The Sky-ship started to creak away from the crash site. Kyran, who was still in shock from the greeting of the Carer-Walker, was peering over the edge of the ship’s side in awe from the view. He was looking over the edge for a good couple of minutes, when all of a sudden, a giant wave fell onto the island’s coast. This was when he eventually remembered the speech of the Carer, which said, “We need to get your friend, your crew and the long lost Captain, Captain Bethelina.”
He was disappointed with himself. He must do something!
While Kyran was having his own little nightmare, a giant, mottled purple head emerged from the unsettled water below. All went dark: around him were barnacles, surrounded by decaying skin; mottles with white puss oozing out of them; and filthy, orange hair engulfed the other horrors around it.
Kyran was disturbed, guilty and uncomfortable when this happened. He went to investigate from the light at the end of the boat, but the Captain pulled him back and told him,
“Whatever you do, do not and I say do NOT go out there! The leader of the Octo-Army has wrapped his tentacle around the ship like a toddler holding a toy.”
Kyran knew he had to do something; he can’t let anyone on the ground and ship be defeated by these determined sea beasts. Weirdly, the ship basically jerked forward, as it was zooming down toward the ground. Their prediction was correct because a couple of seconds later, the ship was shunted right into the sea, losing their hopes of reviving the ship. The octopus stormed off.
Peeking outside to see if the coast is clear, Kyran was huddled in a corner, obviously scared for his life. Kyran thought to himself “today has been really scary and weird, I saw a Carer-Walker and got attacked by the Octo-Army.”
Just as he thought that things could not get worse, they sure did. A small, ordinary fishing boat rode up next to them. They looked like people, he soon came to realise that these people were the Long Lost Captain and Jalene.
They looked in horror when they saw that the Octo-Army was attacking the abandoned Island. This outraged the Captain, who has been living on this island for many moons now.
Kyran saw the look of disgust on Jalene’s face as she faced the octopus army. They both had that feeling that they needed to help, so Kyran jumped off of the ship and got a torch with sharp edges, to try and fear the army of mutants. To no one’s surprise, this did not faze them.
Jalene’s instincts kicked in and remembered what she was keeping a secret in her cabin for a very long time. She had been making a spike launcher, in her free time she had been scavenging on the ship for key components.
She got all of her equipmentready and ago, only to discover her trigger didn’t work. She saw the Lost Explorer being pinned down on the ground by the mutants. Feeling helpless, she watched in horror. Little did she know that the Explorer wanted this to happen so he could reveal his weapon.
He chucked it in the air, it splashed. Then at the blind of an eye, all the beasts were gone.
After these events, the crew got back together, helping each other fix the prototype ship due to their older ship being totaled. Kyran found a piece of the glass she threw in the air and it said, do not use it unless in an emergency as this is a lethal liquid.
“Let’s find the liquid, yeah!” joked Jalene
