ocean

I’d like you to imagine the biggest ocean with life all around.

I’d like you to remember all the fun you had at the beach that one summer.

I’d like you to hold all those memories and never let go.

Now, please fill out this short questionnaire:

Does your ocean get too warm or too cold?

Where does your ocean sleep?

What does your ocean do in a storm?

How many fish does your ocean own?

Did the ocean ever have dinner with earth?

Has your ocean ever eaten a ship?

When did the ocean last tantrum?

Would the ocean ever go to a football game?

Will the ocean turn pink one day?

Can the ocean fly to the moon?

Could the ocean swim forever?

A simple request

It doesn’t have to be
the rain dripping down the window on a stormy night,
or the sun set sparkling on the Black beach sea,
or the view at the top of Benmore.

It could be
eating a scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate sauce on it,
or picking shells off Calgary beach on a hot summer day,
or watching a fire while eating roasted marshmallow.

Just pay attention to the little things and never take anything for granted.

A cluster of lush, viridescent mint

Go and open the green door,

Maybe there is an emerald dragon staring at the mines,

A cluster of lush, viridescent mint or

A blunt cactus on a sunny day

Go and open the black door,

Maybe there is a portal into a special night from the past,

A cloak of the darkest midnight swaying in the wind or

A bat as dark as coal.

Go and open the orange door,

Maybe you will see a maze of marmalade-covered doors,

A tin of baked beans cooking in the sun or

A flickering, orange fire.

In the house full of kittens.

In the house full of kittens,

The floor purrs when you step on it.

In the house full of kittens,

The furniture brushes your legs.

In the house full of kittens,

All of the clothes are made out of cat hair on the inside.

In the house full of kittens,

The floor is covered in pellets.

In the house full of kittens,

There is a statue of each species of cat.

In the house full of kittens,

There are several food and water bowls all over the place.

In The Room Of

In the room of paper, blood oozed from my cut.

In the room of death, knifes smeared with blood were hung.

In the room of pizza, cheese exuded from the crunchy crust.

In the room of engines, V8 motors hummed with anger.

In the room of music, a melody of peace put me in a trance.

In the room of shadows, silhouettes lurked unseen by human eyes.

the sky ship {chapter4}

Several minutes later, they arrived at the pods garage, the dads had gone hunting and the mothers  were  making  a nice meat casserole. Children moaned from hunger as they had not had breakfast. They hadn’t slept  last night and were  trying to have a little nap before dinner.

Tom and Sam stood together in the lounge of their pod. Moments later, their farther had arrived with a buck tide up on a stick, blood was strewn  on its skin. Litres upon Litres of blood trailed behind them.

The snow didn’t bother the brothers  , they’d never get fed up of the snow men and the sledges. The winters breeze reminded them of home, the  way the sea of cotton candy like clouds bobbed below the ship instead of salty  water.

It was then when the pod creaked… A Silhouette was squirming on the side of the pod Sam loving every moment of  this, sprinted towards the creature… Tom waited for a description  from Sam, But it never came.

After what seemed like hours , Sam  shouted, ‘its a robotic worm cleaning the pod. Tom loved robotics. After seeing the robotic worm that’s name was actually RWCF -FC [ robotic worm cleaner for- flying craft].

At dusk ,the captain called everyone for dinner. After hours of chuckling and story telling, everyone was exhausted  . They left  the table and headed for their pods.

the sky ship

Tom gript the hammocks stand, his feet acing as the ship tilted. The sky was about to have them for dinner when the captain won the battle, steering to safety  the captain spoke ,”fellow crewmates we have spotted  a  dragon in the distance, remain calm we shall be attacking, when necessary…”

Moments later, a mementoes thud drove the ship backwards, Tom and Sam had to get back to the main land. They snuck out of the children’s room, [research HQ] then they sprinted to the cockpit to activate emergency pod sequence …

In the corner of his eye , a scale glinted, but he hadn’t heard the harpoons and the SSP [sky security police ] shouting …  he saw a yellow beady eye the size of a football opening…”DUCK!” exclaimed Sam trying to keep out of the dragon’s sight. Immediately, Sam felt a gigantic shadow towering over him as a crackling flame shot out the dragon’s mouth it was attempting to  intimidate them, with the fate of his family and friends depending on them, the brothers worked together to defeat the mighty beast …

Tom did the distraction while Sam pressed the evacuation alarm. The 2 boys sprinted down the 3 layers of stairs to the garage where 40 evacuation pods were stored. Each pod held a life time of needs such as a kitchen , a room, a cockpit ,a toilet  and last but not least a lounge. Tom and Sam dashed through the door to the garage looking for the pod reserved for them, they finally found their parents outside their pod , the doors opened and they got in .Seconds later, the exit doors for the pods opened and they had left.

Had they made it out alive?

What are you

You are a kettle whistling to spawn  tea.

You are a seagull willing to  pinch a snack from the sea.

You are a chicken pecking at the chickpea.

You are the sun glistening in the day after eating the moon.

You are Neal Armstrong blasting of into space in a 2 winged machine.

You are the thermometer erupting with alcohol .

You are the poor Pluto being bullied for being diminutive.

You are the agony swelling up my leg .

You are a humming bird humming a defining hum.

You are the creaky step leading to deaf.

You are the icy fear trickling down my back as a silhouette approached.

You are the skeletal leaves clenching on to the fossilised tree .

you are a finished poem…
