All About the Sand Dragon

Today, we discover general information about the Sand Dragon, a rather common dragon species with the Earth holding over 75,000 alone. We are looking at what scientists have researched and investigated.

The Sand Dragon usually lives in warm deserts, being active during the day and sleeping at night, like a human. It has soft, golden skin, and large, sodden wings attached by wet sand and thin muscles in its body. It prefers to avoid fire or other heat sources, as it has a high chance of becoming glass and freezing in place if it touches any warm surfaces.

It additionally fancies consuming beach critters such as crabs, barnacles, mussels, washed up starfish and snails which keep Sand Dragons well fed for a few hours. It drinks salt water on a regular basis, about 2-3 gallons per 24 hours. When meeting with other Sand Dragons, they become courteous and share the collected grub. Besides, when seeking shelter during the night, they’d typically dig a large, open hole in the sand to sleep in.  They always enclose it first, so predators cannot enter. If there is no sand nearby, the sit beside a tree instead.

Furthermore, Sand Dragons have a variety of abilities including causing sandstorms when they are angry, flicking large tumbleweeds, and instantly growing cacti. These can sometimes be used to their advantage, but not very often. Offensive tactics are commonly used when another life form is attacking them.

So did you learn anything? You probably have. One fact to note is that Sand Dragons are completely harmless to humans unless you tease them, which is NOT a good idea.
