if we ever come across the fire bear again. Last time we almost made the skyship light on fire! I hope we never do that again.”

That evening, the weather turned icy cold, with hail bounced  off the air balloon. The sun created an orangey pale colour that lighted up the sky. From the deck, Ells  could see the tower of stone down below, with shimmering lights like the stars in the galaxy.

Advice for an explorer

Have you ever dreamt of exploring the world in front of you? If so, read on for tips and tricks for your journey. It is important to know all the dangers you could face and wht helpful tips to know on your adventure.

As you’re travelling on your journey,  never pick an apple from a tree as they have been poisoned by the evil dragons. A book of spells, which can be very helpful, will grant anything you wish. During the evening when the night appears, look out for carpets because these carpets  can fly so you can get a free lift to your destination.

Beware  of blood-sucking creatures that lurk nearby: venomous dragons, which slice your toes off; and ***************** that will take sweet innocent little girls. To get rid of these villains grab salt and vinegar and chuck it in their eyes to defeat these monsters.

Always remember to identify wild fruit to see if it is real or fake; the fake one has a serious mixture of poison and blended spiders, one bite of the fruit and you won’t survive. 

If you trip while walking through sluggy mud then do not panic. Sprinkle some healing dust on your body to get rid of it, but remember to seek help.

So if you ever explore the mysterious world, always remember to bring the essentials and always keep a lookout in your surroundings, good luck and be brave.

Searching for a the lost explorer

Travel to the ancient watch tower,

and seek moving shadows below,

wait for the sound of twinkling,

each step you go.

Jump on the unicorns back,

And glide into the magical sky,

Ask for a handful of help, 

as you learn to fly.

Reach your destination,

Then say goodbye,

Chase the sounds of echoes ahead,

Along the rocky giants up high. 

Turn your body around,

And look the enemy in the eye,

You do not want to die. 

Run into the sky carts,

And make your way down,

Back into the dark town.

Lastly if luck is by your side,

The explorer will be waiting there.

On the Island of Dreams,

 I captured magical memories,

Dancing around like night flys,

Coming out of the minds of young people.

On the Island of crystal, 

I saw glimmering diamonds starting at you,

Determined-finders searching everywhere,

Ice crystals hanging like bats.

On the Island of orange,

I noticed peeping carrots having their hair

 munched of by fluffy-hoppers, orange fruit balls falling

From high places.

On the Island of light,

I found fire flies buzzing around in the night sky,

Ribbons of sunlight blinding people’s eyes.

On the Island of sage green,

I heard confused cactuses wondering why they cant move,

Trees swaying side to side as if they were dancing.

Dear Transformer girl,

                                 I am writing to you today to persuade you to retire from being a superhero and have a normal life like you did before. I will  explain to you all the reasons why you should rest.

My first point is that every single mission of yours goes completely wrong. You have destroyed the whole city with your moves and when you try to catch the criminals your jetpack is way too slow; you can never catch them. You do not help the city at all.

I would like to argue that when your jetpack breaks the government have  to pay for it, which costs over £50,000 and it gets to the point where they can not afford it. Do you want money to go to waste if it is just going to be broken again? The jet pack is hardly worth keeping as the only thing you do is travel on it even though you can walk, there is no need for this.

Furthermore, I am concerned that you are very irresponsible  around the city, which is very dangerous. We believe you do not concentrate, there have been five crimes in the past week and you have managed to save only one. This is not helpful for the city; this is very unexceptable. This makes everyone scared.To build on this concern, some children have been getting hurt because of your actions; parents at home are very upset.

Although some people suggest seeing you transform into different animals makes them smile, we think that you should not transform into other animals. My first reason is that you have a limited time to transform if not you blow up and we do not want you to die. My second reason is that people get scared as they do not know if it is you.

To summarise, you do not help the city in any way shape or form. Not many people know whether to trust you or not. If I were you, I would retire from being a superhero and get a real job. I promise you that you would get a benefit if you get a new job. Please consider the points I have raised.
