Prologue

There are some places that no one goes to. No one ever steps a foot inside.

Even though, at Halloween, the pumpkins on the door steps glow up with a candle inside.

Even though, in the springtime the flowers in the shop are watered.

Even though the toys on the stand looked alive.

Even though the snowglobes glistened  with fake snow .

But no one ever entered.

Chapter 1

 Mila was an audacious girl but her mum had always told her that she might get in big trouble.

One rainy Monday morning, Mila went down Avenue Road when she perceived something weird about the Emporium. She saw a strange looking book. It was really unusual but she went to the Emporium shop to get some things to decorate her house with.

Later,  Mila saw different types of cool things like vibrant colour hats and funky circus costumes. The shop  was really packed with very nice things.Mila found plastic dolls and wooden toys.

She looked around for a snowglobe she wanted for christmas so she took it from the shelf.There was a scarlet book with gold stars  placed behind the snowglobes.She was confused but still got the snowglobe she wanted and grabbed some other things she needed.Mila recognized the books with gold stars from the Emporium door.

“I see you have found the Emporium book!” said a strange voice.

Mila gasped and closed the book.There were spots all over his face and his clothes were very colourful. His eyes were very dark and his lips very chapped.The guy looked really weird.”I’m sorry, should I put it back?.” asked Mila very quietly, as

the weird looking cat on his shoulder looked at her very creepily.

The crawly creature

The Crawly creature is on the loose. It was spotted at the park. The home of this insect is the Sango Bamboo Forest. The abilities of this insect are stinging claws and red glowing eyes. Scientists are looking for more information about this mysterious creature. You can’t feel their bites or their stings. Their bites can kill you and some can cause a deadly rash. 

The insect is mostly likely to kill you in seconds. It comes around in summer and spring. It always becomes cold when it steps from the underground. Their body freezes in seconds. In the summer it loves looking for food to store for the winter seasons.

The diet of the Crawly Creature starts off with breakfast. They eat ants wrapped with leaves. For snacks they eat leaves. For their lunch they eat mushy flys and blood for sauce. For their dinner they eat Fish eyeballs. This diet is nutritious for the Crawly Creature.

Quietly, Mila walks near a handle that matches with the wall. “Oo what is this door? she says excitedly.

As she steps in she falls very rapidly. Desperately, Mila tries to breathe while moving around.

The world goes round like it hasn’t before,”AHHH,” Mila screams.

Her mind swirls and she feels like she is about to die and then her eyes start to fade.

She sleeps as she goes down very rapidly.

Later that day, Mila’s eyes’s start to open steadily while she stands up feeling confused and worried. “Hi Mr Ren, I’m happy to see you.” she says very pleasingly. 

As slowly she could walk she moved to the Emporium book. She drew the little house in, feeling woozy. She puts down the book and leaves the shop.

That minute, Mila looks at the Emporium shop again and it seems to look like a sweet shop.

“Huh” Mila says unclearly.

She feels like she is not ok after jumping down the portal. She ignores everything and walks home to get some rest. The whole day she has been feeling dizzy and weird. 

While she is walking, she looks behind and sees that same creepy, mysterious and strange looking cat. It was on Mr Ren’s shoulder when she first came into the Emporium shop.

“This is very strange,” Mila says while running faster.

The cat was so fast that Mila gave up and stopped to see what it did. 

Mila ran as fast as she could to get away and that led up to a shiny thing placed near the end of the road.

“Hello my name is Mr Ren,” the shopkeeper says.

“Well, do you like the shop’s new decorations? It looks really nice!”  he says

Mila looks confused and lost for something to say. She looks the other way and ignores what he says.Her cheeks glow carmine. Mr Ren then gives her the Emporium book and warns her to not open it. Mila doesn’t open the book, looking perturbed and scared if she does.”I’ll take that back I guess, and you can look around if you want” he says, snatching the book.

Moments later, Mr Ren gives her a gold, shiny and gorgeous chain that she should keep. When Mr Ren turns around and puts the Emporium book down, Mila walks over and grabs the book. She looks at all the pages in the book. It had many magical things like villages, oceans ,cloud cities and skyscrapers. Mila finds a pen and draws a city and inside that city there is a tiny house and inside the house  there is a necklace.

Mila closes the book and follows a cat named Milo out the door and onto the pavement.When they go into a portal  for about 2 seconds  Mila sees the tiny house that she drew and they go inside. “Is anyone here?,” she says . As she looks down at the little coffee table, she sees the thing she has been wanting for very long. It was the necklace she drew inside the book, her heart starts to thud as she imagines how this could be true. She has been wanting this necklace for a very long time.

The tiny house had everything she had been imagining. There was:a cozy living room with a fireplace; a modern kitchen ;a dining table ;a bathroom ;an old pan sitting on top of the stove ;a bed and lastly the coffee table- that she drew the necklace on top of.

“Hello, is anyone here!” she shouts but there was quietude.

Later, a very eerie noise came from the portal they stepped out from. There was a weird looking monster. The monster had:super long nails ;teeth sharper than a knife; very rusty fur and red eyes. Mila runs out the door and sprints through the pathway that leads into a forest. “Come back!,” shouts the monster running after Mila.

“Hello my name is Mr Ren,” the shopkeeper says.

To create a treasure

I would take:

The sound of

The gallop from a black and white horse,

The hiss from a scaly snake,

The meow from a fluffy cat,

The venom from a deadly spider.

The touch of

The fluffy fur on a cat at home,

The snowflakes on my shoulder outside,

The grass tickling my feet as I lay on the field.

The smell of 

The cookies cooking in the oven,

The smoke coming out the toaster,

The flower bouquet at the shops.

The taste of

A milkshake that has been in the fridge,

My favorite vegetable pizza,

The cookies my mum makes.

The sight of

The most pretty field of flowers,

The sunset at the beach,

The diamond earrings I got for my 10th birthday.

Go and open the sapphire door,

maybe there is a waterfall of ice cubes collapsing on top of your head.

Go and open the sandstone door,

maybe there is a pumpkin with a glossy outside waiting to be carved for halloween.

Go and open the lemon door,

maybe there is a banana with black spots waiting to be eaten.

Go and open the cherry door,

maybe there is a field of scarlet flowers scattered everywhere.

Go and open the pearl door,

maybe there is a chaplet of fluffy clouds moving in the sky.
