Chapter 4

The Sky-ship started to creak away from the crash site. Kyran, who was still in shock from the greeting of the Carer-Walker, was peering over the edge of the ship’s side in awe from the view. He was looking over the edge for a good couple of minutes, when all of a sudden, a giant wave fell onto the island’s coast. This was when he eventually remembered the speech of the Carer, which said, “We need to get your friend, your crew and the long lost Captain, Captain Bethelina.”

He was disappointed with himself. He must do something!

While Kyran was having his own little nightmare, a giant, mottled purple head emerged from the unsettled water below. All went dark: around him were barnacles, surrounded by decaying skin; mottles with white puss oozing out of them; and filthy, orange hair engulfed the other horrors around it.

Kyran was disturbed, guilty and uncomfortable when this happened. He went to investigate from the light at the end of the boat, but the Captain pulled him back and told him,

“Whatever you do, do not and I say do NOT go out there! The leader of the Octo-Army has wrapped his tentacle around the ship like a toddler holding a toy.”

Kyran knew he had to do something; he can’t let anyone on the ground and ship be defeated by these determined sea beasts. Weirdly, the ship basically jerked forward, as it was zooming down toward the ground. Their prediction was correct because a couple of seconds later, the ship was shunted right into the sea, losing their hopes of reviving the ship. The octopus stormed off.

Peeking outside to see if the coast is clear, Kyran was huddled in a corner, obviously scared for his life. Kyran thought to himself “today has been really scary and weird, I saw a Carer-Walker and got attacked by the Octo-Army.”

Just as he thought that things could not get worse, they sure did. A small, ordinary fishing boat rode up next to them. They looked like people, he soon came to realise that these people were the Long Lost Captain and Jalene.

They looked in horror when they saw that the Octo-Army was attacking the abandoned Island. This outraged the Captain, who has been living on this island for many moons now.

Kyran saw the look of disgust on Jalene’s face as she faced the octopus army. They both had that feeling that they needed to help, so Kyran jumped off of the ship and got a torch with sharp edges, to try and fear the army of mutants. To no one’s surprise, this did not faze them.

Jalene’s instincts kicked in and remembered what she was keeping a secret in her cabin for a very long time. She had been making a spike launcher, in her free time she had been scavenging on the ship for key components.

She got all of her equipmentready and ago, only to discover her trigger didn’t work. She saw the Lost Explorer being pinned down on the ground by the mutants. Feeling helpless, she watched in horror. Little did she know that the Explorer wanted this to happen so he could reveal his weapon.

He chucked it in the air, it splashed. Then at the blind of an eye, all the beasts were gone.

After these events, the crew got back together, helping each other fix the prototype ship due to their older ship being totaled. Kyran found a piece of the glass she threw in the air and it said, do not use it unless in an emergency as this is a lethal liquid.

“Let’s find the liquid, yeah!” joked Jalene

Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

As the stories continued through the night, the fire kept raging until it began to violently rain. Due to the bad mood of the Captain, Kyran was forced to seek shelter for the crew. To help him, he call for Jalene, but she was no where to be seen. She was surprisingly not even in her favourite place, the peak of a tree. Nevertheless, Kyran wanted to help the Captain, so he continued the search for shelter.

When he was strolling down a beaten path, the strange rustling sound got louder and closer than ever. Kyran thought the worst, when all of a sudden a Carer-walker emerged precariously from the emerald bush. This made him launch back in shock. What does it want?

To Kyrans surprise, the Carer approached him with kind eyes, which also looked a bit scared. Out of the abyss, The Carer opened his mouth. When his mouth opened, out came violent rays of cheesy garlic.

When Kryan eventually got over that nauseating stench, the Carer was saying,

“The Octo-army has found its way to this desperate island, we need to get your friend, your crew and the long lost Captain, Captain Bethelina. Go tell them now!”

This shook the young Kyran, who was nodding, got up from the ground to go get the crew. When he got back, they looked at him excitedly, hoping he found, long needed shelter. Their hearts were crushed when he told them they needed to go. Coincidentally, that very same night, the repairs were finished to the Y.M.K during the time he was gone. The new (kind of) hand-made balloon inflated and they were away!

Prologue and Chapter 1

Prologue:

You’ve probably heard of the Sky-ship Y.M.K. In the summertime, you can be greeted with the fully equipped lobby, meanwhile, when you are taking to the air, you get to be loaded with breathtaking views of the aesthetic rivers. When you fly, there would have been a towering arched doorway leading to the sweet fresh air on a fresh balcony. You probably got taken to Mount Averoni, with its flat edges, facing onto the crystal clear, tropical Filipino seafront. Voyaging in the heat is like this.

But travelling on an expedition, that is a whole other story. You get sent out to the Easternmost point of the globe, many myths surround this area. So they say, a lung-gripper physically rips your lungs out. If you do, you should try a Sky-ship voyage at the crack of dawn to be particularly safe. You should also try to assist your crew-members, if any attacks arise from the 45-legged Octo army. Few people ever get out of there alive. Rumour has it the Xroma lives in this region, under the ships of its prey.

Chapter 1:

The crowd of onlookers were stunned by the Sky-ship Y.M.K as it departed from The Capital Bay. Captain Emrow perched on the edge of the grand balcony, waving to the crowd beneath him. The mechanisms roared into action. Lift-off was ago. The captain was thrilled with his creation.

Glancing downwards, Kyran and Jalene took one look at the city of Veserma: all the homes looked like pocket sized bricks; cars looked like beetles, speeding down the roads; and Kashrema River looked like a worm, rolling through the city. In the distance, the sweet smell of bark covered the environment like a sheet around it, when they passed, the emerald green leaves snapped off the branches, while the Sky-ship grazed the tree.

Anxiously, Jalene peered over the side of the ship, finding a large piece of tree on the ship, this was concerning to Jalen. Will the ship be safe in this condition?

After the stew dinner, the Y.M.K was back to coasting along the sheet of trees, new and exciting insects brushed along the crew members faces, fishers looked up in astonishment, while their boats jerked in the cloudy lake.

“I don’t think that the ship will make it to the isle of Anaghoma” Jalene stated.

Kyran glared down at the side of the ship “I think you might be right, should we tell the Captain?” Kyran queried.

They both nodded.

Later that night, fog painted the atmosphere and storms intimidated the surroundings. None of the Sky-ships inhabitants got any rest: their faces were shook and pale; their usually joyful eyes were bloodshot; and their muscles were painful and weak.

Just as they thought nothing could go wrong, they were in for a surprise, ear piercing alarms went off. The balloon of the sky-ship was torn. With all of this going on, Kyran, Jalene and the Captain powered through the pain, just to reach to control. The Captain set out the wings. That instant, the Sky-ship glided down the steep mountain. Just poking out of the distance, glittery sand blinded the eyes of the trio, leaving them to crash land underneath a forest canopy.

My Sky-ship Application

23rd May 2023

Sky-ship way

Dear Captain Culpepper,

I am writing to you today to request you for a employment opportunity on the Sky-ship, Aurora. I hope there is a position for a young talented, focused boy like myself. I have always desired to be employed on the Sky-ship.

First of all, I have completed my T.A.N.t’s, which stands for Transport and Navigation Tests. I think this is useful to the crew as I can be the second-in-line driver. I can also help with the maps and compass world, allowing us to navigate to new islands while avoiding danger.

Secondly, I have learn how to speak multiple languages, keeping us connected to foreign member; this is useful for for us telling them commands, even if they don’t understand.

In addition, I am a skillful builder. If the ship ever malfunctions, I will always be on the job. I can also use my carpentry skills, which is really helpful, to make new things.

If you could kindly find a spot for this trained driver and carpenter, I am always ready for work on the Aurora.

Yours sincerely,

                            Shaw Wilson

Advice for an Explorer

Advice for an Explorer

Have you ever had a dream about going on an exciting voyage, around the world and even further. If you answered yes , this is the piece of writing for you. Take note of this list and what you need to pack and succeed.

If you encounter a ogre in a swamp, use your animal-slayer. You will need to do this due to the green ogre being alarmingly dangerous. Blow up bed, which you can use for as a raft, should always be stored in your backpack. During dawntime, retrieve your compass, as the best time for moving is dawn.

If you encounter a field of white roses, pay caution to the aroma of cooking skin coming from an old cottage: old skin rippers crawling down the crooked steps. They will turn your skin to boiled dermis, and you will be left as bones on the ground. To prevent this, bring sour lemon-juice, this will cause them to disintegrate.

Your companion will always be by your side; it will aid you in quest, if you ignore it, they will turn on you.

Always have a map by your hand, this will lead you onwards or back. If you encounter any sort of tavern on your map, enter, as this will hold some treasure lay.

If you are daring enough to proceed on your adventure, be wary of what you pack, only pack what you need. Always be aware of your surroundings; monsters like the devil, and trees that are out to get you.

Good luck fellow explorers.

How to find a Lost Explorer

And wait for the scintillating sun to fall,

Like a balloon in the sky.

Question the old beaver family,

For any enlightenment,

On your lengthy voyage.

Follow the old crooked lane,

For there is where a secret door lay,

Staring back at you will be an old map,

Which will lead you on your way.

Once you find this location-giver,

Look upon it and mark the way,

For there is a goblin,

Which you are his prey.

Climb up the snowfield mountain,

Find your final destination,

Forget about the sheer pressure on you,

For you need to get to your location,

Before the time runs out.

Locate your way around the tip,

That is where your explorer lay,

Your quest is coming to an end,

The explorer will be found in a barrel full of hay.

Superhero letter

22nd March 2023

24 Tower Drive

IP27 OEP

Dear Commander Jumparound,

I am writing to today as I recommend you reconsider your decision to become a superhero. The people in this city are not grateful for your services. The points below are my reasoning for this.

My first point is that, when you do get to the target, your punch is very affective; however, sometimes it does absolutely nothing. Although when it does decide to work, your attack is too effective as it causes the enemy to become injured. However most of the time, they walk away with no injuries. So my argument is that it does more bad than good.

Furthermore, your outfit is encouraging children of the city to put things around their necks. This concerns me as you are meant to be help all types of people, young or old. Not try to harm them! To add to this, when you eventually come back down to earth, your stamp is so powerful that it damages the public property. This wastes the governments money-which can be used to actually fight the city’s crime. When you do this, it injuress people around you.

Few people believe that you should carry on with your dream and continue saving people. On the other hand, the majority of people  are beginning to realise that that you do more bad than good. I believe that this is unacceptable. Do you think you can be a superhero if you create havoc.

To summarise my points, you provide the city no protection. I think you should definitely reconsider your decision on becoming a superhero. If I were you I would relax and consider a suitable career choice.

Yours sincerely,

                 Doctor Pepper

Chapter 3: The Location

Chapter 3: The location

Henry arised in a startled manner; the rhino was still in her slumber. Outside, the sound of voices filled the air. As there were many tiny cracks in the walls, Henry looked out of the largest one, he could distinctly work out the shape of someone. Henry pinched the Rhinos leg lightly. It woke up. Light rays shone into the Rhino’s eyes. Henry signalled to her to not make a noise.

Hoarse voices yelled at the door; the rhino bashed her horn on the wall. Henry gulped.

Seconds later, they were both on their hands and knees, crawling to a better hiding spot. The worried Henry and even more scared Rhino were desperately breaking open a hatch on the ground. Crates and chairs, which were rusting, crashed down, locking them in the hatch.

All of a sudden, the rusted door was bashed down and footsteps filled the room. Brightness shone through the hatches. With his teeth chattering and hands over his nose because of the stench, the guards stood right above the hatch. Suspense grew as the guard stood right above them. The ground above was crumbling.

After what seemed like a decade, the room was silent, So they opened the hatch with all of their might. Although under all the pressure, the hatch just crumbled on them.

Although Henry knew where the gateway was, the Rhino did not. It was at the ancient train station, the station had a mouldy oak door with huge steel bolts. Although Henry knew that his family would be at the at the train opening. This scared Henry because he wasn’t meant to be out, although he knew it would be the right thing to do. The Rhino-who could not stop fidgeting-was already out of the door.

Question Panther

Panther, Panther

Why pounce at night when your prey

is not visible?

Panther, Panther

Do you know how to run,

hop or jump without being manic?

Why don’t you save some energy for hunting?

Panther, Panther

Why do you always murder for food,

have you ever tried fruit?

Panther, Panther

With the strong jaw of yours,

does it ever ache?

Why choose not to rip up your prey with your claws?

Panther, Panther

With that thick fur of yours,

do you ever overheat?

Panther, Panther

Why do you choose to sleep during  the day?

Have you ever considered playing at sunlight

What am I

What am

I?

My large ears point up like pizzas on my head,

I can hear miniscule sounds from far far away,

My legs assist me to pounce around the savanna,

With these camouflaged legs I look like a blur,

I live in Eastern Africa,

This is all I need,

All my food is right here,

My large straw like tail,

Sways in the wind,

Many different feelings inhabit me,

As I discover new things,

My mind turns even more,

I sleep in the shrubs,

Away from danger,

During dawn and dusk I rest my eyes.

My claws are slobbered in crimson blood,

I pounce on my prey
