Chapter 4

Before we knew it, we woke up and we were in a strange forest surrounded by trees. I sat up and and saw a strange creature underneath the water. IT SAW ME! I hid behind a tree and held my breath. It found me and for a moment I thought I was going to die but instead it spoke to me and said hello i am ditchmander and my species originated from human kind, that is why I saved you two. I was very surprised when I saw what it looked liked because it looked very different from when it was in the water. In a nervous tone I said how did you change from creature to human? She said, I can shapeshift now follow me. We walked through the Misty forest and she brought us back out of the Dark side of the forest and took us back to the book shop (UBS)

When we got back, she revealed an egg. She said to us, keep this safe for I have no time for it. After the she walked of,  we never saw her since we only hear the tale of the ditchmander…

Chapter 3

The room fell silent. Five minutes later, Tye jumped up and said I have an idea! He said we should go and find the home of the creature. I could not believe he actually said we should find it. I agreed, so we set off out into the cold dark night. A cold breeze of air tapped along my shoulder as we walked into the deep, misty forest. Suddenly, we heard howling and a loud splash. Immediately, we found ourselves stuck with rising water. Apparently, Tye knows a bit about the creature and he says it has teleportation powers. I was kind of surprised by this because nobody has ever talked or knew about this creature. Then we heard footsteps behind us. I got worried after I found out the water was rising. After Tye eventually calmed me down I realised the ditchmander was standing right behind me … AHHHHHH!

Chapter 2

 I didn’t look at his face and sat there in silence of the darkness.We sat there hoping it would disappear, hoping it was a dream. I clench my eyes so hard like I was asleep I slowly open my eyes and I noticed it wasn’t there. I slowly turned my head to the boy and he told me his name was Tye. We cautiously crawled out from underneath the desk. 

A few hours later, we were sat by the fire. He finally said “ we saw the… the… 

 Ditchmander  you should know, the book you keep in the back of the shop, the book you didn’t illustrate. It is the legend of the DITCHMANDER! I never knew clenching my fist. My boss , Mrs Debra Alexandria, told me to put it in the back and never read it. So I never did

Prologue

You may have not heard of the UBS (unique bookshop) but now you will.  There is one book which is about a mysterious creature called a ditchmander oh and before I forget, my name is Leah but everyone calls me leigh. I work at UBS if you didn’t get that, that’s  why I know about the book we keep in the back. 

Chapter 1

A young boy tapped on my shop window. I jumped. “Let me in” he screeched over and over. I gave in after a while he said we need to go and you can help me don’t ask questions. I stood there confused. Suddenly, he grabbed my arm and quickly dragged me to my desk then hid us both underneath it.I didn’t dare look at his face. Five minutes later he slowly got up to close the curtains. All he said was keep your mouth shut and don’t move a single muscle. Immediately, I heard the door creek open and I peered over to see what it was and I saw a menacing creature like the one in the book. Although it was menacing it looked very beautiful.
