The Shed

The old shed stands quiet,

Thinking about the days gone by,

When his doors stood open more often,

And the summer sun blazed in the sky,

Its time then was filled with laughter,

And screams of delight and surprise,

As children played with the treasure,

That the teachers fetched from inside.

But now the lights falling faster,

The winter winds start to bite,

Now the door no longer stands open,

As the seasons snow starts to take flight,

Gone is the laughter of children,

Along with the leaves and the trees,

The shed takes his seasonal slumber,

Awaiting a warm summers breeze.
