SNAKE_PEDE

Snake-Pede:

The Snake-Pede is a strange yet fascinating creature. Discovered recently, scientists have freeted over whether or not this creature is a danger to the humans. However, contrary to popular belief, the creature is completely harmless and experts now believe that due to the fact that humans are unknown to the Snake-Pede species.

This remarkable creature has many distinctive features this is one of the reasons why it has remained hidden from humans. Amazingly, the Snake-Pede can change the colour of its body to adapt to their surroundings, this is one factors that contribute greatly to its concealment. Next, most unusually, it has two heads this enables them to have a 360 degree view this assists it to beware any predetors approaching.

Gennerally, they are found in the vast jungle of the Amazon rainforest. Although, very rarely, they are found in the Sahara desert. They have murky, green skin which are suitable for living in forest and some have sandy- yellow colour to blend in with deserts.

Their staple diet consists of insects and birds, these creature do not eat humans. However, their species are dying out as they are struggling to find insects to eat.

The beauty of nature

The nightshade flower was speckled in the field,

Its crimson- red petals were outliined with the faintest line of ebony- black,

They were stooping down to bow to their lush – green stems,

The dagger like thorns on the stem pierced the petals.

The rose’s petals were blood – red,

It was as smooth and soft as silk,

It crumbled away at the lightest touch,

As though it was as britttle as glass.

The fir tree towered over me like a skyscraper,

It was a cold, porridge grey,

But it moved down to a chocolate – brown,

Up above, its bare branches stuck out like arms.

The snapdragon snapped its petals at me,

Their petal were a bright orange blinding me,

It was as delicate as flags,

And, as soft as a tiger’s fur.

On my way home…

I met a troll called Greed ,

His eyes bulged out like a toad’s ,

He grinned a malicous grin reaveling his grotesque, crooked teeth,

His shaggy, brown beard concealed his large, beefy neck.

I met a wizard called Magic,

He did look very tragic,

His hollow eyes bore into mine,

As it sparkled like a dime.

I met a fairy called Sparkle,

Her eyes as dark as charcoal,

She had iridescent wings that fluttered frantically,

And her long, silver gown flapped around her legs.

I met a girl called Night,

She had ebony-black hair that poured out to her waist

Her eyes werelike the darkest of pearls glinting like the night stars

As her long, cold fingers touched me a shiver went down my back.

I met a man called sun,

His eyes pierced through mine,

His beard was a crimson red,

And his hair swished around in the wind.

I met a girl called Swamp,

Her hair was a tangle and it was covered with twigs and leaves,

Her clothes were ripped and frayed,

Her nails were grimy and were chipped in several places,

Her blue eyes were just visible among the great mess of filth and dirt.

I met a man called tree,

His collosal body blocked my way,

He wore a lush green top that camouflaged him

A strand of verdent- green sprouted out of his otherwise brunette head.
