suspence paragraph

Amber woke up; she had found herself surrounded in fluffy clouds.

She thought to herself if it was a dream, but it wasn’t. She stood up as her legs were jiggling from being scared. As she stood up she could see: stars twinkling in the sky; the sun rising up creating an orange glow; and clouds racing towards the sun. She slowly stumbled from cloud to cloud. Something made a noise , it wasn’t the wind or the clouds (it sounded real and alive). Amber’s heart pounded as she was confused about what was up here with her. It was a frost-dragon…

Chapter 3

chapter:3

Struggling to open her eyes, she woke up. She had realised she was in the exact same stop as she could remember, an old building where there were cracks on the walls, which were climbing up; dead weeds, which had sprung up along all of the walls, and broken glass was scattered everywhere. She nudged against the Elephant to wake her up. She ripped her eyes open and looked at Lily. The Elephant let out a croaky groan. Lily gasped.

She picked her and the Elephant up off the floor and brushed off little pieces of rubbish off her trousers. Her and the Elephant doodled around the building, hoping to find a better hiding spot to stay. All of a sudden, Lily saw a guard, who carried a torch [ that kept flickering ] searching around. She walked up to this cornered area and knelt down. Lily noticed some kind of map on the floor that looked like it had been dropped by a guard. She didn’t know what it was but she put it in her pocket just in case.

All of a sudden, something entered the building. There was silence, a feeling of someone watching. Sun light shot through the dark: creaking floorboards, the security began to search the building. Lily saw shadows crawling around the floor and felt a shivering sharp wind race through the open door. Shivering, she snuggled with the warm ears from the Elephant. They could just wait here and be painted until the guards get past.

At that moment, it clicked. Because Lily found out what the map was, her mouth dropped. It was the map to the gateway. She grinned, she knew she was going to get out of here. It was at St Peter’s church, an old ancient place. They figured it out.

Lily dragged the Elephant outside the building they were hiding in. As Lily marched down the high street she pulled out the map. She looked up and down and realised she was on the right track.

chapter 2

Chapter 2:

Outside, rain created a swimming pool, causing a flood to flow down the streets. Inside, Lily marched through the abandoned house searching around for somewhere to hide. Old, rotting furniture stacked up, rusted metal poles struggled to hold the building up and broken bricks were everywhen you looked. To his disbelief, there was exactly no way out. He was stuck.

Beside her, a strange man, which she had never seen before, was standing there, Lily gasped…

At that moment, something thumped. Out of nowhere, one pair of grey eyes appeared, a flash of wrinkly, grey skin and the whitest of teeth. Whatever it was stumbled past Lily and stood between her and the man.

It was massive, massive and grey. Lily realised she was standing by a huge elephant. It threw back its trunk and made a funny noise. At that moment the man had run. Lily stood frightened to the spot, paralysed by fear.

The Elephant spun around and laid down in front of Lily, resting her head  on the ground. She could see she was nervous. A flash of red ran across her side. She has never been so close to such a big, scary creature. She could smell a muddy, musty scent on her and watched a tiny fly, flew over her head.

Several minutes later, they stared silently at each other and lily felt that something was wrong, looking deeper and deeper into her eyes. Her fear began to disappear and she reached out her hand. Then the elephant licked her skin with a pink, rough, wrinkled tongue. She could see happiness but a side of sadness.

All of a sudden, she spoke in a low, dark but kind voice  that flowed its way into Lily’s ear. It was a voice of rock and grass and mud. “ Help me!” she quietly said. “We need to find the gateway.”

Lily stared in shock, nodding her head as if she understood. She just knew she was going to help this beautiful, harmless creature.” They’re coming for me,” said the elephant. “ I need to hide!”.

Half an hour later, Lily and the Elephant strided down through the streets, down to the old farmhouse by the forest. No one ever dared to step past it. Rumour says it had ghosts that haunted the hulding. But Lily has stepped past and made an entry. She had once rested inside and sat to watch whatever was on the TV. The elephant sait in the corner all curled up. Lily kept an eye out.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

It was a cold morning in January. The wind swooped down and jumped over house to house sweeping up rubbish on the streets of Brandon.  A few lampposts had been lit, creating shadows everywhere you look. Lily pulled her hood over her head more and just sighed. Most buildings fell last night due to a terrible storm. Shops were still shut as there was a lot of damage. Apart from horses clucking on the road it was silent.

A few hours later Lily had finally arrived beside Tesco where soldiers surrounded the entry way.  “ Hello! Ive been able to come through.” she said . “ You’re not getting through here that easily.”the security man replied. “ I promise I am able to , I’ve even got proof. She explained. “ Let’s see it then!”. She rummaged through  her coat pocket and pulled out a split, the man read it.  “ mh , well you’ve got me this time , head your way through then.” he said with a grumpy face “ oh thank you so much !” she said with excitement.

She managed to get through to the new happier place of Brandon. Many kids   running around in the sunshine liking their ice pop; Ivy climbing up the walls : clear streets everywhere you look. It was just perfect. Everyone had a big smile and was enjoying life. Lily really wanted to stay here. She just looked down and went on her mission to deliver the present.

Lily walked down a dodgy allie way and saw someone heading towards her. She didn’t think much of it but then accidentally bumped into them. “ what are you doing?” the old man said, angrily. “ I am so sorry, I didn’t see you.” She explained. “ I don’t think you’re sorry!” he said. She could just see it in his eyes that something was about to happen Without thinking she just ran for her life. Lilys gift flew out of her arms as she ran. Clouds covered the sun which made her hands [ that were already cracked and blisters] numb. She just ran and took a left where there was a big green recycle bin. It was her only choice so she just hid.

Sentances

Although it was snowing, I wore a shirt.

In case there was a snake there, I took my time.

When there was a bad smell, I bought a gas mask.

As it was silent, I played my music very loudly.

Since it was scary,I took my time.

After there was an odd sound, I gave a frog a helping hand.

Before there was no one there, I played my trombone.

As it was a strange request, I fed the shark.

Ground-shaker

Ground-Shaker

Elephant, elephant,

Why are your ears so big

Like a blanket? Are you

Even good at hearing?

Elephant, elephant,

Do you like your teeth?

Would you prefer them on

The inside or outside of your

Mouth?

Elephant, elephant,

Why are people so

Afraid of you when you

Are so innocent? Do you

Even try to be kind?

Elephant, elephant,

Do you prefer fruits

Or meat? Or do you

Just prefer both?

Elephant, elephant,

How do you feel to

Be the largest animal

On earth?

Elephant, elephant,

Do you like your trunk?

 Does it feel like your

Carrying a weight all

Day long

Outside, the rain fell across the busy town.

Inside the year 6 classroom, the teachers set out work.

Outside, a grey fog appeared.

Inside, the people huddled.

Outside the school, many people gathered around.

Inside, the heat steamed up on the shop’s window.

Outside the palace, the dragon swooped around.

Inside, everyone watched.

Outside, the storm struck

Inside everyone sat around the fire.

Vicious bloodshot red eyes coming for you at night.

Purring like the sound of a car.

Attacking like a viper.
